- Rob (10/5): - A wonderful getaway at Ballandean.. the accommodation was spacious, clean and super comfortable.. Great to be staying a
at the pub.. music throughout the day …food was superb .. matched with quality local wine.. sat around the outside fire after dinner..
- Aaron (8/5): Great room and great food. - Room was great. Well appointed and just what I needed. It was clean and apart from a couple of lightbulbs, everything worked as it should.
The food is great at the pub and ordering takeway to eat in the room is no big deal. It gets very busy at meal times so being able to get a takeaway is super handy. Really minor but there were a couple of lightbulbs in the bathroom that didn't work. Thie meant that the only light was a single heat lamp: nice and worm but hard to shave with when it's behind you.

- Ian (9/5): Adam is a great publican. - Great location for walking National Parks No problems at all.
- Andrew (9/5): - Perfect place for our overnight stay. Pub food was excellent and good value.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Would definitely stay again! Nothing of note.
- Matt (10/5): - The pub and accommodation were great the people and atmosphere was outstanding
- Cassie Donnelly (10/5): Great location and very clean room, would stay again. - The room was lovely and clean and was a great location for us to stay as it was close to where were going while in Ballandean. There was no information in the room about what to do when checking out and we were not advised when checking in to leave the key in the room on departure so we wasted about 15 minutes trying to find out what we needed to do, a simple sign in the room with the instructions on check would have been handy.

- Shee (10/5): Exceptional - We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Ballandean Pub and Motel, and we can confidently say it was one of the best experience we've ever had!
The check-in process was seamless. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and refreshing welcome drinks. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring.
The place was easy to explore including the owners winery where we had a great experience.
What truly stood out was the staff's exceptional service. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering helpful tips and always checking in to see if we needed anything.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with excellent service and amenities. I can't wait to return!

The food was delicious at the pub. Great little playground for our child to have a play before dinner.
Staff were very friendly.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (6/5): Simple and comfortable, no bells and whistles - Proximity to the National Parks. Food was great at the pub No booklet in the room explaining checkout and what’s around. Food took over an hour to arrive
- Deb (8/5): A gem in a budding wine region. Pub owner a big asset to the region - The apartments were large and clean Shared carpark with pub patrons. Our car got damaged.
- Miriama (8/5): Very good - Location
- Caroline (7/5): Great location for bike trail ride. - Room was large, clean and comfortable. The tv reception was terrible and unwatchable. Food was great and serving was generous.
- Simone (6/5): Very nice for a pub! - Old soap was left in the shower, so we weren’t sure if the bathroom had been cleaned.
Patrons from the pub banged on our windows / tried to open our door late at night.
There seemed to be a grey water or similar smell outside our room when we arrived.
Other than that it was a comfortable stay and tidy room! Great value for the price.

- Tracey (10/5): Well done guys excellent work getting the pub and motel back up and running in the past 12 months - Clean tidy and plenty of space in the family room
- Eleanor (8/5): Very good - Food at the pub was very good. I ate there with family on both evenings and all the dishes were very good. Service was excellent. Usually get a few coffee and sugar satchets on arrival, but there were only a couple of tea bags. Small thing I know, but it's a helpful touch. Also I couldn't use the little freezer in the fridge as a plastic bottle and a plastic container were frozen into it.
Staff are really nice and will certainly be back.
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): Great value meals and accomodation, we don’t hesitate to stay and eat there. - Ballandean Pub is centrally located in the Granite Belt. It is very handy when we come from Brisbane to visit family who live not far away. We always have a meal at the Pub, the food is excellent quality and generous portions. We appreciate the fact that the pub is under new ownership and they have done a great job renovating the pub and the accommodation. I think the accommodation and the meals are great value for money. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. There’s nothing don’t like about it.
- Irek (10/5): Loved our little stay at the Ballandean pub, we hope we can come back soon. - Modern, clean, easy, None

- Marion (7/5): Nice large room and comfortable beds. Doubted freshness of bedding. Disappointed with no hair dryer or offer of fresh to - Good location The crinkled bottom sheet on large bed looked suspicious. Not fresh looking. Although advertised no hair dryer was available. When requested, one was to be made available but never appeared.
- Christine (10/5): Hidden Gem - This is one of the best motels we have ever stayed in. The room was a very good size and the bathroom is massive. There was a toaster, kettle, plates, bowls, cutlery, everything you could need. Great location for visiting Girraween National Park. Had an awesome meal at the pub.
- Marije (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Almina (10/5): Very pleasant stay. - Staff were so nice. They were very friendly and helpful. We came a bit late on Friday evening but the owner made sure we could get some food and drinks at the pub despite the kitchen being closed. That alone was enough to set the atmosphere of our stay. The room was clean, hot water plentiful, bathroom nice and clean.
The food at the pub was very great, and very quick.
Already planning our next trip to the area and definitely staying at this place.
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariya (10/5): Great location in Ballandean. Motel was great and the pub food was fantastic! - Excellent location and our motel room was clean & had everything you need. The pub as well was fantastic - great food & excellent staff. Walking distance to Dear Vincent Wines which was a highlight! Highly recommended ❤️
- Jj2105 (8/5): Very good - This accommodation was beautiful, it was next to a great pub, great food and it had an awesome vibe about it. There weren't any ironing facilities at the hotel or in the rooms.. We asked and were informed that there were none and when you are wanting to go out for a nice dinner, wearing unironed clothes was not an option for me, so I was very disappointed..

- Gail (8/5): Very good - I could use the pub for an evening meal. That Booking.com had me booked twice and charged me two times. I was unable to speak with anyone to cancel the 2nd Booking.
- Gail (7/5): Good - Convenience to Girraween. There was no information about where to drop key off in the morning.
- Samantha (10/5): Generous sized room in a great location at the back of a pub with friendly, welcoming staff & the most delicious foo - Generous sized, comfy room with everything we needed. Good location to explore both Stanthorpe & Girraween NP. Pub had the best meal I’d eaten in ages Shower needed a good scrub
- Miriama (8/5): Very convenient for my needs - Good location for the activities we were undertaking. A lot more space than expected. Couldn't find a drop box for the keys when wanting to check out at 830.

- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Schardt (5/5): There was no hospitality book in the room, which meant no brochures for attractions and no... - Having the pub next door is a bonus for a cool drink and a meal. I didn't like standing in the shower with the water temperature cycling between freezing cold and hot continuously.
I didn't like coming back late when it was pitch black with no lights to avoid tripping over the garden boulders. The night it rained meant the lack of lights at the entrance to the property saw me a few inches from ending in a drainage ditch and it would have meant a rescue job.
- Julie-ann (9/5): A great place to stay & explore nearby attractions - Clean, comfortable rooms
