• Melody (7/5): Enjoyed the views, location and peaceful atmosphere. Comfortable for a relaxing getaway. Would stay again. - Views were amazing. Plenty of room. Quiet. Shower is excellent but small. Loved the supply of toiletries: body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Underground parking. Can tell the unit is well used. Needs a good spring clean as dusty (moved the tea kettle and could see where it sat on the counter), window screens need a clean and one window in the living room doesn’t close completely. The dryer lint trap doesn’t stay in place. No Kleenex.

• Natasha (8/5): Overall, we had a wonderful stay in Canmore and the condo stay come ntributed to that space andl location added to tha - The location of the condo and the amenities. I found the owners to be very responsive and friendly. The vet was very comfortable. It would be nice to have a later checkout time that wouldn’t incur an additional charge.

• Cecelia (10/5): This place was absolutely amazing! - The view was amazing and the condo was cozy. Everything you need. The directions from host was easy to follow. You can walk into Canmore to all the shops and restaurants. Absolutely loved! We rented a car and drove to Banff . Not far and traffic is not bad at all through the week. The weekend it got a little crowded, but we were still able to do everything. Our first day we did the tour to all four lakes and we loved it. We heard the best time to go was in the fall, less crowds . Glad we did. So many hiking and biking trails. Some right out the door of the condo which we loved. The elevators were slow and the parking is tight especially if you had to park by a cement pole coming in late, but we made it work.

• Ty (10/5): Short stay in Canmore in a beautiful apartment with stunning views of the mountains. - Beautiful views, comfortable apartment which was very well equipped and had everything you need. Amazing shower! The parking was very easy too. We liked everything about the apartment. We did need a taxi to get into town but that wasn’t a problem.

• Janine (10/5): Wished we could have stayed longer than one night. - Roomy apartment with amazing view and nice balcony. Nothing about the property only the one lift was out of order which is obviously an inconvenience when you have suitcases to take up a few flights.

• Briony (1/5): Terrible - No lift. Top floor - 95 steps. Lift has been out of action since March but not advised of this. Unclear where the building was. No reception, no help. Totally unsuitable property for a solo traveller without a car. Confusing and late check in at 4pm and compulsory departure by 10 made this a very expensive stay. I felt trapped as unable to go out and get food etc.

• Stefanie (8/5): Lift broken! (Jun 2025) - Fantastic location, beautiful and clean luxurious apartment with a mountain view. Gorgeous bathroom. We loved Canmore but would choose somewhere quieter in future (see vent comment below) The inconvenience of the lift issue really can't be overstated and I really hope the host has amended their copy-paste welcome instructions and description to include a warning about this. It'd been an issue for two months before we stayed and we had no idea until we arrived, and it seems it's going to be an issue for a while. To get to the apartment you have to walk up three flights of stairs, then walk down a corridor half the length of the building (the top central flight of stairs nearest the apartment is also blocked off to fix the lift), up the final flight of stairs, then back down half of the building again. Someone with a disability or mobility issues simply couldn't access this apartment. It put a real downer on the stay and if we'd have known we would have chosen elsewhere as my partner had a back injury and we struggled with our suitcases. The other (much more minor) issues were 1) no baking sheet/baking tray, so we had to cook pizzas creatively. A small expense for the owner which would make a big difference to guests 2) not the owners fault but the vent in ground in the courtyard that the apartment looks over really is very loud. If you're looking forward to sitting on that balcony listening to the birds/sounds of the town, it won't happen, you can't hear anything over the noise of the vent. So odd, I've never encountered anything like it elsewhere in Canada/other countries. We couldn't have a conversation sat out there without raising our voices. With the window closed it didn't disturb our sleep, it was just really unexpected.

• Peter (8/5): Amazing apartment - Amazing apartment, perfect for our 4 night stay in Canmore. Spacious and well appointed, with everything we needed to relax and soak in the stunning views from the lounge and balcony. Location was great with a few eateries in walking distance. Check-in comms were good, with pin access to unit. Really recommend Canmore and this unit Only thing to note was the lift (elevator) was out of action and the stairs compromised with scaffolding. Seems this may be a medium term issue. Just would have been good to have a heads up (of 5 flights of stairs)
• Marina (8/5): Very pleasant stay. Canmore is a great hub. - Apartment is perfect and just as described. No cleaning / maid service is provided with this rental. The only Elevator that serviced this unit was under repair, and condo was top floor. A hassle to haul luggage and groceries. Staff was very helpful, but still, no elevator made it a pain at the end of the day.

The pool and hot tub were a great addition (part of the resort, not in the condo). Would definitely stay here again! There could be some clearer instructions on how to get to the pool and hot tub area, plus some other guest had robes provided which would have been a nice touch! Also the fireplace in the living room is still very noisy!
• Tracy (6/5): I would not stay here again. - I liked the large windows and the view of the mountains, the place was clean, and the hosts were responsive. Unfortunately there were a few things I wasn't pleased with. I found the living room furniture uncomfortable. The coffee station had garbage in it from the last people who used the apt, and there were also food wrappers in another cupboard that hadn't made it to the garbage. There was only coffee for the first morning, not the second. I found the place cold, and when we turned up the fan on the living room fireplace it vibrated and was unpleasantly loud. There were no dimmer switches, or "mood" lighting anywhere...everything was harsh bright white. I would have liked a baking sheet to crisp up some leftovers in the oven, but there wasn't one. The pool area is very dark and dingy, and there was only one very very slow elevator. The ice machine on the refrigerator in the apt was disconnected, and an ice machine was inconveniently located on the ground floor, next to the very very slow elevator.

Our check in instructions were not clear. We didn't know what building to go to, our room number, or door code. We contacted our host and she resolved the issue very quickly.

Clean and well cared for accommodation with good location to variety of restaurants and downtown. - So many things to like about this property - easy check in, very clean, comfortable bed, great location as we walked up town and to restaurants, staff were a pleasure to deal with. Great place. Highly recommend. Would have appreciated a one page summary identifying location of pool and hot tub, as well as garbage and recycling. However I just messaged the managers and they responded within minutes.
• Cheryl (8/5): Very good - Location Communication with property managers is reasonably good. However, although message indicates that entry codes will be sent on arrival date, it should be stated codes are sent ONLY when unit is available for your entry. A 10 am checkout time is just not acceptable all hotels and I suspect private rentals in the area would be 11 am, with the later check in of 4 pm, this is rushed.
• Kelvin (8/5): Very good - Spacious, comfortable and full kitchen. Choked toilet basin. Requested for clearing but no one came.
• Brodie (7/5): Good - The Solara Resort building is wonderful, the condo itself was clean (except the shower nozzles), the bed was very comfortable. The views from the windows are incredible!! Nice & quiet while close enough to downtown! There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no extra bedding for the pull-out couch, and the toaster didn’t work. Also the patio door was out of order (looked like it needed a new handle). The dishwasher is also very dirty with leftover food stuck to the seal and inside, making you wonder if anything that comes out of it can be considered clean.
