• Manon (9/5): Digne d’un 5 étoiles - L’accueil du personnel, l’emplacement, à proximité de plusieurs restaurants, épiceries, transport en commun. Nous avions la suite et tout était parfait… Nous avons séjourné 2 fois au Yorkshire, à notre arrivé en Angleterre et au départ de notre voyage (3 nuits à chaque fois). Le seul bémol est le bruit de la circulation… Pour ma part, cela n’a pas nuit à mon sommeil mais mon mari, qui a un sommeil plus léger, a moins bien dormi!

• Carla (3/5): exhausting ! - Very big well decorated room The traffice noise was unbearable all night - I barely slept ! Although all the big sash windows had been secondary glazed the traffic noise was insane. There was also an illuminated fire exit sign which made the room quite bright. If I'd had an eye mask and ear plugs I probably would have been fine but I didn't. The manager also seemed very concerned that I wouldn't pay and came and knocked on my door in the morning to ask about it... luckily I was awake, but I wasn't up so that was irritating. When I went to check out and pay he told me three people had rung him concerned about payment... it made me feel like a criminal !

• Barbara19. (10/5): Un séjour au top - Personnel très sympa et accueillant. La chambre était propre, confortable et avait tout le nécessaire. L'hôtel est très bien situé. Proche des bus et métro. Et autrement à 20min à pied du West end de la gare St Pancras. Un verre de bienvenue est offert, ce qui est très appréciable. Et il y a une réduction si vous mangez au pub. Pas de petit déjeuner au pub mais plein d'endroits sympas autour où le prendre. Et dans la chambre, il y a une cafetière, bouilloire, frigo et petits snacks qui permettent de le prendre là (il y a des supérettes pas loin) Le samedi, il y avait du bruit venant du pub mais perso, ça ne m'a pas dérangée. Si vous êtes gêné par le bruit de la rue, ils fournissent dans la chambre des boules quies, ce qui est top.

• Zoe (10/5): Overall, a lovely hotel that is kept clean and tidy and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. - The property is very central and only a five minute walk from Chancery Lane tube station. The room was spotless and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. I was able to get an early check in and received a complimentary drink upon arrival. Guests also receive 25% off on drinks and food when dining in the pub which was a surprised too. Overall, a very lovely stay and I highly recommend. Nothing! Everything was perfect.
• john (10/5): Enjoyable single night stay. Got the best nights sleep staying in central London for a long time compared to other locat - Immaculately clean, comfortable high ceiling rooms. Great location, comfy bed, full control over heating which worked. Staff in the pub showed me to my room were very polite and helpful. Drink on arrival and of course it’s above a pub serving nice food and drinks. Some people have referenced noise, but it is central London and I got a good nights sleep without using ear plugs. • Brian (10/5): - This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Yorkshire Grey. It is in an excellent location for accessing everything that London offers, and just a short walk (1.2 miles) to the theatres and the West End area. Very and helpful staff, super comfy bed, and all the facilities you need in the room. One observation is it would be great if the pub offered breakfast. Fresh coffee and pastries would be just fine.

As the pub is closed on the Sunday we didn't have the forethought to request milk the night before to use for our morning brew. A pint in the fridge would have been a touch.

• Hester (9/5): Yorkshire in Londen. Knus en gastvrij. - Dat ik bij aankomst meteen een glas wijn in mijn handen geduwd kreeg (van de zaak), terwijl ze alvast mijn koffer naar boven brachten. En uiteraard de ontzettende leuke schilderijen aan de muur van allerlei aangeklede dieren. Jammer dat er geen ontbijt is, maar om de hoek zit een prima tentje.

Lage super, direkte Anbindung an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz, belebte Umgebung, Supermarkt nebenan. Herzliches Personal, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

• Paola (10/5): A true British experience that can’t be missed. Try it! - Everything. The room (the guys gave me the suite) is super stylish, super comfy, super accessorized, super spacious. The location is good between Holborn and Chancery Lane tube stations. The staff is extremely kind, helpful and efficient. They also offer a welcoming drink in the pub downstairs. Having the pub gives you a chance to relax and eat&drink in the same place. Staying in a pub is the best way for enjoying a true British experience and Yorkshire Grey is absolutely one of the best. Nothing. I noticed someone complained about the noisy environment but I have to say that wasn’t my case at all and I stayed on a Friday night! So don’t be discouraged and try it!

I made my breakfast in the kitchenette and had a very comfortable night. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly which I really appreciated as a solo traveler. Would highly recommend. I ate dinner in the pub which is so convenient.

We had a weekend booked in London, with a booking of a double room for birthday celebrations , upon arrival we had the surprise of an upgrade to the Suite. From beginning to end the staff paid such attention to detail, the food was sensational. 5*

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was rather noisy at night. Plus the “aircon” is a fan on the ceiling and a small stand up fan. So was hot at night.

• Andrew (8/5): A Perfect Escape From the Chaos of London - This is a unique property in many respects. It comprised of only three units, one floor above a neighbourhood pub. The room is very spacious by London standards, and very nicely appointed. The only drawback is that the unit has no A/C, only a ceiling fan and an additional plug in tower fan. While London is not known for its extreme heat, I arrived in the midst of the second heatwave in two weeks, and the fans did little to help. As for everything else, this is a great property. There are several bus stops across the street and several more a few blocks away, as well as two underground stations 10-15 minutes away on foot. The neighbourhood felt very safe and clean and offered plenty of places to eat within a few minutes’ stroll. The downstairs pub has a decent beer selection, but they only serve what can best be described as “South Asian” style food. If you are looking for fish and chips or bangers and mash, you will have to go elsewhere. As for staff, the manager, Luigi, could teach a master class in hospitality management. He is warm and welcoming and will bend over backwards to help you in any way he can, whether it is app suggestions for your phone to help you navigate the city, or the best “authentic” Italian restaurants in the neighbourhood. Ruby, one of the servers, was delightful. Funny, charming, and happy to chat while you are at the bar or just passing through on the way to and from your room. A fine property and staff, to be sure.
• Catherine (9/5): Great location, lovely room. - Everything. Close to the Elizabeth Line for train to Heathrow and to Paddington. Area has lots of restaurants and bars, yet is not as noisy as the busier areas of London. The room was beautifully decorated, very high ceilings, and has a small fridge and safe. There is a really nice pub downstairs (thus the name!) and a wonderful Italian restaurant almost next door. No air conditioning. There was a good ceiling fan, but because the ceiling is so high, it didn’t cool the room sufficiently. It would be absolutely fine most of the time, but we stayed there during a heat wave. There are windows that open, but the light and street noise prohibit opening them at night.
• Karl (9/5): Exceptional customer service - The staff were exceptional -we received a very warm welcome and were very well looked after the entire time we were there. I honestly can't say enough here - it was the main reason I'd go back. The food was superb, and the room was great. Not massive, but certainly plenty big enough. No air con, but a remote control ceiling fan did a great job of keeping us cool. Absolutely nothing - would definitely stay here again.
