Un ripiano ulteriore per appoggiare i vestiti e qualche gancio dove appendere gli asciugamani farebbero comodo.

• daughter (5/5): Disappointed. - It’s location at old ancient city, good value if you prefer to explore ancient city. I had a disappointing experience with the service at this hotel, particularly during check-out. I arrived at the check-out area at 8.27am and informed a staff member in a black shirt that I needed assistance with my luggage to the entrance at 8.30am.Although he initially agreed, he became preoccupied with other guests and left me waiting. Shortly after, another staff member in a light green shirt arrived and immediately assisted other tourists, while I was still left unattended. The first staff member eventually returned and told me, “Let’s go,” but there was confusion about my luggage being in a different vehicle. Instead of resolving the issue, he walked off and later came back only to say goodbye, without actually helping. To make matters worse, another staff member wearing glasses approached me abruptly and complained that it was already 8:35 AM, accusing me of being late despite the fact that I had been there earlier and was waiting for assistance. His tone was rude and dismissive. I tried to explain the situation and even pointed out the staff member I had spoken to, but it was clear he had no interest in listening.I understand that language barriers can happen, but this felt more like a lack of care and basic respect toward guests. This same staff member was also present during check-in, which suggests a consistent issue with attitude rather than a one-off misunderstanding. Overall, the experience left a very negative impression. When you pay for a hotel stay, you expect a certain level of professionalism and courtesy—especially in simple situations like check-out assistance. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. Guests have to rely entirely on stairs, which can be very inconvenient if you’re traveling with luggage. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel if you have heavy bags or mobility concerns, as it may not be suitable for elderly guests or anyone who struggles with stairs.

• alan (10/5): Wonderful - Charming hotel in a great location. A staff member meets you at South Gate with a trolley so you don't need to struggle with your bags over the cobbled streets. Without this I think it would be quite hard to find. The staff are wonderful particulary Joye who was suoer helpful with tickets to various sites etc. you simply MUST go to the Impressions show, about an hour away from Lijiang. It's spectacular. Joye even cooked dinner for us one night - great cook! we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Nothing, it was perfect

Perfect verblijf! Bij aankomst vonden we de kamer niet echt schoon. Er lagen nog sokken van de vorige bewoners en het toilet zag er wat smoezelig uit.

First I have to thank Joye for being super nice and helpful, he was in touch before I arrive and managed to book for me tour and sort everything to make my stay wonderful. The hotel is located in the middle of the old town in a beautiful old Chinese house, I loved my room with the spa bathtub, it was like going back in time to live a Chinese’s dynasty. Joye spoke excellent English and his assistant was nice enough to pick me and my luggage from the South Gate to to the hotel, they were doing everything to make my stay comfortable. Joye also booked for me jade snow mountain tour and recommended amazing restaurants. Thank you for all the help, highly recommend this place :) Nothing, everything was excellent

• nir (10/5): Great stay at Big Tree Guesthouse – clean rooms, quiet central location, very helpful owner. Highly - We would like to thank Big Tree Guesthouse – Naxi Old Style for an excellent stay. The owner speaks very good English and communicates easily through both WeChat and WhatsApp. He was always ready to help with anything we needed and provided us with useful information. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area right in the heart of Lijiang’s ancient city. The rooms are spacious and clean, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the price is very reasonable. Since vehicles are not allowed inside the old city, someone kindly waited for us at the entrance and carried our luggage. At the end of our stay, as the room was not booked, the owner even allowed us a late checkout at no extra charge. We highly recommend this guesthouse!

The courtyard was a great bonus to hang out by when it was raining (covered seating areas). They have the cutest two cats that made our stay extra special. The bed was soooo comfortable. Joye was a great host! He made sure we got the best recommendations and best price for our tiger leaping gorge trip. The location is perfect too. Nothing.

En una zona tranquila y muy bonita, en pleno 'old town", pero alejada del bullicio, ,por la noche tranquilidad absoluta. Justo a la salida hay un desvio que te conecta con uno de los canales, que me pareció de los mas más bonitos de la ciudad. El personal muy bien, Joye es muy agradable y buena persona, habla bien el inglés. Todo el personal se portó muy bien conmigo. Guardo un bonito recuerdo y volvería al mismo lugar. Lo recomiendo!

The property sadly doesn’t look like the photos. Whilst it perhaps used to look like this, there is rubbish all over the property. In every corner, there is litter and discarded items. The room wasn’t clean - we had an issue with soiled bedsheets on arrival, the bathroom and all surfaces, and floors were unclean. There was food underneath the balcony chairs. When a rain storm came, water dripped from multiple points from the ceiling. We decided to stay elsewhere after 1 night at this hotel. However the staff were lovely and gave us a refund of 2 nights after we explained we didn’t want to sleep there further. We would have been happy to stay if the cleanliness wad sorted out, and it looked like the pictures.

• Duc (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Joyce is an awesome manager. He’s very hospitable, knowledgable and willing to go extra miles to help our group. The premise is perfectly located in the old town and rooms are spacious and clean.

• anna (10/5): - Onze kamer was licht, prettig, met ruime badkamer. Hulp bij het vervoer naar volgende locatie. Bij een grote hoosbui lekte het in de kamer. Niet alle kamers had ik prettig gevonden. Beneden heel donker en aan doorgaande route voor andere gasten.

J'ai senti que le staff avait vraiment à cœur de m'offrir la meilleure expérience possible. L'accueil était sincère et authentique. L'hôtel est parfaitement situé, en plein cœur de la belle ancienne ville de Lijiang, mais à la fois dans un endroit calme et apaisant. La chambre était parfaitement propre et très confortable, spacieuse et lumineuse. Des espaces de repos agréables à l'extérieur sont très appréciés et jolis. Je ne peux imaginer un meilleur endroit pour séjourner à Lijiang. Je recommande très fortement et sans hésitation cet établissement. Merci ! Kristel, du Canada.

• Tess (8/5): Excellent value for money - Friendly helpful owner was English speaking and helped with our transport. He booked a shared driver to pick us up from Shaxi, recommended places to see and arranged another driver to take us to Shangri La with a stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge. The driver was incredibly helpful as it would have been overwhelming to get through the ticketing and queues. It is not the prettiest of properties on first impression but the room was comfortable.

Auch der Restaurant-Tipp für mich als Vegetarier für HotStonePot mit Pilzspezialitäten war klasse. Nochmal vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt. Super gemütlicher Innenhof. Wahrscheinlich das modernste WC, auf dem ich bisher gesessen bin. Tolle Lage, mitten in der Altstadt. Etwas hellhörig, da die Türen nicht ganz schließen. War für uns aber nicht so schlimm.

• Hsin-I (10/5): I highly recommend this hotel. - The location is great, there are lots of diners nearby. It is quiet, and the bed is comfortable. I stayed there for two nights and slept very well. I will definitely stay in this hotel next time when I visit Lijiang. I love this hotel very much.

The location of the Minsu is in the old town shopping streets itself but located at a quiet corner. The rooms and beddings are very comfortable , air conditioning is great . Communication with them was easy , could be done via WhatsApp and in English . They will also come and help with the bags at the entrance of the old town gate if you let them what time you will arrive . Nothing
