• Pickwell (10/5): A fantastic family holiday that suited all our needs. We will be back for sure!! - This was a perfect holiday for our family of four. The apartment was spacious, clean and nicely styled. We loved that it had a fully functional kitchen and laundry to allow us to self service as well as the ability to partake in the resort offerings when we choose. The amazing pool - with direct access, buffet breakfast and happy hour at the pool bar right outside our room was highlight. Access to the room was very easy, our host was extremely responsive and on our last day we were kindly granted a late check out which really helped with our late flight out of Cairns.

It was clean, spacious, and beautifully presented. We had a lovely, relaxing time and couldn’t have asked for anything better!

• Jason (8/5): Nice, but some areas for improvement. - The resort itself is spectacular, with an amazing pool. The apartment was spacious and well presented. The apartment was nice, but the kitchen amenities were a little lacking meaning that even cooking some shake and make pancakes for breakfast was a bit of a challenge. Additionally, some of the cleaning/set up could have been a little more attentive - large hair ball left in the shower plug hole and no hand soap in the dispenser (we were able to refill ourselves). There were also no dishwasher tablets/powder. Just little things that, particularly for the price, you would think would be taken care of a bit better. Having 4 groups of friends (all with 2 adults and 2 kids) staying at the resort we got to compare thoroughly, and, unfortunately, our apartment fell a little short compared to others, with the other privately booked (rather than resort owned) apartment even supplying a nice welcome basket, including beer and snacks!

• Julie (10/5): We had an excellent stay! - We stayed for 5 nights and it was absolutely fabulous. The apartment was comfortable, and we loved that you could swim out from the apartment. The attention to detail by the owner was superb. We were given fresh bottles of milk, water and chocolates as well as other condiments that made our stay great. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The resort itself was awesome with a beautiful pool and you can walk along the beach. Check in was super easy and communication from the owner was excellent. Couldn’t fault our stay! There was nothing we didn’t like.

• Marcelina (8/5): Very enjoyable stay with an awesome pool - We really enjoyed our stay in Port Douglas — the facilities were great, and having pool access was a definite highlight. The beds were comfortable, and it was a lovely spot to enjoy with friends. the cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard we expected, especially considering the host didn’t allow early check-in due to their “high cleaning standards” and the apartment being booked the night before. There was a noticeable layer of dust on the ceiling fans, the air filters looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and the kitchen cupboards had smudges all over them. One of the bedroom doors also had signs of mould, suggesting that deep cleaning isn’t done regularly. Don’t get me wrong — we still had a great time overall, but it might be worth the host considering a more thorough or professional cleaning service moving forward.

The room was very well equipped with basic pantry staples to get you started. Felt like home away from home. Lack of privacy outside due to lots of people and kids swimming past making noise and throwing stones in pool. Also issues with other people using our Garage even when the door was down, which made it difficult to find a car spot which was close.

No control over parking - someone parked a trailer and left it so the car was parked elsewhere. The body corporate were then unhappy when we needed to park it poorly for loading. Dishwasher didn't work no matter what we tried. A lot of wear and tear on the fittings - place needs an update or remodel to keep up to date. .

• Marie (9/5): Great family escape - We loved the lagoon access and comfort if our room. The beds were super comfy and we had all amenities available to us. Being a young family, it was great to have a washing machine and kitchen. The spa was closed for most of our stay which was a little frustrating on the cooler days. The pool bar closed at 5.30pm each day. Would have been great to have a few drinks by the pool of a night.

• Kym (10/5): An Outstanding Well-Located Apartment in a Beautiful Resort! - This fabulous swim-up apartment is part of what we think is one of the best resorts in Port Douglas, to which we return each year. Communication with the host prior to, and on arrival, was prompt and easy. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented on arrival, and included quality linen and towels and ample kitchen equipment and bathroom supplies. It is certainly the best apartment we have stayed in at the Sea Temple. We loved the convenience of the swim-up position, and the apartment included outdoor areas in both the sun and the shade. An added bonus was a garage to keep the car in during our stay. We would highly recommend staying in this exceptional apartment! There was nothing we did not like!
• Glenn (9/5): We loved the location, we loved the poolside swim out and the proximity to the pool bar and dining. - There are good facilities inside the unit and outside. It has an amazing pool complex with options for kids and adults. It is very close to the beach, just a short stroll to the quiet end of 4 mile beach. Make sure to go at low tide for a look at the reef system, we saw some amazing sea life and corals. This is a family resort, great for families with kids which means it can get a bit noisy. If you are looking for an adults only experience, there are better options. If you want to go into town, it is a 5km walk along the beach (which we enjoyed), or pay for a cab/shuttle/rental car.
