- Seanne (7/5): We were happy with the location and the views but felt a bit more money needs to spent on beds, bed linen and towels for - The location and views were spectacular. The layout was fine and two bathrooms were handy. The unit was well equipped with essentials such as kitchen equipment (tea and coffee) and bathroom lotions, shampoo/conditioners and cleaning stuff. The beds were only double beds and very hard and uncomfortable. The lounge was only a two seater so hard for everyone to sit in lounge room comfortably when it is a two bedroom and if you have 3/4 people.
There wasn’t any towels, so we had to get in contact with the person managing the apartment. The towels arrived very promptly but were threadbare and very worn. Also small in size and we were only given one towel each for 3 nights.
The bed linen was not crisp white sheets that you expect from an apartment of this price ($290 per night) and again they didn’t feel fresh. There wasn’t any top sheet which we struggled with as we don’t like sleeping with just a doona.

The apartment is cosy, clean with comfortable bed and modern bathroom and appliances. Stunning city views. The property is on the 60th floor. Due to this when windy it is very loud at night and the lift was usually a bit of a wait.

- Martin (10/5): Great location, easy check-in, very responsive communications, well equipped apartment - The 60th floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was perfect for three adults on a short trip to Melbourne to attend some comedy festival events.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equiped (apart from the lack of plain knives) and the walk-in shower was perfect for my wife who has difficulty with mobility and could not have coped with the shower-over-bath that other properties offered.
Wifi Internet was excellent with a Speedtest result of 100/33.
The views are truly spectacular from that height although the building did sway slightly during strong winds on one night. The movement was not enough to feel but the blinds swayed slightly and the building creaked slightly like it was breathing.
The check in could not have been more straightforward with key and access tag picked up from the EzyMart downstairs.
There is a tram stop right outside the door on Collins Street and another a short walk away in Spencer street. Both stops are in the free tram zone. It's a short walk to Southern Cross station.
The management team were very responsive and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider this property again the next time we some to Melbourne Some of the initial interactions with the management team raised red flags that this might be a scam listing. It wasn't - the unit exists and is as described. I was surprised to be asked to supply a link to my Facebook page as well as a scan of my 'government ID' I.e drivers licence. I do understand that the property needs to protect itself against fraudulent bookings and renters who might abuse the property but this is the first time I've been asked for details with such potential for identity theft. I would have thought that being Genius status on Booking.com would have indicated a reliable renter.
The WhatsApp number used is for an overseas phone (Thailand I think) and they refused to provide any details about themselves to enable me to check their legitimacy citing 'privacy'.
Finally, a damage deposit hold of $400 (which was $300 in the booking.com listing) was processed using beds24.com, a provider external to booking.com and could only be made to a credit card.
For the unit itself, there were a few minor maintenance issues:
1. The door lock barrel was loose making it impossible to remove the Key without pushing the barrel back in;
2. One of the wooden chairs was cracked. This wasn't a problem for us since there were 3 other chairs;
3. There were no plain knives, only steak knives. Hard to spread butter on toast with a steak knife.
A grab rail in the shower would have been helpful for us but I appreciate that most people don't need them.
As others have mentioned, the lifts were an issue. During our stay, of the three lifts, the service lift was out of order the whole time and the left hand lift was intermittently not working. At peak times there was a queue for the one operating lift and slow journeys due to stopping at multiple floors.
The fire (evacuation) alarm went off twice on the first night at 12:30am and again at 1:00am.

Amazing view of the city and the river. Two sets of keys, secure building in a great location. It would have been great if there was a reception to store our luggage. An EzyMart one block away allowed luggage storage for a small fee.

It made what should have been a fabulous stay into a nightmare. - The view was outstanding After paying on the site with no cancellations allowed I was messaged by owners saying I also had to pay a $400 deposit. Had I known this I would never have booked as this took all my spending money I had available. Very sneaky way to do it! I was expecting a $100 deposit. The place was quite dusty everywhere. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut so kept opening. There was no sugar and only 3 teaspoons of coffee available.
Cleaners obviously don’t clean very well as there was a receipt on the bedroom floor from the previous guest and an empty box of Lego and Lego bits under the bed.
Bed linen was very crumpled and I wasn’t convinced it was clean sheets on there.
Parking good but small - had to climb out passenger door. Getting in and out of the parking area is next level difficult and instructions sent where not correct at all. Lucky for me a random person saw marrying to get back to my vehicle and read the instructions sent to me and told me they are very wrong. He the let me in so I could then get to the airport on time.

However, some extra attention to detail to cleaning could go a - The location was excellent, easy access to the CBD and public transit. The outlook was very nice, could see out to the south and west entirely. 2 keys were given on request. Property had good facilities. The place could have used more attention during cleaning, finding used glassware from previous guests and lots of dust in obvious spots was concerning. This is an especially important point as the reason given for lack of early check-in was cleaning. Also a damage deposit was required, this was not advertised in the listing.

The view is fabulous. The bed and mattress were good, but not very comfortable to sleep on. The bed sagged quite a bit and caused discomfort in the morning.

I wasnt allowed in room early as I was told a few days prior I could. Earliest I could get in was 2pm my flight arrived at 8am so wasn't to happy about that.

- Michelle (7/5): Great location clean and tidy. - Location is excellent, clear instructions for key pickup. Didn’t realise this was in the 41st floor so watch out if you are not a fan of heights. Apartment is very compact but very clean and tidy. There are only 2 lifts that service the property and with 65 floors they can be very slow. Very strong smell in the hallway as soon as you exit the lift but didn’t smell this in the apartment. Pillows are very uncomfortable and definitely need to offer a variety or purchase some better quality. The beds were very soft. Whilst the apartment was great we didn’t come away feeling well rested!!

No top sheets ..not everyone likes sleeping under a quilt! Limited crockery unmatched and very cheap quality. Would have been nice to be given more than 1 bath towel each.

The apartment is well equipped and quite comfortable and the host very helpful and communicative. That would have been perfect to have netflix and youtude on TV specially for young families.The lights in the bathrooms were a bit dark and the cupboard in the main bathroom had a funny smell.

Only 1 wine glass of any description and miss matched crockery but plenty of kitchen stuff. Water pressure in one shower was terrible
- Vanessa (6/5): Luxury cost but disappointingly fitted out, needs an update ASAP - The location was very handy and the views were fantastic For what I paid the beds, linen, towel and crockery in the kitchen were all pretty poor. Beds were dated and uncomfortable, linen old and poor quality, towels small, scratchy old and unmatching plates and crockery was odd and unmatching not in a chic way, there were no butter knives. Toiletries were only 5 random large bottles of body wash,no shampoo or conditioner. For what we paid this accommodation fit out was average at best. Elevators work randomly and are scary, sauna didn’t work for our whole stay.
- Iden (8/5): Nice stay - The view was amazing. I do really enjoyed the property and everything was excellent The property was really good in all aspects. The only reason I gave them 8 out of 10 due to unnecessary stress they made. At time of booking , free car parking was included, however just a few days before my arrival they send a message that states parking is not included where that was the main reason i made the booking for. Need to call booking.com to rectify the matter which was not a nice move from the property. I hope they can be more careful in these matters.

The only negative was that only one of the three lifts was in operation so wait times were far too long. But this was something outside of the control of the owners and was a building management issue.

No written instructions in apartment, no hospitality I.e. tea coffee milk .difficulty in locking and unlocking and opening door. Wood have been nice to know it was on 63rd floor of a building. Prepay and being asked fir$400paid security over the top. Refused to pay $400 .Have travelled extensively in recent years always booking via Booking.com. never had to pay a security bond (hold yes) but only ever $100 to $200. This apartment was not value for money . High points location and spectacular views.

Dirty baby nappy in the bin in bedroom, carpet was wet, plug didn’t work to use kettle or toaster. Very hot in the rooms with only AC in the lounge, so when bedroom doors closed there is no air.

Two out of the three lifts were out of service or being used for someone moving out of the building, so it took a long time to get in or out. The pool and spa had a lot of grime. The beds were uncomfortable and there was only one towel provided for 3 days - so this had to be used for the pool as well. No hand towels. Old tired apartment - holes in the blinds. Needs to be maintained.
