Guest Reviews
- CScotman (9/5): Ideal for short stay. Clean, comfortable and private. - The tiny house was clean and easily accessed. Bed was comfortable and amenities were good. Lovely big shower stall. The house was very private and had separate access from the owner’s property. Lovely and quiet. It was difficult to lock the door and took some time to master it. Having no local television access did not bother us as we were only in the house to sleep but it may have been an issue for others.
- Hall (9/5): Good for a short stay - Cl9se to where we needed tobe Needs a screen between the tiny house and the main house.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammy (8/5): Very good - A comfy getaway for a couple or a single person as myself to spend time away reflecting. I had a comfortable night's sleep and I had everything that I needed at hand.
I would love to stay there again....
- Pedley (10/5): Exceptional - Location was lovely thanks heaps.
- Borg (10/5): A place to escape, with a Coles nearby, still civilised. - The location was nice, it was a quieter area, away from the busy places. It had all the facilities one needs (fridge, stove, washing machine etc). And again, great value for money. There was a water meter or irrigation pipe that protruded from the ground close to where visitors can park their cars. I don't know who it belongs to, as it's on the border of the property, but you just got to be careful not to trip on it. Otherwise, the tiny home met all my expectations, would certainly come back again.
- Miksfix (5/5): Passable -
- Evelyn (6/5): The tiny house was just what I needed for travelling by myself. - The keys were left inside the door for when I arrived The Airconditioner struggled to work, unable to make the room comfortable.
There was no hot water. One day I went and showered at my mother's aged care residence.
- Alessandro (8/5): Little house, big smile - Small home on wheels with everything you need to live comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen and comfy bed
- Wendy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sanja (10/5): Perfect gat-away for one person if you have your own car. - Very quiet spot, behind the main dwelling, with no need to interact with the owners; it was my own space for a couple of days, well-equipped with everything I could imagine, even the espresso machine with coffee capsules was waiting for me. The owners were very accommodating, as I have changed the dates three times due to unforeseen circumstances, and that was no problem. It was a bit away from all the shops and cafes in the little town, so I needed a car to get around.
- Geoff (9/5): Superb - Nice quiet location.
A short walk to the shops and restaurants.
- Harcourt (7/5): Hot box - Cute little studio Some shade plants or window treatment would help. Black is not a good colour choice.
- Glenn (5/5): Passable -
- Lee (7/5): Work Stay - it was private and quiet. on the whole I was really quite happy with it. I sat on one of the arm chairs, whilst holding a hot drink and fell right through, luckily not burning myself. on investigation there was a tiny cross member support missing and the base had been screwed into the chair frame.
The inside was stifling hot, until the aircon eventually cooled it down (late afternoon).
- Amy (10/5): Perfect for a little getaway! - Beautiful, private and conveniently located getaway for our long weekend visiting family. Nice and contained with everything you need for a short stay. The room can get a bit warm during the heat of the midday, but we were out for most of it and the AC cooled the place down quickly once the sun went down.
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ebony (8/5): Self containable tiny home in close driving proximity to wollongbar tafe great for students had a pleasant stay :) - Great location tucked away from any noise and fairly easy to find. It’s also in close driving proximity to the Wollongbar tafe so great for students studying there. Property was self containable with lots of cooking facility options like oven/stove top and microwave , clean, super comfortable and the arrangement of furniture and decor made the place very pleasant with plenty of room for solo travellers. Highly recommend, and will rebook and stay again.
- Cherie (6/5): Pleasant - NA some information in the accommodation about the local area and facilities would have been nice.
couldn't connect to the YIFI ?
- Rhonda (10/5): Quiet and neat and tidy -
- Keith (8/5): Good value and comfortable, but due to the step arrangement, more suited to a younger couple. - Close to town, clean and comfortable. Had a toilet blockage, but that was unforeseen, and was quickly sorted. Despite the small space, the air conditioning seemed to struggle to cool the area as it got quite hot in the afternoon. The step up into the unit wasn’t good for us older folk.
- David (5/5): THE INTERIOR GOOD THE EXTERIOR APAULLING AND STEPS INTO VAN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. - This is really a mobile home on wheels. The kitchen facilities very good as was the cleanliness of the interior. The exterior was an absolute disgrace. The lawn not mown extremely untidy around the mobile.
THE STEPS INTO THE VAN ATROCIOUS, EXTREMEY DANGEROUS, WHS WOULD NOT ALLOW IT. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE COUNCIL BY A PREVIOUS GUEST, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. THERE IS NO GRAB RAIL. ONE PLINTH HAS COLLAPSED SO THE VAN WOBBLES AND SLOPES TO THE WEST. IT IS EXTEMELY HOT AS FACES WEST. AIR CONDITIONER NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY AT THE CURRENT PRICE. PAY NO MORE THAN $100.00 THE GARDEN TO BE TIDIED UP AND LAWNS MOWN.
PROPER STEPS AND GRAB RAIL INTO VAN. SOMEONE COULD HAVE A VERY BAD ACCIDENT.
WORTH NO MORE THAN $100.00
- Helen (1/5): It was one night only - more than enough - No breakfast provided. Dangerous entry into little house which was extremely dangerous. The little house is about 1 metre from ground level, with access to the door via kiddies metal steps which sit on bricks without being attached and finish about half a metre from entry, so its a huge step. I fell the first time I tried to enter (the only way) and we sought alternative accommodation. Also reported the step situation to the local Council Building inspector. Would hate anyone else to have a fall which is almost unavoidable. The Ballina Council has our photos.
- Doris (10/5): Very pleasant and comfortable stay - Lovely cabin well laid-out and easy to navigate, the cooker worked great as did the kettle and TV, decent shower, I didn't need the aircon. It's located in an attractive suburban area, making for pleasant local walks at sunset and sunrise and during the day and it was nice and quiet. The cabin is well appointed and had blinds available on all windows. Hosts were away but someone was caring for the property in their absence, excellent and fast communications in relation to my later-than-expected arrival. Very happy overall.
- Dominic (7/5): Good -
- Steve (7/5): As advertised, met expectations, comfortable. - Car parking and access did not handle the wet/rainy conditions too well.
- Scott (10/5): Perfect for my trip and central to my tournament in Lismore, accommodation had everything I needed for me - Clean , well presented and location Nothing
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dieter (10/5): Cozy tiny house in great location - Cozy well equipped cabin.
- Pottle (7/5): Good - It was so quiet, which was excellent, and the tiny home experience was great. So clean and tidy. Need more secure stairs into the tiny house. The ones there now are a bit rickety. Also the parking situation could be improved with gravel and a set marked spot to park.
- Dan (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Comfortable bed
Friendly and kind hosts Need a curtain on kitchen window
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Lesley (7/5): Satisfactory. - Location was nice and central.
Plenty of cutlery and china and cooking utensils.
It was an appallingly hot couple of days so I appreciated the air-conditioning being on when I arrived. Disappointing not to find tea bags, instant coffee and a small milk available upon my arrival.
Lots of storage space in kitchen but no space for clothing.
Garden setting needs some work … I.e. there isn’t any!
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Excellent value for Alstonville/Ballina. - good location near all Alstonville shops and the very good pub. Central location for Ballina and Lismore. No problems because everything is new.
- Lyal (9/5): I went to spend time with my children and they live literaly behind this. - It's proximaty to everything i required. Had all the requirements to be called self contained. I am a single man so it was
perfect for me. Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): A great uninterrupted stay. Clear instructions for arrival. Full facilities … microwave, kettle, fridge plus full oven a - Clean with full facilities. Had I been there longer the oven in particular would have been useful. - The noisy toilet system. Being next to the house made me self conscious using it.
- Windows overlooking the yard. It meant I kept curtains closed.
- Couldn’t work out how to operate the TV.
- Robyn (7/5): Good - Inside Accomodation was very good. We didn't like the outside upkeep, lawn not mowed weeds, thruout.
Was not presented well outside surrounds.
Front step, was unstable.
- Greenland (9/5): Good little place for a getaway - In an area that makes accessibility to other locations very convenient.
Easy to find. No dedicated table to eat meals.
Having the car parked at the front of the host's yard was an inconvenience but understandable due to the location of the accommodation.
- Donna (9/5): My stay was comfortable, quiet, private, and only walking distance to the town centre. -
- Fiona (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay, lovely hosts, would recommend. - Beautifully decorated. Clean and comfortable. Compact but used space well. Perhaps not suitable for a long stay.
- Brian (10/5): A Delightful Stay! - The room was beautifully appointed, with tasteful decor and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I had a restful sleep every night. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
