• Kayla (10/5): ARDI ESCAPE - A beautiful home away from home. - If you were looking for something a little excluded and away from the hustle and bustle of the beach front resorts. This place was definitely worth it and we definitely enjoyed the more quiet approach of the island. The pool was amazing to have a quick dip and swim when it happened to get a little warmer. A beautiful deck facing towards the west to enjoy the evening sun that has a nice dining area outside with a BBQ aswell. Fans in every room including the deck. Arorangi is the perfect place to enjoy the sun setting. Matai the groundsman was really awesome and accomodating when we ran out of hot water, he managed to sort it out right away. I’m a sucker for a good information booklet on the accomodation and love to have a thorough read of it when i arrived and I was not disappointed. Not only were there recommendations of places to enjoy on the island, but it was very informative on the property and the cost of power, the type of system the house had and how to get rid of mosquitos which made me a little more concious when using power and things like that. I didn’t realise that power was 3 times more expensive on the island than in NZ. So I’m super glad to appreciate and understand how things are on the island. The outdoor shower is AMAAZING and the water pressure is top tier. A very modern touch to a very homely place. Not only this but we were super appreciative of Diane allowing a late check out as our flight was at night. Thank you so much! If I'm honest, I was pretty skeptical checking out this accomodation as there weren’t any reviews on booking.com but it ended up being something that I’m super grateful. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t enjoy at this Ardi escape. There were the occasional gecko/lizards here and there outside but we expected nothing less being closer in land and they were harmless. The mosquito’s can be quite relentless but with the information booklet. Diane and Aro informed us how we could get rid of them.
