- Belinda (9/5): Cosy, quirky and peaceful - What a beautiful place with wonderful views, lots of bird life and just loved all the little touches. Comfy bed.
- Leanne (9/5): A pleasant step back in time - Quaint little cottage, comfortable bed, lovely small fireplace, quiet setting and a nice hostess Despite being a B&B , I wasn’t offered any breakfast
- Paul (10/5): Excellent - Very clean and welcoming Neat , tidy and comfortable
- Rhianna (10/5): - I woke up at A La Folly too The Old Workshop in SA to the sweetest sound of birds twittering. Stepping out onto the patio, I found a charming little French-style vintage table with a couple of rustic wooden chairs waiting for me. The view? Flowers, wheat fields, and Australia showing off at its absolute best. Honestly, it feels like the perfect spot to dive back into to relax, and watch the world go by.
The inside was French style. The attention to detail i appreciated. Its felt warm and comforting. The staff were equally as warm. Breakfast was the cherry on top. This was my favourite place to stay on my Australian journey.

- Patricia (10/5): - Great room and bed very clean and cozy loved the private porch with beautiful view
- Stephen (10/5): - Best B&D I've stayed in N/A
- Sandy (5/5): - A room with no water in a B&B that never mentioned breakfast and did not wash or replace cups when there for 2 nights
- tracy (7/5): Cool place very frency - Set up like a French village
Very quirky and interesting place A closer facility to brush your teeth at least and wipe your hands
I realise the bathroom and toilet were 5 metre walk away but it just a little hard
- steven (10/5): firenly nice and clean and enjoy it all - it was a difrient look in a good way i like it all
- Fran (9/5): Quirky comfortable stay - A La Folly is just like staying in a Gite in France including having fresh juice and delicious crepes for breakfast. Stef is a character who seems to have unbounded energy and wants everyone to enjoy the place as much as she does. We took the optional 3 course dinner as we didn't want the hassle of finding somewhere in town to eat and it was very tasty and plentiful. Yes the toilet and shower are a short walk away but that is part of the character of the place. Nothing. It was our sort of place
- David (10/5): We’ll be back!! 😁 - We absolutely loved our experience in the rustic and cosy Old Tool Shed. Our hosts were very accommodating and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived..
It’s a beautiful place and our only regret is that we couldn’t have stayed for a few more days to really relax and unwind in the surroundings..
- Michael (9/5): A lovely out of town place to crash and relax. - The host was lovely. The food was tasty. The room was comfortable. The atmosphere was charming and creative. Also very much pet friendly. Heater doesn't have a thermostat, so it can get too hot if you leave it on. Not a big deal most of the year of course.
- Newman (10/5): convenient overnight stay for a work trip -
- Leo (9/5): Stef and Rob were incredibly helpful, kind and warm people. The property was cozy and calming. - Great breakfast, excellent butter and selection of jams/spreads. Crumpets and cakes were amazing!
- Chris (3/5): Quirky old stone building in quiet area - Not much. A tired, 1950s cramped room with no room to put anything. At least there was a heater, as it was extremely cold. The location is its only redeeming feature, right on the edge of town and very quiet. As it was very cold, the trip to the bathroom and toilet (20 metres across gravel, through a gate and up 2 steps) was very unpleasant, especially during the night. The bathroom was freezing cold and tiny. Both are old outbuildings with ancient wooden doors that let in the cold air and there was a nasty smell of sewage outside. The free toiletries listed consisted of a tiny bottle of liquid soap. No shampoo etc. The room was very cramped, with a tiny fridge, an electric jug and a toaster, crammed into available space, with a minuscule rubbish bin inside and a slightly bigger one for recyclables outside. No running water in the room, which was quite inconvenient. Breakfast was either pancakes or crepes (although we weren't given a choice on day 1). A continental or cooked breakfast would cost an extra $10 per person, we discovered. This isn't mentioned in the description. The bed was rickety, although reasonably comfortable but the extra blankets could do with dry cleaning as they smell very musty, as does the tiny sofa.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Vicki (7/5): Good -
- Matthew (9/5): Lovely old world place with very friendly staff and very nice french style. visiting again this week - A beautiful, tucked away quiet place with some french style and a rustic 1870's stone cottage feel. The bed in the room I was in was mega comfy - I slept so well. the staff are super friendly too The only negative which is a minor one was the mosquito's in the toilet and bathroom in the mornings but since I was at a location close to the river this is not surprising. easily sortable with those portable mini bug zappers - I will bring one.
- Williams (10/5): Always lovely to stay here. - love the crepes! and the floral decorations NA
- Eva (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good - Love the uniqueness of the property, the owner Stef is great and they were super accommodating of dogs.
- Dot (10/5): Exceptional - Stef is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond for her customers. She has such a stunning decorating style with so much to look at. Absolutely nothing
- Benjamin (9/5): Charming hospitality and a comfortable stay away from it all - Wonderful country hospitality, Stef, Sacha and Chop the dog were really welcoming and thoughtful. Incredibly lucky to have been offered some perfect crepes, which we enjoyed for breakfast overlooking the flood plains from the little porch. Such a refreshing stay out away from it all.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Stef our host was amazing, getting us settled on Christmas day! She checked each day to see we had everything we needed and bought us a beautiful breakfast.
The room and surroundings are quirky and safe for our little dog.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -

- Karen (10/5): This place it what I would call Organic Perfection! - Our hostess made pancakes for breakfast and delivered them to our room, it was displayed beautifully.
