• Sarah (9/5): Great little compact accommodation! - Nice little self contained studio apartment at the back of residential property. Clean, quiet and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. In like new, beautifully decorated condition. Just a short drive to shops/restaurants. Blinds to windows let in quite a bit of light as soon as the sun rose, I would suggest some blackout curtains .

Details and information for the property were clear and easy to use/do. The nes was so comfortable, and the location was great as well. Very convenient and a smooth, enjoyable night away. 5 star.. Nothing. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer

Clean, tidy and had everything we needed for a night as we travelled through the area. We were sad to leave after just one night and would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend. Location is a little out of the way to be able to walk to places, however, everything is a quick car ride.

Super easy to access and tucked away for privacy. We were very comfortable and had great communication with the hosts. Loved it, can recommend!

Falsely advertised as an apartment when it was a bedroom in a boarding house. Poor communication and service by host. Poor lighting when arriving late at night. Noisy, unsafe feeling to area.

• Peter (5/5): Honest comments - Nothing It is overpriced as compared to other accommodations we have been to for much less than we paid in the Hideaway.. It is very small and cramped. As for watching TV, unless it is free to air it is almost impossible as the WIFI signal kept dropping out. Also the neighbor's dogs kept barking all night.

• Charlotte (8/5): Great stay in quiet location - Good value for money in a quiet setting. The room is very clean, bed is comfy and the room feels cosy. The hosts are also responsive and friendly. As per other reviews, the fridge is incredibly noisy and wakes you up throughout the night so could do with replacing. A few additional rugs in the main room and bathroom would also be great as it gets a bit cold, and the shower is also small but these are minor issues.

Quiet neighbourhood, amazing heating and comfy bed allowed for a wonderful nights sleep. Good communication from the hosts. Wish I could have stayed longer.

When we pulled up to the address, it wasn't initially clear where the accommodation was. We asked the children playing on the front lawn and they got their parents, who were our hosts. All good from there - they were delightful people.

• Graham (7/5): A lovely place but .... - The guest house is fabulous. The communication from the owners. Prior to arriving we got a message from the owners listing all the things we should and should not do. When we were there, the folder in the room again tells you all those things you should and should not do, plus a few more. There is even a checklist to work through before you leave, to make sure you have done everything you have been told to do. There is even a comment about leaving a 10 out of 10 review! It almost feels like you are imposing on them by being there and woebetide you if you do anything wrong. Remind me, who is the client here? All this just leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Other establishments manage perfectly well without all this. If there is such concern about the walls being marked that you need to tell guests to take care, why not add a few dollars to the rate and use that to touch up the walls, It all seems so unnecessary and just creates a bad feeling and atmosphere. On a point of detail, the fridge needs to be looked at because whenever the compressor cuts in is so loud it wakes you up. And more detail ...... one of the light strings in the "wee sitooterie" doesn't work and the ktichen sink area was visited by a good number of small ants.

We so wish we could have stayed for longer! - Such a delightful little oasis of comfort and quiet, nestled in a suburb of Warrnambool. Loved the tranquil decor, and the place was pristinely clean. Some lovely extra touches such as luxurious towels, luxury handwash and handcream coffee sachets, wine glasses etc. The private outdoor patio complete with fairy lights was a delight. There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

We couldn't use the courtyard because of the silly chairs. So low to the ground and impossible to get out of We thought we were getting a cottage but only got a room
