Abby (6/5): Great location, needs a decent clean and garden - Great location to lake and walking track, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and nice and modern. Big enough for a fam of 4. The bits and bobs in the toy chest were a nice addition. The house desperately requires a proper clean, not just the common areas, the floor and bench top, but under the couches and cabinets, the window shutters, windows. They were filthy. Lots of spider webs, holes everywhere in the windscreens, and insects coming in. We had to wipe some of them down ourselves. There was dust everywhere, skirts, on top of ledges, cabinets, and bedside tables. The house had a terrible mouldy/old smell that even after 10 days with windows open we couldn't get rid of. The couch is soft and saggy. A washing basket and clothes airer would've been handy. Lots of nic nacks, and fake plants, that although nice to look at, were covered in dust. We had issues with power on arrival, the modem didn't work and also had a worrying visit from a couple of detectives from CPS one night looking for a previous tenant. On our second day, our water needed to be turned off for the neighbour to have their hot water system installed. There were tradesmen walking back and forth around the house for a few hours. The garden needs a decent tidy up, weeds pulled and shrubs cut back so you can use the gate entrance. Felt like no one had been on the premises for months and the wildlife had taken over inside It was a lot of money for 10 nights to have so many issues.
