• James (1/5): - By far the worse "4 star" hotel i have ever stayed in. I only lasted one night and cancelled the other nights I had planned. I wouldn't of stayed one night if it wasn't for the fact it was gone midnight by the time I checked in. Very grubby. AC broken. Tiny room that smelt. Seriously uncomfortable bed. Shower falling apart.

• Erin (3/5): Not what the pictures look like - The air con was strong and there was a lovely lady on reception who helped us with advice about ho chi minh city. The room looks nothing like the pictures. Our bathroom was attached to the main area downstairs so we had to remember to lock it both from our room and from the inside of the bathroom. There was damp and holes in the wall with cobwebs and dirt everywhere.

• Bridget (10/5): Bright spacious room in a good location - This hotel is on a quiet side street close to restaurants and a nice park. Bright, pleasant room with balcony overlooking the street and city. Staff were great.

• Donald (6/5): Simple, clean accommodation and convenient. - Location convenient (for me) ; Room Clean, bed comfortable, shower hot. Met all basic requirements. Room Lighting was too bright, and no light switch beside bed / or reading light (Not everyone doomscrolls using the display light when they go to bed....some people read books.....) Simple fix. Room cleaning by request. (Hotel is serviced/staffed minimally...had to let myself out a few times involving open/close external roller shutter. No big deal but somehow felt a little odd.) Had requested by Zalo if an iron could be provided before arrival and was told could. The receptionist on duty when I arrived obviously not party to Zalo message responses (which were very prompt) Was surprised when I rocked up as wasn't aware I was arriving at 21.30 and once had explained about the iron agreed it would be delivered to room....and then hunger obviously took over as after waiting for a long time I decided to go out and grab some snacks, and there she was happily munching on noodles, having totally forgotten about the iron :) On departure from hotel at noon, left my suitcase in reception and advised receptionist that I would be back at 1pm to collect bag to get taxi to airport and was assured he would still be there... I was about 200m from hotel at about 12.45 when I saw the external shutter doors start rolling down and receptionist turn to get on his bike....so raced up....Had also forgotten and had to go for lunch....but would have sent me a Zalo...lucky I arrived when I did.

• Tudor (9/5): Good little place all in all - - Good location close to center, good and many cafes and restaurants very close (walking distance even) - we had room 601, which is on top of everything, no other rooms on the level => not hearing any neighbors or smelling their cigarette smoke etc., just perfect for us - our room even felt like it had a bit of it’s own big terrace, even though it was actually the utility terrace with the washing machines; still, nice to take in the view in the morning, or leave your door a bit open sometimes for some extra ventilation - staff very responsive and super nice, especially Hoa lol - we had cleaning almost daily (but we had to ask for it in WhatsApp, mostly) - they have a little parking underground if you have a scooter (I had one) - the A/C was not cleaned since long and I think it was the reason why we both got a pretty bad respiratory infection; they need to clean it(!) - rails on all windows (weird Asian thing I guess) - the hotel is not in a silent area, you can hear the traffic (I guess more down it’s worse); up there for us it was okay; close to a high traffic intersection

• Rolf (4/5): Poor poor poor - You book cheap you get cheap, and it was. Old striped down tiny room sold as ‘apartment’. Not a single kitchen utensil nor cutlery. Hairs on the floor, surfaces looked dirty and worn. All of that I almost expected for the price. But the fact that they closed the shutters on the entrance of the hotel was the pinnacle. On my return from my evening in town, I found that the shutters were down, with no instructions given on check-in how to gain access to the hotel. Ridiculous

• Bryanna (7/5): Good value place to stay if you are exploring the city - The receptionist was excellent, very engaging and genuine. We had a lovely room, and we were shown in case we wanted to upgrade. Some of the decor in the room was quite dated or in need of a little TLC (e.g., cabinet falling off a bit, questionable switches that did nothing).

• Tuyet (2/5): Overbooked hotel with a bad alternative one - I successfully booked the hotel on booking.com. When I arrived the reception tild me that the room was not availble for me as it was under construction (?!?!). Then he called the hotel owner, she said the hotel was overbooked and offered me another hotel. I was transfer to the so call "hotel" but it was actually not. No name. In a lane that car could not reach, I had to walk all the way from the main street. The room has no window even though I book for a Superior studio with a window. The room that I was transfered to has a terrible smell from the basin, which I had to close to lid to avoid the smell. When I was done with the shower, water kept leeking for the whole night until the time I left the room. However the hotel charge me this room more than the one I booked. I didnt have chance to see it though but at leadt it supposed to have a window. The pillows were to hard to sleep. The room has smell everywhere. Never book this hotel again. The hotel owner was sweet and give me a discount on the alternative room/hotel. However i want a good room not a discount.

Sorry I have no no photos to share with everyone, but you can - The property was very clean and organized including the rooms itself. The property was quiet, so you can get some rest. Easy access in and out of gate. The streets were easy for grab (Uber) delivery and pickup. I had a late check-in, a staff of Lotus messaged me once I landed to make sure someone was at the property once I got there. When the property is closed, you’ll have someone to support you remotely. Staffs are sweet, friendly, helpful, and very soft spoken. I have nothing bad to say about Lotus Hotel. 😁😁

• Carine (6/5): Not a great quality-price ratio. - Not clean. Hairs on the pillow when I arrive. Mold and weird stuff hanging on the wall and roof. Only view at the back of an add. A lot of the perks listed on the announcement are inexistent. The guy at the welcome desk doesn't really talk, only the bare minimum. Had to wait night-time for the other receptionist girl to get any informations on how things work and get the wifi password. After the thunderstorm last night, no more WiFi or lift to get my suitcases downstairs for checkout.

The room is clean and quiet. There was a misunderstanding at first. The hotel only makes up your room when you ask for it because they respect your privacy . On the first day I didn’t know that, but everything was okay after their explanation.

• Minh (1/5): Serviced apartment run by amateurs charging you for a hotel - The room was large enough with ample storage space. No hot water for most of my stay. I got 2 hot showers after lots of back and forth over the course of a week stay. It's a serviced apartment they call a hotel to charge you hotel prices. Service is poor and has a habit of blatant lying and apologising rather than fixing the underlying issues, then accusing clients of complaining when basic expectations like room cleaning and hot water are not provided, even after staff promises. Travellers should note that it's hotel rules that clients need to leave their keys at reception if they want their rooms cleaned, and you have to ask for it. Good luck if they are not at their desk or you forgot to leave your keys... no clean room for you. Then there is a massive roller gate that locks you out of the entire property sometime after 9pm. you have to constantly buzz or try to call or message people to be allowed in the building. If you intend on going out for dinner or anywhere late this is a pain. Also hot water is not available reliably so you need to choose between a cold shower or spending the day feeling dirty. I asked the staff and they said they would fix it. Nothing. Eventually they fixed it then it stopped working after one day. Giving this one star because the ratings are a total lie. This is not a hotel. Its an apartment run by people who have never stayed in a hotel before. No ambient lighting so resting in the evening is like lying down in a brightly lit convenience store. btw communication is confused. They have 2-3 people all operating the messaging channel so the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. E.g. I was sent a message about being able to find the location after I had already checked in. Thats just one example.

• Leetsui (7/5): Ok hotel for the price - Large room and nice staff and reasonable price The address on Google maps was totally wrong and very hard to find the location if you choose to navigate via maps be careful when getting there you don't get lost in an alley in a typhoon like I did! Room was large and spacious but pillows too huge and not comfy and a lot of street noise. But for the price is was ok
