• Alison (8/5): Lovely, comfortable property that’s close to everything - Beautiful, clean property and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need! Lovely pool right outside your door. Just a few steps from the ferry, supermarket and bus stop to get around the island. Very responsive and helpful owners. As others have said, it’s literally on the road so there’s noise all day and people are very close when they walk by if you’re on the balcony. A pity to have black-out blinds on the big window in the bedroom but a blind that didn’t fit the other window so you couldn’t avoid being woken at dawn (I work nights so that was a problem).

• Svetlana (10/5): Relaxed and Friendly - We loved everything about our stay! The place was super clean, cosy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely a 10/10 experience we didn’t want to leave!

• Robinson (8/5): Maggie is a great place and the is a good value and large option if you want or need to be very close to transport. Than - The apartment was spacious, bathroom large and clean, overall was comfortable and well appointed with a full kitchen and it felt secure. We knew before we booked, that the apartment faced the ferry terminal and public vehicle queue. The balcony use is therefore diminished in value. Be aware that this is something owners can’t change. The Peppers resort ( within which the private apartment is located ) has a large bistro type of restaurant, a bar, two good pools and excellent access to bus stop, the IGA, Seafood restaurant, the sailing marina / boats, and transport. After a few nights we got used to the modest traffic noise, actually enjoyed the ferry horns and after very long active days on Maggie, we had little interest in hanging around the apartment.

• Dolores (8/5): Central location - Location is great, close to shops, buses and ferry. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Blue on blue peppers resort is fabulous, clean and well maintained. As the Apartment was on the road side, the noise from buses, cars and trucks coming off the ferry is constant and also bins from the resort are wheeled out late at night and placed right outside bedroom window and collected very early in morning. We were aware of the fact that it was going to be noisy but not to that extent. Not really suitable for long stays or for people that spend alot of time in the room as the noise becomes annoying and there are no sleep ins. A few suggestions would be changing the window furnishings in bedroom. There are large gaps in between the blinds which allows the street lights to come through at night and the sun in the morning. Bedroom/Bedding as a whole could be improved e.g. pillows and mattress weren't the most comfortable...ok for short stays but not for longer stays (we stayed for 3 weeks). Carpet was stained and in need of a good clean or to be replaced.
• Andrea (9/5): Rejuvenating - We had breakfast at many places on the island, including Blue on Blue. I'll text Gary about the lighting issue but we both considered the property marvellous. It provided another perspective to us about staying in Nelly Bay versus the other island villages.
• Christopher (8/5): Modern clean apartment close to transport and shops. - The amenities are fabulous, the implements supplied covered every need. Very modern and impressive. Public transport and the ferry terminal were adjacent and the bus service is great. We stayed for a week and there was no room cleaning. Daily tasks like sweeping floors were managed ok but having the bedding changed at least once would have been good.

• Darlene (8/5): great property/apartment, not so good location. - The apartment was very good, spacious, clean and modern. close to IGA when you needed something. close to buses and ferry. Nelly Bay is excellent for ferry and bus usage but does not actually have a beach. (or pub). It is great to use as a base to go to the other villages. The apartment unfortunately was located on the ground floor next to the main road from the ferry and bus terminal, opposite IGA carpark. It was very noisy and busy to sit on the balcony or have outside doors open. This was made very clear in the property description prior to booking, so I am not saying that I was unaware of this, just didn't think it would be that noisy/busy.
