Guest Reviews
- Sandra (9/5): Overall we enjoyed it - Spacious, well equipped and quiet. Neither of the 2 provided-heaters worked .
Could be cleaner in areas.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Nice spacious unit with everything we needed Plumbing had issues
- Guest (7/5): Good value for money - A good selection of books. Kitchen amenities were good. The bed was very comfortable The TV could not receive free to to air channels. Netflix, Yoiutube etc worked ok.
- André (6/5): - Pas de petit déjeuner prévu dans cet hébergement
Deco sympa Pas de papier toilette
Pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain
- donna (10/5): - The unit was spacious, well equipped, and private. The washer and dryer were a great bonus. Options for dinner are not far away, and of course, the Bay is postcard perfect.
- Wayne (9/5): - Convenient location
- Max (8/5): -
- Judy (6/5): A very average stay, not good value for what we paid. - Quiet, close to the two main eating areas, close to boat tours, walking distance to shop. The bed was comfortable. TV didn’t work, door downstairs didn’t lock, toilet kept running, shower kept dripping, no book explaining how things operated, plants were dying, too many extension leads, rangehood had to plugged in to the GPO to work, no washing powder.
- Steve (6/5): Quiet studio with easy access to Freycinet National Park - Proximity to Freycinet National Park and quietness Property in need of attention to some maintenance issues
- Trigwell (3/5): Until sewerage fixed this place should NOT be leased out. - Watching the septic tank overflow onto whole front outdoor area and down the driveway. The smell was awful.
Internet, wifi and television not working.
Dishwasher not working but we had been notified about that.
Drains not clearing.
- Ingrid (9/5): Modern apartment on the doorstep of Freycinet National Park - Coles Bay Studio is incredibly comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. It is a 10 minute drive from the trailheads at Freycinet National Park and a short walk from Coles Bay. It’s great having a small kitchen so that you can cater for yourself. The apartment is large and it is very handy havingwashing and drying facilities.
- Dietmar (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (8/5): I will stay here again, if lucky enough to get the chance. - Great location, the kitchenette was very well equipped including some good Tassie products eg the coffee capsules. The casual decor was comfy and fitted the location. Also the washing machine and dryer are very good machines and easy to operate.
- Jocelyn (8/5): Enjoyable - The lovely open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. Great bed and pleasant bedroom The bathroom was very basic. Very small handbags in, and no where to put toilet bags.
Email with PIN code sent earlier.
- Margot (7/5): Comfortable living area with lots of natural light. Good location to take in all the activities. - Great location with easy walking distance to shops and cafe. Very close to Freycinet NP entrance. Access to laundry was through locked door and was being used by guests in the Studio apartment at the back. Weren’t sure whether we could use it or not as unaware there was another accommodation onsite. Lots of spider webs and spiders inside and outside garden area looks unkempt. No instructions for the stove and oven.
- Tracy (8/5): Very good - Easy to find and nice and clean. When we arrived it was so hot inside and there are no fans or aircon. Even a pedestal fan would have helped. To hot to spend the afternoon inside.
- Sal (7/5): Good -
- Bruce (8/5): Very good -
- Tania (10/5): Perfect home away from home - Location location perfect handy to all my needs without having to use the car I had to leave
- Lydia (9/5): Great location - all you need - Amazing location, great little studio with all the necessary things N.a
- Anne (5/5): Passable - N/A We were shocked to learn that the price increased by 21% Resort Tax,
10% VAT what ever that means, as GST is meant to be included in the price quoted. Then there was the 2.5% surcharge for paying by credit card. How else would you want us to pay?????
- Beverley (7/5): A spacious comfortable studio in Cole’s Bay that could be even better with some improvements. - The area of Coles Bay was a great place to be for the Freycinet Peninsula. Spacious studio. Netflix provided. Trees overhanging the property created a lot of noise in the wind, which blows a lot in Tasmania.
Fan and over mirror light not working in the bathroom.
No number or signage for the property at the road made it a little difficult to find the property.
- Mael (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and good location. Smart tv available :) and laundry. A bit cold ;)
- Vivien (8/5): Nice little place to relax when not out walking and exploring. Didn’t spend a lot or time in the studio. Could do with a - Quiet location. Easy access to laundry. Clean. Lights beside bed didn’t work.
Very noisy when windy. Something was flapping around ? Roof.
- John (10/5): The studio was very comfortable, well equipped of conveniently close to the Freycinet National Park - We liked that there was plenty of space, a very comfortable bed and spacious shower. We also appreciated having a washing machine machine after 10 days on the road Nothing springs to mind
- Nathan (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (7/5): Good - Good location Place is looking a little tired, only one outside chair on the deck, which is certainly in need of TLC.
Clothes pegs have seen better days.
- Sue (8/5): Cute cabin studio in an area of unparalleled natural beauty. - Lovely private studio. Cute cabin vibe. Much better than a hotel room No dish brush to wash dishes
- Anna (7/5): Great stay overall - Had everything we needed - good location. Clean and well kitted out . Needs signage at road . Small bit of upgrading needed - new sofa/ better dining chairs / 2 chairs on deck
- T (9/5): Superb - Location and cost
- Nielie (3/5): Not happy. - Location It is run down, you had to watch where you stood on the deck cause the timber was split and broken, very dangerous. The so called garden view was a clothesline a tree and a couple of plants that weren’t looked after. The Lino in the bathroom was pulled up, which made it a tripping hazard. The bathroom had mold, spider webs and dirt on the walls. The couch was filthy, I had to put a blanket on it before being able to sit on it. It is ridiculously over priced.
- Clark (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (8/5): Very quiet and peaceful - Had everything we needed
- Raoul (8/5): Rough on the outside but super comfy inside. - This is an old holiday house renovated for holiday rentals. It has all the comforts you need for a short stay - big and comfy couch, great (new) kitchen, cosy bedroom and super comfy mattress, good quality bed linen. The bathroom could do with an overhall but as we were there just two nights it didnt bother me too much. The heavy glass shower door fell off as the hinges were rusted. I do hope the owners have fixed this as it is an accident waiting to happen. I notified the manager as we checked out. The front yard could be a lovely place to sit if it was cared for - and the balcony too - but they seem scruffy and unkept - not like the inside of the home. Just a little TLC required and this place would be perfect.
- Cian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celeste (7/5): Good - Perfectly comfortable small cottage for the purpose of being close to Freycinet.
- Nola (9/5): Superb - l was unable to find the password for Wifi.
- Andrew (7/5): Overall I was happy with the stay - A booklet on how to use the stove
The ants outside on the balcony are a problem
- Andrew (6/5): We would rather had stayed elsewhere if it were possible due to the above problems. - I missed not having plunger or pod coffee. Instant coffee was a big letdown. At that price a pod coffe machine is not a big ask. Neither is a bag of ground coffee and decent plunger for 2.
I found the cold breakfast supplies below standard compared to other places we stayed The washing machine had a really bad odour so we gave it a clean wash and wipe out but it smelt disgusting.
The instant coffee was a deal breaker
The blinds need to be fixed over the windows so you can adjust them.
A blind covering the front door is needed
The smell of the septic tank was very pungent and lingered around the house when the wind stopped. It was quite offensive.
