Guest Reviews
- Richard (6/5): As above - Because it is called a bed and breakfast, we thought breakfast was included,I think that the name is rather misleading. Would have liked a bigger bed, with bedside tables.Property was clean, and very well appointed in the kitchen area.Nice shower and bathroom
- Christopher (3/5): Overpriced, poorly equipped - Cleanish, modern No wifi, no air con, no heating, lacking bedding, ants in bathroom, dungeon like, poor windows altogether dormitory and sparse and over priced
- Monica (8/5): Very good - The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable.
The quick check-in was great.
Close and handy to everything. Having to leave at 9:30am.
No air-conditioning in rooms.
General maintenance on pool not done.
- Maree (10/5): Relaxing, suited our needs, will be staying again - Location was perfect, cool and peaceful The floors could have done with a mopping, could feel it was dusty under feet
- Abhilash (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Beautiful home, surprisingly quiet considering it was share accommodation Despite no air-conditioning it wasn't hot
- Alan (7/5): Good - Location and peaceful. Loved the verandah and the whole setup once we knew how it operated. NO blanket and No doona in room and woke up cold 3am on second morning. NOT impressed at all. Only one spare pillow. No bedside reading lamps and no luggage bench. Checkout time earlier than most establishments and threatened penalty if you were past that time. B n B is a misnomer. If you want breakfast first morning you need to order it before you check in. I would have thought at a B n B that breakfast would be part of the deal. Did not encounter any staff let alone management in our two day stay so no human touch to the place and it all felt a little impersonal. In these respects it fell well short of a 4 - 4.5 star rating.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Marcella (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (8/5): Great house in a great place. - The location is excellent. It is a beautiful house that suits couples, families, or a few families. The cost of the wifi and breakfast. The fans in the bathrooms aren't very strong and cut out during use.
- Rene (7/5): Good -
- Delma (9/5): Great holiday house but not a B&B - This is a beautiful property. The 2 adjoining rooms suited our family. It has a comfy looking lounge and great deck space and big shared kitchen. This property is better suited to a group of people sharing the house rather than for separate groups. The term B & B is a misnomer as there are no staff at the property and no breakfast available.
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Close to town, quiet, large Cold, laundry could be card operated,
- Leann (6/5): Wonderful location and private. Desperately needs good clean - Breakfast N/a Location was great It needs maintenance, the polished floors were dirty,it looked like dirty water had been swished around on the mop. The pool was cloudy and dead animals in the pool cleaner basket. The rubbish bin in the kitchen had not been emptied from the previous tenant.
- Twinkle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jennifer (4/5): Please change your name. After 10 hours driving it would have been nice to have breakfast. - Location was quiet No Breakfast. No Air Con. Windows did not open and even if they did there were no screens.
- Jett (3/5): Noisey - Clean tidy Advertised as no children does not clarify that upstairs rooms may have children staying - was looking forward as solo traveller to a quiet peaceful overnight stay however families staying upstairs with children running and riding scooters on wooden veranda with screaming and squealing and tantrums - I understand families need to holiday somewhere but it needs to be clarified this is property that may have families with children staying and not list no children on down stairs room it’s confusing - down stairs studio is just ok over priced
- Chris (1/5): Don't bother - We were so disappointed we took one look at the unconditioned room it was a hot day and dead garden we decided to loose our money and went and booked a motel with air conditioning and a garden that wasn't dead. The photos did not match the location. We were ripped off. Nobody was on site to talk to.
Very disappointed ☹️ Everything
- Helen (2/5): Very poor -
- Gerald (9/5): I would stay there again immedearely - - The location it seems to be far from other civilization
- the comfort - no wifi included
- the mosquitos as the antispray is only working half. But that is no fault of the Summit, it is just my bad luck
- Jacqui (8/5): A hidden oasis in the middle of town - Really clean. Especially for a dusty location. It’s a hidden gem. Right in Atherton but hidden in the bush at the same time.
- Gerald (9/5): I did stay three nights instead of the first booked and planned single night -
- Annie (7/5): Good - The apartment had been tastefully built and overall it was very clean. When we arrived, the bins in the apartment hadn't been emptied and the oven was dirty. Provision of an oven tray would be the answer to food crumbs being left in the oven.
The ad said wifi available, however it was $20 for 2 days which seemed very extreme.
When advertising accommodation as a BnB, it means bed and breakfast. It is the first BnB that I have stayed at that breakfast is then charged on top of the rate. Also, there was no gas in the bbq.
- Stanley (7/5): Fairly good - Spacious and clean No breakfast while I paid for bed and breakfast. I couldn’t understand the misunderstanding!
- Crystal (2/5): Very poor -
- Malcolm (5/5): Passable -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Malcolm (5/5): Passable -
- Daryl (7/5): Lovely quiet location…spacious - It was a peaceful location in a lovely setting. The pole home is attractive with beautiful timber …it would benefit from some larger local art on those big walls. It would be a wonderful group and family venue. Beautiful wide veranda would be a stunning place to relax with a chilled glass of wine on a fine day. Very convenient to visit the many stunning national parks, the bat hospital, galleries and markets in the area It was a very chilly weekend and unfortunately the aircon/heating did not work in the main lounge… making it impossible to sit there in the evening. We moved back to our room but the “tiny” TV is impossible to watch from the bed… Unable to watch TV …there were no bedside lamps to read by….
Although every possible thoughtful facility was available in the shared kitchen and dining area… a couple of glasses and tea and coffee facilities in the rooms would have been much appreciated… I’m sure this would not have been so noticeable if the weather had been warmer but to have get up (with no bedside lamp) in the chilly night and then get dressed to get a glass of water from a shared area was a little inconvenient. Small things but they can make all the difference to comfort.
- Jason (8/5): Lovely place requiring Free WIFI - Undercover parking
Well equipped Kitchen
Big bathroom & good shower
Very comfortable recliner chairs
Comfortable bed Tv channels limited
Paid WIFI if you want decent connection
Poor connection for 4G
- Greg (7/5): Good - Blankets need to be washed - quite smelly
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (5/5): Passable -
- Gabi (8/5): Very good - The place was beautiful and really relaxing and comfortably! Great value for money. Only thing was check in was a bit confusing as we didn’t get a code! Apart from that everything was fantastic :)
- Kerrie-louise (7/5): Lovely looking house and we had a nice stay, nice pool. - Plenty of space and good amount of kitchenware and utensils. The place was nice and quiet and the beds were comfortable. The pool was enjoyed by all. Very nice house overall. Not enough towels for everyone to go in the pool and then have a dry towel for showering.
There were designated cupboards for each rooms food with a lock, but no keys.
No longer have mountain views, the lovely garden has grown too high to see any more.
Doesn’t have block out curtains despite saying so on the website, had Venetian blinds instead. Not much light around at night to bother you but too much sunlight for a sleep in.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Belinda (9/5): Superb - the space
- Baird (8/5): Very good - Location was great, bed comfortable, very clean The chairs in the lounge room were a bit uncomfortable but that's all
- Apocalypse (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): A relaxing place to stay in Atherton. - The Summit B&B is located in a very quiet part of Atherton within a beautifully maintained rainforest garden that is home to many birds and other native wildlife. It was pleasant having a coffee in the morning and observing them.
There's a well equipped kitchen and a BBQ. We had our grandchildren over for dinner and a swim. It was a great place for them to visit us while we were in town. The living room has very comfortable arm chairs for relaxing and watching a movie. It would be great if there were bedside lamps in the room. Other than that, I couldn't fault the place.
- Hana (5/5): Passable - The house is beautiful and well kept. Pool was little but kids loved it. No towels, hand towels or toiletries are provided. Was only informed of this by email after we had checked in. We had to buy towels. The view is mostly of water tanks beside the property. Kitchen needs a proper clean, cupboards are filthy. Blankets that were kept in cupboards for use on beds smelt disgusting. It’s hard to relax on the decks with all the cameras watching you.
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Janne (10/5): Exceptional - location, large rooms, everything you could want
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Good - Plants, has swan towel upon request for said swan towel Ac
- Karen (6/5): Pleasant - The house was roomy and comfortable, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Oven and fronts of kitchen cupboards were very grimey.Toilet in laundry covered in inground mould and no spare toilet paper supplied in any of the bathrooms. It isn't mentioned in advertising no towels or handtowels, toiletries supplied, only notified a week before arrival,I had to bring bath and swimming towels for 10 people!Outdoor tables and BBQ not clean. No free WiFi.At $500+ per night didn't find it good value for money!
- Emil (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good - Great quiet location.fantastic views. Very clean room. A bit of a struggle getting heavy cases up the stairs.Very small TV in such a big room.could do with a bench area to sit suit cases on.
- Gina (6/5): Overpriced, hidden extra costs and lots of rules! - Nicely presented property, comfortable beds and nice and clean. Very impersonal. Immediately upon booking got code to key, no staff present. It feels like a backpackers with lots of written rules everywhere. Surveillance cameras too. No bedside light. Noisy people below at 6am in the morning.
- Xavier (8/5): Very good - Location, close to area’s key highlights no contact with host; swimming pool and bbq area not cost/engaging
- Rolf (10/5): Exceptional - The cleanliness and the design, the helpfulness of Paula by message. The only suggestion I would have is bedside lamps.
- Michael (7/5): Good - What breakfast? I had to leave early. I had to carry my stuff upstairs!
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Room was so comfortable, great outdoor area, beautiful view from the veranda and it is a close distance to town. The place is always kept clean. Other guests that stays thier opening and slamming doors and making big racket in the kitchen area and talking loud in the house.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sallyann (9/5): Great place to stay in Atherton - Nice location. Very private. Close proximity to town and attractions in the area. Accommodation was spacious and well maintained. Would recommend. There was a small pool for the warmer months and a washing machine if required. Although called Bed and Breakfast no breakfast is provided unless you let them know the day before and they will place supplies in fridge at additional cost per person. Did not realize this when we booked. Luckily there was a supermarket nearby and we purchased supplies from there.
- Meghan (7/5): relaxing - location, beautiful surrounding, pool was nice very basic non-eco friendly dish soap/ bath gel etc
blankets were dusty
breakfast wasn’t included
- Sophie (9/5): Lovely spacious B&B in Atherton - Beautiful setting
Lovely veranda with views
Quiet and spacious
Warm shower
Cosy in chilly nights - plenty of blankets and heaters provided
Seamless check in and check out Lack of free wifi
Early check out
Breakfast not included for a B&B
Could benefit from mirrors in the bedrooms
- Kim (10/5): Awesome place - we really loved it! -
