- Steven (8/5): -
- Zsolt (5/5): Probably nice in summer but avoid it for off season stays - Great location and clean room The hotel was practically closed which they forgot to mention when I booked it , it took 30 minutes to get the information how to get in, there was no stuff, no reception. The heating was off and the room was very cold. I was the only guest next morning at breakfast. It wasn’t a good experience at all.

- Anke (9/5): Schönes Hotel in schönem Dorf - Geräumiges Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, großartiger Garten -
- Hans (8/5): - Hyggeligt sted. Dejlig mad og service Dårligt internat
- Christian Meyer (10/5): Super Hotel mit Freundlichen Personal - Super Hotel mit sehr Freundlichen Personal Es gibt nichts zu Meckern

- Erik (8/5): Fijne locatie en goed restaurant - Mooie faciliteiten, goed restaurant Ontbijt was wat magertjes
- Mark (7/5): Interesting - The location was great and the hotel had character. Breakfast was okay. Parking was a bit of a challenge and the service at the restaurant was not the best we've experienced.
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Diane (10/5): beautiful clean hotel friendly helpful staff - everything our room was on second floor and my husband has walking difficulty so found it hard to climb the stairs but the hotel was so nice he said he would manage…we have booked it again for our return trip
- Nicholas (10/5): Location was great and breakfast was great. Overall, I’d recommend it and stay again. - Close to the train station as well as the town square. In this day and age you should be able to pay using a credit card rather than being forced to pay cash. The bathroom towels weren’t the best. The staff didn’t speak much English. While it really wasn’t a problem, this is the only hotel in Germany I’ve been to that English wasn’t spoken very well. Sure, I’m in a foreign country and respect that German is their language, but am mentioning it for this review.
- Peter (7/5): At this time of year it was a quiet B&B, no restaurant. - Second impression in the morning was better than my first impression, the breakfast was good.
The whole place felt very clean but very empty. First impressions were disappointing, we arrived around 4.30 pm Saturday to find the restaurant was closed for the winter, November 1st until end of December. This was not disclosed on the booking information.
Then we find two disgruntled staff at the door directing us to room 6 telling us that the key was in the door of the room, they then disappeared. Not much of a welcome!
Overall I thought it was overpriced and would not have booked it had I known the restaurant was going to be closed for November and December.
Finally, how ridiculous to have to pay a €650 hotel bill (5 nights) IN CASH.
So many places in Germany including shops, restaurants and hotels only accept cash.
- Carole (10/5): Dripping with Local Color and charm! - I wanted a place with some “Local Color” and I wasn’t disappointed! L’Antica Routan was all I’d hoped for. I’ve been telling all my friends that it was the absolute BEST of the 7 hotels I stayed in during my trip. A BIG thank you to the owners and staff. Perfect! Loved it all!
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Nice location, breafast good No issues
- Terry (7/5): Good -
- Paul (7/5): Good - Location right in the centre of the old town of Annweiler is this hotel's greatest asset. Italian restaurant of good quality as well. Presentation of buffet breakfast could be improved.
- Mark (7/5): Convenient - I very much enjoyed the food in the restaurant. The location of the hotel was excellent especially for people walking the Weinsteig trail since it passes directly in front of the door. The room was small but functional.
- Bill (10/5): Useful stopover on a return trip to Uk: six hours drive to Calais - Good quality accommodation in this converted water mill, with the enclosed moving water wheel the feature of the restaurant. Excellent Italian food in the restaurant and a very good breakfast buffet. nothing
- Dajh (7/5): Pretty Town, good looking building, great meal. - Great and beautiful location, lovely quality food at a very reasonable price Suspect we were given the only smoking room on that landing as it was the only one without a no smoking notice on the door, possibly because we booked through booking.com and not direct. We feel that we had been given a lower quality room. Definitely got the impression previous occupants had been smoking in that room. We asked for a bed with no end on but this request was not fulfilled.
- Helmut (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claxton (8/5): Great place to stay - lovely location, very comfortable and friendly hotel. - Both the dinner and the breakfast were excellent, very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room extremely comfortable, with all the facilities that you would need. We struggled to find the location and then discovered that we had to park in a public car park close by, which wasn't clear when we booked. However, once we located the hotel and the parking everything went very smoothly.
- Ismael (9/5): Superb -
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly hosts.
There was a bottle of water on the house in the room.
Basic but OK breakfast. Doesn't have private parking spots. There's a public one about 100m away.
Room was pretty basic and the walls are really thin.
