Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (4/5): Would not stay again, unless the above were rectified, and a lot cheaper in price. - The location. Off street parking. Oil leak puddle from range hood onto ceramic hob when we arrived. Range hood hangs down at corner. Could have caused a fire if we hadn’t spotted it and had used the hob. Skirting boards in all rooms very dusty. Sheets on bed although washed clean were stained. No blankets provided anywhere for extra warmth on beds. Shower door opens wrong way. Broken towel rail in bathroom. Toilet seat does not fit. Very little in way of provision provided. Minimum sugar, tea and coffee, no biscuits. Definitely NOT value for money paid. Very disappointed after our previous 3 nights staying near Launceston which we couldn’t fault, for a lot less money and a large basket of provisions including fruit, eggs, bread, butter, cookies, fresh ground coffee, and a litre of milk.
- Roydon (10/5): - The layout
- Sharon (10/5): Great place - Clean and nicely presented Nothing
- Julia (10/5): - Convenient location. Only 5 mins from the town centre. Beaches and walking tracks located close by, including coffee vans!!!! The accommodation was beautifully presented. Clean and airy. Beds were comfortable. Amenities modern and easy to use. Host was professional and good communication.
- Derryce (10/5): Was fantastic for a family well fa - No breakfast supplies
- Mary-Ellen (10/5): -
- Tanya (9/5): Would definitely recommend - Beautiful property with up to date appliances. Great off street parking. A little distance from town centre
- Cheryl (10/5): Great time was had - Everything
- Agnieszka (10/5): -
- Rhonda (8/5): Great space for a group of people to explore St Helens and surrounding areas. - Plenty of room and well equipped 😊
Loved that it was dog friendly! we would have liked to access the second bathroom but unfortunately didn’t have a key to it!
- Rebecca (9/5): - Beautifully kept and spacey. Blankets needed in bedrooms.
Only 2 toilet rolls provided for 2 nights and 5 adults.
- Yin (8/5): A pleasant stay at Mara House. - The property was well-maintained and cozy, with a great location that made exploring the area easy. It would be more convenient if facial tissues were provided.
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (8/5): Great value for money. Well worth considering - Large enough for a our group of 4 Second bathroom was not under main roof
- Brenda (5/5): Passable - THE HOUSE WAS ADVERTISED ON BOOKING .COM AS 4 BEDROOM In fact it was 3 bedroom with another bedroom in a shed attached to the back of the carport, entirely separate! It was also advertised as having 2 bathrooms.....the second bathroom, also at the rear of the carport, was locked and not available for us to use.
The kitchen was poorly supplied with utensils
- Helen (9/5): Large, comfortable and attractive bungalow - Lovely bright and spacious living area and loads of room outside with generous parking and 2 covered seating areas. Washing machine and clothes drier in the garden were a bonus and the property had everything we needed. The Bay of fires area was absolutely stunning. Quite far from shops and restaurants - we had a car so not really a problem for us but could be an issue if you didn’t.
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb - Lovely spot and indeed has room for everyone. The staff found a pocketknife left behind and delivered it home for us. Only issue was the bins hadn’t been emptied and were full when we got there - which was difficult for a group of 8 staying across the Christmas break and trying to cook a large Christmas lunch!
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blair (9/5): Lovely and comfortable stay very spacious accommodation. Would 100% stay again. - Property was really nice and clean. Very comfortable and spacious. Kitchen had essentials but could have been better equipped, ie things like salad bowls/ platters, more sharp knives, etc. Some more basic pantry stables would also have been a bonus.
- Brooks (10/5): Exceptional - The outside areas for relaxing.
The lounges, the bbq, washing facilities.
Staff were responsive to our enquiries. N/a
- Matthew (10/5): Very comfortable home away from home. Very clean and great location. - Felt like home away from home. Very clean and met all our needs for a holiday stay. The outer building would be better if the bathroom and toilet were joined to the rest of the unit, so we don’t need to go out in the cold to go to the bathroom at night; but that’s just a minor improvement that could be made.
- Greg (10/5): Relaxing - Great holiday memories start with your accommodation the accommodation was first rate with all the mod cons you would need for your stay. A great place to go to the bay of Fires wineries and other places like waterfalls the owners were easy to deal with all in all it was a great stay We didn't have any negatives about our accommodation
- Amy (8/5): Great spacious house. Clean, neat and comfortable accommodation. - Great spacious house. Clean, neat and comfortable accommodation. Nil
- Helen (10/5): We had a holiday which was both relaxing and had things to do close by. - For us we had time at the house and we also went into St. Helen’s. We also found some walks not too far away. It was down memory lane for me as I spent time up here at Priory when I was younger. We found it quite convenient for us.
