- Dominik (5/5): Half functional place - Great location, close-ish to the metro and major train station
Decent price, but after all the troubles and cons, I'd rather pay more and SKIP this place.
The WiFi was really fast and reliable (400/400ish). To start, the check-in process is HORRIBLE at best and has to be worked on. First of all, you have to figure out where you are even supposed to go. You cannot get pass multiple locked doors unless you ring/call staff. We tried ringing the staff bell multiple times, as other reviewer's tried with same result, no one answering. We got through because there was someone who happened to go by and open the doors for us. After a pretty exhausting 30-60 minutes of figuring things out we finally managed to get inside.
To get to the main, BIGGEST PROBLEM that has to be looked at: The AC is LEAKING water, unless you don't use it (impossible in summer), you will literally flood the place and I imagine you could possibly get charged for that. We had to put a bucket under the AC to run it. Huge bucket of around 10-20L, got full in 24-48h.
The room was... oddly small and compact. Which was of course expected and not a surprise. I am used to small hotel rooms and fine with them, but this one felt a bit different.
The whole complex and streets gave me major chinese "slums" vibe, but that's just their china town I suppose.
The noises from everywhere can be a major problem for people trying to sleep. At one time there were 3 drills, a garbage truck and someone banging on the radiator which was clearly heard all the way to the room. All happening at the same time. Opening a window is not the best idea if you want to sleep soundly. You only option then is to... use the leaking AC.
The bed is extremely squeaky and on the smaller side of size, and not that comfortable. Has a huge hole in middle of it, and the single pillow is only fine when you fold it. It's actually just a folding couch as you can see from pictures. The thing is, when someone turns, you get waken up because of that in the middle of the night. The thing is THAT loud.
The amenities were fine, but not enough. The showering gel/shampoo is a tiny bottle that lasts you 1 maybe 2 uses.
