• kathryn (6/5): Average - The host was pleasant to deal with and communicative. The location is very central. Lots of "tech gadgets" like dyson fan, robo vaccuum and electronic blinds. It's a little tricky to figure out the entrance to the parking garage and the signage in the garage is not good - an "elevator here" sign and "exit" signs would be helpful. Plus you have to go up to the suite to get the fob. Too bad there is not an opportunity for a lock box in the lobby. This was also problematic when leaving the apartment as you need the key fob to get out of the parkade, then you have to find parking to take the fob back up to the 17th floor. The apartment was clean but there is a stale smell of smoke and maybe dog. The small spare room bed and bedding was very smelly and the bed is VERY soft. There were no blankets on the beds, just a thin sheet and thin coverlet. We found a blanket in the cupboard but it had a very strong odour of dog. The furniture looks nice, but is actually quite uncomfortable and dining chairs are stained. There was a nespresso machine but no nespresso pods. There was a coffee machine and a large container of coffee but no cream/milk. All in all for over $300/night, I didn't feel this was great value. Excellent potential though!

• Andrea (8/5): Perfect base for all of things that we wanted to do in Vancouver. - Love the apartment. Easy walk to waterfront, downtown Vancouver and BC place. Close to Canada Line train stop. Very close to Granville Island boat transfer. Lovely kitchen with everything that we needed. Small balcony with beach and bay views. Very secure and very easy to check in. The second bedroom is smallish.

• Jacqueline (7/5): - You do have a view of the bay but in front of it there is the highway so it was not possible to hear the sound of waves. It actually got quite noisy when the traffic started. Windows have an electric blind system Decent size kitchen and bathroom and living room. Location was good, parking available. The beds were very narrow for 2 persons (140cm). One room is very small with only the bed really inside. There were a lot of personal things in the bathroom that we did not think belonged there. Same as the fridge...while they are left for guests to enjoy, there were a bit too many. There was no coffee when we arrived (host arranged for some after we commented). For the parking, we were not happy to have to go out of the parking, leave the car outside then go back into the building via the front door and codes and have to leave the fob in the apartment. There should be some kind of drop box

If you opened door the hose/board, fell down. Also this meant when in use the traffic noise was very noticeable and you couldn’t go on deck without removing hose/board attached

• Edmillet (7/5): Good - Location was great. Easy to walk to ferries for Granville, walk to Stanley Park along seawall. Great views. Secure building with secure underground parking. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. A few tweaks would make this a solid 9. The place was not clean. As a previous review commented, for the high cleaning fee, you expect, spotless. The bathroom was a bit cluttered with used soaps and bottles of shampoos and conditioners. One set of well maintained items is expected. The shower curtain had pink mildew on the lining. Needs to be replaced. The soap dispenser next to the sink was empty. Base boards had signs of dirt or mold. Found a dusty, dirty q-tip under a bed. Only 4 bath towels and 2 hand towels. Some face clothes would be nice and extra towels for pool, sauna, gym. We didn't use those facilities, so we got by. Would have been nice to have a bath mat. We had to use one of the 2 hand towels. It was a little weird that we had to empty the dishwasher. At first, we thought there were no glasses, and we found a dishwasher full of dishes. Fortunately, they were clean.

Not sure if it was the garburator or what. As well, the bed was well used, but that’s personal preference. Like I said - super picky, the place was great!

We had our young grandson with us and having a pool and hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day was a nice feature. We were a couple of minute walk to the Grandville Island ferry and there were several good restaurants nearby. Getting and leaving the fob for the underground parking was a little inconvenient but, at least it was no additional cost for parking at an oceanfront property in Vancouver.

Only portable AC that only covers the living room when it is 30 degrees outside. Had to leave in the middle of the reservation and pay for another accomodation. The owner refused to refund. We called and left a message, and the owner called back within a couple of minutes, very responsive. The beds were very, very hard. My husband and I had a hard time sleeping, but my daughters slept well. Honestly, it's a matter of preference. The pool was down for repairs, and it was one of the main reasons we chose this place. I wished we were notified of that, we were all excited to go swimming.

She stayed in touch with us during our stay and made she we had everything we needed and before our stay she was very helpful in advising us on questions we had, particularly helpful in checking out how we could make the logistics work of getting to Vancouver Island in time for a morning whale watching trip. The apartment is perfect - very clean, tidy, comfortable, well equipped with everything you need and more and in a great location on Beach Avenue. Near to Granville Island, the roads out to the west for the airport etc and still also close to walk up to the very centre of Vancouver. We loved the spectacular views from the apartment and the swimming pool and hot tub were an extra bonus too. A lovely way to relax after a long trans-Atlantic flight. Nothing - all perfect 👌

The apartment wasn't extremely clean. It's a small place so with the cleaning fee we pay, the apartment should be cleaned from top to bottom. They mentioned a 'recent' renovation, but there were a few things needing to be fixed ... the laundry door, the toilet with stains on the baseboards behind... We also paid for 5 guests and there were only 4 towels with no towels to use for the hot tub. There were no coffee filters for the coffee maker. These are little things that go a long way. Overall, it was a beautiful stay and excellent location!

• Barbara (8/5): Very good - entry, exit, lay out of building, how to get to the pool were all somewhat difficult--though it did all work out. the location is great. directions on how to use elevator need improvement. as i recall, one needs to insert the house key into the elevator panel to make the elevator move to the desired floor, particularly if it is the pool floor. no signage on what floor is for the pool. so, getting to the floor of the flat apparently worked because contact person/host was remotely authorizing access. could have used some on site material about the public transportation/bus/ferry systems. we figured everything out and had a great time in vancouver, so thanks.
