Guest Reviews
- Jessica (10/5): A home away from home - Excellent property in Atherton with modern amenities, huge garden for the kids to play in and a well stocked kitchen. They even had puzzles and board games, which helped during the rainy days. The host was lovely and very polite. Some minor things to note such as there is no aircon in this place and no dishwasher but these were not dealbreakers for us as the weather was cool at night.
- Carly (10/5): Great home away from home - Beautiful home away from home. Nice and clean and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Emma is a fantastic host and has gone above and beyond to provide local information, as well as being a great communicator.
Location is just out of town, nice quiet spot with wonderful views.
The beds were very comfortable, plenty of spare blankets for the slightly cooler mornings.

- Sue (10/5): Great base to explore Atherton and surrounds - Quiet , very comfortable - we were there for 3 nights and it felt like a home away from home . We were able to walk into town on the rail trail. Easy access with lockbox.
- Sylvester (10/5): Great location, lovely warm and welcoming. - Great location, very quiet, but still close to town. Near Hasties Swamp, great bird watching lagoon. Loved it all.

- Lee (10/5): It was a wonderful place to stay. We look forward to staying there again. - The house was located in a quiet rural setting. There was privacy and space for all members of the family. It was lovely to have 2 beautiful spacious bathrooms. The house had everything and more than was expected. Very well appointed kitchen, large fridge freezer, cooktop and oven as well as a microwave and laundry, with everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, furnishings were very comfortable and modern. Nothing to complain about at all. We felt very well catered for in all respects.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - Beautiful house in a beautiful location 😍
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional - Great quiet location! The house was clean and comfortable.
- Melissa (9/5): Very lovely stay, great location for a family with all the comforts of home well done. - Everything was neat and tidy and beautifully presented. Watering of plants and grass during dry season would be a lovely addition. Maybe a weather shield on veranda during wet weather so it can be retractable as you get wet sitting at the lovely big wooden table outside.
- Adrian (10/5): Definitely recommend, definitely use again. Our family of 4 loved it. - Good place, well setup house. Perfect.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Beautiful accommodation. Clean and beds comfy.
- Jess (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing - We loved the location and how it had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend Nothing
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): A wonderful house to stay in, very comfortable, great location, very quiet. - Beautiful presentation on arrival.
Lovely location, close to Atherton, with the feel of being in the country, with a herd of cows in the paddock not far away, to watch from the kitchen windrow and back verandah, and a short walk to be closer.
Very quiet.
Wonderful kitchen, very easy to use.
Huge verandah/carport - big outside table and chairs, space for the children to play and still room for one car to be undercover.
Comfortable beds. Big TV, games and a toy basket. Good washing machine and dryer, clothesline outside as well as a drying rack inside, even pegs!
Very comfortable home to stay in, and we'll be back if it's available at the time. We didn't like the showers, and getting water everywhere due to the open shower, but we realise that is a personal thing.
The addition of a dishwasher would make the place even better!
- Zabrina (10/5): Beautiful Place - The house was beautiful, tidy, and quiet. The view was lovely and the location was great - only 5 minutes to main town.
- Cobrien (10/5): Very peaceful n relaxing. It’s a lovely home away from home. - The location was quiet n peaceful. The master had an ensuite n large wardrobe. The 2nd room had a large bed n the 3rd room had 2 single beds. There was a 2nd bathroom. In the laundry is a washing machine, clothes dryer n wash tub. Outside is a clothes line. The view had paddocks with cows. The kitchen has a stove n oven. There is an outdoor setting n bbq. Great water pressure in shower. There was no recycling bin. Didn’t book for long enough.
- Ross (9/5): Superb -
- Terina (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed a 4 day hiking trip. The Olive Adobe was a marvellous comfortable home to start and return from. Everything spotlessly clean, we popped into town each night for dinner which was a very short drive. Hasties Swamp around the corner to watch the birds. The cows living in the next paddock greated us every morning with the big open sky from the living space. Maybe a few more mugs in the kitchen.
- Katrina (9/5): Peaceful cozy home - Close to everything but also in a lovely peaceful location
- Narelle (9/5): Emma was great to have contact with, prompt with replies. We would definitely stay there again!! - The location was perfect for us as the guys are keen bird watchers. Shortish walk to Hasties Swamp. Local to all that Atherton has to offer & easy access to areas across the tablelands. Lovely & quiet & the house worked really well for the 4 of us. The only thing I’d note is possibly having a single lounge chair or 2 two seaters. Lounge was comfortable for 2 of us but not the best set up for 4 adults. Saying that, we didn’t spend a huge amount of time in the house as we were sightseeing. Mostly an evening thing.
- Joanne (8/5): Very lovely home, with birds to watch -
