• Alice (7/5): Appartement vieillot mais on s'y sent bien. - Le logement est facile à trouver et est très bien situé. Il est également très spacieux et on s'y sent à l'aise. On apprécie les 3 canapés pour se poser devant netflix après une longue journée de promenade. Proche d'un supermarché, d'une station de métro et d'une station de train, et de nombreux bus. à 5 min du marché de Camden. La petite cour privée à l'extérieur est agréable. Très bonne communication avec Ken. L'appartement est un peu délabré et mériterait un bon coup de neuf, chaises et table bancales, lampe de chevet et certaines lumières HS, portes (wc et une des chambres) qui ferment mal, mobilier de cuisine de travers. Un des lits est très bruyant. Quand on arrive, l'escalier en métal et l'entrée avec tous les fils qui pendent, ne présagent rien de bon mais malgré tout l'appartement est vraiment sympa.

• Nicole (10/5): - Great location and facilities. We were well accommodated by the host to arrange for an early drop off of luggages before check in, and for late check out. Just a few minutes away from the market and the tube station, with super easy access to central London and beyond.

Apartamento muy bien equipado. Pequeños detalles de falta de mantenimiento, que serían fáciles de solventar (lampara de techo descolgada, lámpara de mesilla rota, cocina muy deteriorada..) pero sobre todo el detalle de que la puerta que daba al patio de una de las habitaciones no cerraba, por lo que estuvo abierta durante toda nuestra estancia. Lo comunicamos nada más llegar al propietario, pero no hubo ni respuesta ni solución. Durante el día no estábamos en el apartamento, pero por las noches hacía frío en esa habitación y por consiguiente, la sensación de falta de seguridad.

• Laurent (5/5): Logement spacieux mais rudimentaire avec heureusement une situation idéale pour explorer la ville. - La situation géographique est idéale : en face d'une bouche de métro, à l'entrée de Camden Market, à 5 minutes d'une plus grande station de métro. L'appartement est aussi spacieux. A 4, nous y étions à l'aise, c'est assez exceptionnel pour Londres. L'appartement est en sous-sol et la terrasse arrière sale et en désordre. La propreté générale de l'appartement laisse à désirer : vaisselle sale dans le lave-vaisselle, tâches sur les murs, cheveux dans les lits. La vaisselle aussi a vécu : tout est dépareillé et en nombre insuffisant pour 4. Les robinets de l'évier de la cuisine sont cassés et difficiles à utiliser. Le tuyau du pommeau de douche est défectueux ; impossible de prendre une douche sans mettre de l'eau partout. Enfin, seulement une serviette de bain par personne pour 3 nuits, pas évident sachant qu'il n'y a rien pour les faire sécher proprement et que la ventilation de la salle de bain fait un bruit fou pour quasi pas d'effet.

Steep steps down to property. Located opposite an overland station and short walk to Central Camden. Lots of local shops nearby for groceries and is next to a pub. Quite a noisy area.

• Gry Overgaard (5/5): - Nice, clean, great location They forgot to leave a key for us, and our check in was delayed by around 4 hours due to this. The communication was unclear during this, as the host did not update me at the agreed upon times, and was hard to get in contact with. They delayed the check in time 1,5 hours further as well. it was quite stressful, since it was getting late, raining heavily and my grandmother and I had been travelling all day. Forgetting to leave a key happens to the best of us, but the situation could have been handled better. Financial compensation and clearer communication would have been nice

• Tracy (8/5): Surprisingly quiet and spacious for such a central location. - Close to everything you could possibly need. The main Metro is only a 5 minute walk and above ground train is right across the road. The Camden Market is only a 5 minute walk away and has a huge array of stalls and great fun atmosphere. There are so many shops, convenience stores, a huge variety of restaurants, eateries and pubs around and within a 2 - 3 minute walk. There is literally a pub right outside the door, however noise wasn't an issue, once in the apartment you wouldn't know how busy it was above you. You can't hear the trains or anything from the bedrooms at all so considering the convenient location it was very quiet inside. The apartment was nice and spacious too, which was great. We loved the Wifi and Netflix, tea, coffee and sugar provided. VERY reasonably priced. As this is a basement apartment the living & kitchen don't get much natural light, the bedrooms do. It has a decent sized courtyard out from the bedrooms however there's no outdoor furniture, which is a shame as we would have liked to sit out. It's hard to shower without soaking the floor - easy fix by adding a shower curtain. The master bed was a little soft/saggy for my liking.

• Thomas (7/5): Großes Appartement in zentraler Lage von Camden mit etwas Renovierungsbedarf - Gute Lage, nah an Bus, Underground und Camden Town/Market, guter Mailkontakt mit dem Gastgeber, schnelle Reaktionszeit. Unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe (Schlüsselbox mit Code); große Wohnung. Handtücher waren abgezählt (eins pro Person), bei mehrtägigem Aufenthalt zu wenig; Bad zeigt deutliche Schimmelspuren in Fugen und Ecken und wirkt unhygienisch; keine Ablagemöglichkeiten oder Handtuchhaken verfügbar. Wasserhähne ungeeignet; Duschhalterung gebrochen; einige Schranktüren defekt/hängen schief. Der "Garten" ist ein asphaltierter Innenhof, der länger nicht mehr gesäubert oder aufgeräumt wurde. Alte Farbeimer und Fahrräder stehen dort rum; Raussetzen will und kann man sich auch nicht (keine Sitzmöglichkeit). Preis-/Leistung für Londoner Verhältnisse wahrscheinlich okay; im Rest von Europa würde man für den Preis einen deutlich luxuriöseren Standard erhalten.

• Maria (8/5): Convenient, but needs some upgrades - Good location, close to Camden market, but in a quiet area. Spacious. Linen and towels, clean. Kitchen fully equipped for those who need it (not our case though). I guess the moist and the little insects come with the territory, the flat being located in the lower ground. Knowing this, obsesive cleaning should be a must, at least not to allow spider webs. London is obscenely expensive, not our host's fault, of course, but for such renting rates I was expecting a little more modern fitting inside. Pitty the enclosed terrace is not functional. Some outdoor furniture and minimal landscapeing would make a huge difference. Overall, a good choice if you only look for a place to drop at night after a full day of wandering in London.
• Jakub (7/5): Great location and value for money. - Despite being located in a busy area, you can't tell after you close the door. It is well equipped; we had more than we needed for our (short) stay. The portable ACs and a fan partially alleviated the humidity issues mentioned below. Location is difficult to beat, and all services are in a short walking distance from the place. The furniture could use a bit of refurbishment to suppress a few squeaks and ensure a smooth operation. Nothing that two hours and some screws wouldn't do. While there were no visible signs of mold, the air in the flat is humid, and would deserve a more sustainable treatment. Personally I'd appreciate a way to recycle trash, but that may be an issue related to the city rather the place itself. If there is a single easy improvement to point out, please replace the faucet(s) in the bathroom sink by something actually usable.

The property overall could use a bit of TLC, but nothing negatively affected our overall experience. The bathtub is slippery and raised above the ground, would be careful getting in and out.

• Jonathan (4/5): Disappointing. Too many things wrong to leave anything other than a poor review. - In terms of the positives. The flat is a very good space with excellent transport links and near to some good bakeries / coffee shops. The Wifi was good, TV entertainment was welcomed and living space was comfortable. James was very quick to respond to a question about the heating (the flat was very warm when we arrived) and we really appreciated that. Firstly, upon arrival, the patio doors in one of the bedrooms were wide open. Both sets of patio doors do not feel very secure which is not great when you are away from home and are out for most of the time. There is a definite smell of damp in the property and you can see the impact of this particularly in the decoration in the bedroom with 2 beds - paint was peeling off the wall. There was considerable damage to the wall above the radiator in this room, some of the ceiling lights and plug sockets didn't work. There was nowhere to hang clothes in this room and overall the decor in this room was very poor. In the other bedroom, there was a single duvet for a double bed. The air-vent in this room was taped up, which prevented necessary airflow, and it was located just above an outside drain which was blocked. There was exposed wiring from the ceiling lights, one of the bedside sockets did not work and one of the bedside cabinets was dusty when we arrived. Four clothes hangers is really insufficient, especially when there is no hanging space in the other room. The kitchen, while well-appointed, is showing signs of age. Cabinet doors were unsightly, some were hanging loosely while the one next to the oven was opened every time we opened the oven door. All of the cupboard doors in the kitchen need renewing. The door handle to the bathroom was not working properly which was an issue when using the toilet. There was a very unsightly stain at the bath next to the sink. The shelving behind the bath was also dusty when we arrived. There were insufficient towels - we had to purchase another one while we were there. Finally we were unable to locate a fire extinguisher / blanket or a first aid kit. There were no instructions for the appliances or central heating and there was no information pack for things in the local area. I did contact the host for comments prior to posting this review and they indicated that they will remedy the issues that I raised.

• Smith (9/5): Best location, so much space but so cosy! - We really enjoyed this apartment. The hosts had great communication. Gave us clear directions on where to find it and provided the access code when promised. Allowed us to store our luggage from 12noon as well. The location is fantastic. Buses so close. Camden Road overground across the road and Camden Town underground 10mins walk. Gorgeous cafe Elie's 10 metres away with great coffee and food and great pub Camden Arms right next door. Everything is at your fingertips. Eateries, supermarket, pharmacy. The area is exciting. Not far from West End theatres and an easy bus ride to all the usual attractions. I would definitely choose Camden again. The apartment is really comfortable and cleaned well. Rooms are massive. So much space to open and spread out your suitcases. Futon/sofa bed looks new and was comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of 6 to relax and enjoy. It's lower ground level so a staircase down to the door. We had big suitcases and managed fine. Still plenty of light from the windows/french doors. Didn't notice any excess noise from outside. 11am checkout which is pretty generous. Nothing worth mentioning

• Andrew (3/5): So disappointing and wouldn’t recommend - Very central, short walk to tube station and Camden lock area. Booked for 4 days to what seemed reasonable priced. Property advertised wifi . This was work then stopped On first evening. Contact agent to be told new router would be dropped off. I had to try and set up. Still couldn’t get any wifi in the flat , contacted agent who did apologise but daughter really appreciated the apology of no WiFi for the full duration of my stay and no mention of part refund after agent said he would speak to manager.Tv didnt work! Noisy neighbours upstairs flat , then a random mid week party finishing in the early hrs.

We were really pleasantly surprised by how quiet the flat was considering its on a main road - we weren't disturb at all by it. Strong, decent shower and well stocked kitchen. Good value and we'd definitely stay here again! It's a little shabby - you can't open the oven door without opening the drawer next to it for instance. But really not an issue in the grand scheme, and we had a good time. Only thing that wasn't really great was the Wifi.

• Amalia (7/5): Good location ok apartment - Nice location lot of things close to the apartment. Easy to take the bus or the tube downtown. Big apartment so enough space for everybody. Could use some deep cleaning. The shower is a little bit tricky to use without getting the whole bathroom wet. This is very basic apartment but good space and ok place to sleep.

• Andrew (8/5): Meet our expectation for the price we paid. - Location is great. The apartment is spacious for a family of five and has all the amenities needed for an extended stay. The inside was clean and sofas/furniture were comfortable. The internet connection was intermittent (not reliable). The apartment could use a little attention such as new light fixtures (not all of them worked and a couple were were loosely hanging from the all). The place could also use some touch up paint. The outside entry was dirty.

• Vadius45 (3/5): Leak, flat not well maintained : not worth the price - Easy communication with the host, and clear arrival instructions Flat is conveniently located 5 min away from a tube station or from bus stops, super easy to reach central London in 20-30 min Large living-room and well equipped kitchen, even if we didn't use it Place is quiet : rooms are on the back of the flat, opposite from the street Bathroom is outdated and it needs a revamp, specifically the silicone seals + very little space to store your toiletry bags or even hang all the towels. Apartment is on the lower ground : humidity marks here and there on the walls, and there's a dehumidifier running all the time. Overall, it does not seem that that apartment is kept to its best. Even the spotlights are full of dust, and one of them was hanging by the wires over my bed Last but not least : there's a leak in one of the bedrooms whenever it rains, and the floor gets soaked overnight. The response I got was : "This is a structural matter regarding the whole building rather than ours and although we brought our own builder to solve it it seems that his solution has not worked well. We will send our team tomorrow to check it again depending on your availability". To be fair, I rejected the offer because I didn't want to ruin my own family schedule on our last day in London. I just don't get that the apartment is still on the market with that kind of issue: that's beyond my understanding I traveled many times to London over the past 20 years and this apartment is my worst experience

• Paul (10/5): 2-night stay for a family of 5, with 3 children - 9, 8 & 6. - Location is great - stone's throw from the nearest tube station and, being a basement flat, is nice and quiet despite the busy road outside. Well appointed - lots of nice attention to details. Very smart, tidy and felt like a comfortable home very quickly. Shower is very powerful. Beds were comfy for all 5 of us. Best of all, the communication from the host was superb - despite it being a very last-minute booking (booked at 5pm, arrived 8pm), the host was very prompt with loads of timely helpful information and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. Nothing not to like.

There’s outdoor space which is private and allows airflow, shower pressure is good, fairly quiet considering it is on the main road. Right outside the overground with the tube walking distance. Sainsbury’s across the road & more chain shops/cafes a bit further down. Definitely would stay again! Host was lovely and super accommodating. It is a basement property so keep that in mind, not a huge negative for me however!

Staff messaged and gave clear instructions as well being quick to respond if a message was sent. Plenty of room in the flat as well as it being a well-equipped kitchen. We were able to relax after a long day sightseeing. Made all the better by the proximity to the underground station. My only area for improvement would be to have a hair drier - I forgot mine, and it would have been handy with three of us with long hair.
