Guest Reviews
- Pinghua (10/5): -
- Doug (10/5): Beautiful place on a beautiful island. Would recommend to others. - View. Had everything we needed. Can’t think of anything to add. Lots of little details were thought through. For example, the sheets were clean and pressed. Small irritation: the electronic gate took one to 4 tries before it opened. Very curious why you need a pin to get out but simply push the button to get in.
- Catherine (9/5): Absolutely amazing place to stay. Highly recommend. - Location stunning. Cottage had everything we needed and was neat and tidy. Lovely quiet area. Beautiful morning beach walks and swims right at our back door.
- Sue (8/5): We loved it. - Fabulous views and access to the beach.
- Jennifer (10/5): Everything you need for a comfortable stay! - tu Emuz had everything you could need, was very clean and comfortable and was set just outside the quiet beachside town of Emu Bay. The view is spectacular! Hosts Wilma and Eric were wonderful - available if needed, but otherwise you didn't notice you were staying on their property. Their suggestion for a walk - Ravine des Casoars - was well worth doing! Eric's kindness in taking us to see penguins coming up the beach for the evening, and dropping off freshly picked berries was so greatly appreciated. A welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was also enjoyed. Thank you Wilma and Eric!
- Caroline (5/5): - Very bad internet connection.
Too far from town with facilities.
Second bathroom was out side and through a laundry.
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Fleur (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was wonderful to see the wildlife and enjoy the remoteness your property offered. Tha - Gorgeous location. Lovely outdoor entertaining space. Comfy beds. Perhaps a Starlink could be considered for internet connection? The main shower can flood quickly - drain may be slightly blocked. Just to let you know - the hairdryer needs replacing as its thermostat is broken.
- Sandra (10/5): - Beautiful grounds and view. Cozy home with wood stove. Attentive hosts. Ability to see and hear animals in the wild. Close to a little town. Well equipped with everything we needed.
- Caroline (9/5): Loved the view. - Electric gate didnt work. Not many matches. No instructions for microwave/oven.
- Michael (8/5): Wow, is this place ever nice. The secluded location was peaceful and comfortable. - Unfortunately wifi stopped working during our stay over the Easter weekend. As there was no phone coverage, we had a couple of days of digital detoxing.
- Veronica (9/5): Tu Emuz was a great base for our time on Kangaroo Island - The property is in a wonderful location overlooking Emu Bay and with direct access to a small beach. The accommodation is attached to the main house but both retain their privacy. The hosts were onsite and very welcoming but also unobtrusive. The cottage was very cosy - it was very comfortable as it cooled down overnight. We really appreciated the bottle of wine left in the fridge and the delicious tomatoes and apples Wilma gave us from the garden. Nothing
- Trish (10/5): Just brilliant! - The location was amazing and our hosts welcomed us with local produce and were very generous with their time and information!
Loved the penguin nesting at our back door and the happy echidna who wandered around! Nothing!
- Sarah (10/5): Glorious - Loved everything! The view, the hosts, the accomodation. All splendid.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Wilma and Eric were so kind and welcoming! They shared some freshly caught fish and veggies from the garden with us on our first night and leant us their SUP boards to use during our stay. The view was amazing and the area was so peaceful. Their backyard is home to an echidna, a koala, and penguin nests! Would definitely stay there again!
- Thanh (10/5): Wonderful place, wish we could stay longer - Location was quiet. We enjoyed the private beach and the wildlife. They had penguin nests in the backyard, and we saw wild kangaroos come through the backyard as well. It was a fantastic place to stay at, and we wished we had more time on Kangaroo Island to see everything. The stay was fantastic. Only feedback we have is more about Kangaroo Island having limited dining choices on the western and southern parts of the island, but that is not related to the beachfront villa.
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Shi (9/5): Nice view and hosts. Unit for rent is attached to the main house. Our Christmas roast all went wasted in the bin, as o -
- Janice (9/5): Truly memorable!! - Cozy villa with all the necessary amenities, stunning view with a private beach and excellent hosts. Eric personally drove us to Emu Jetty at night to see the penguins return from the sea to their burrows. We truly enjoyed spotting kangaroos, koala, and various species of birds that came by the front lawn. None
- Debbie (8/5): Perfect for the 2 nights we had booked to visit that area of kangaroo island , even saw a little penguin - We picked it because if it’s location
Everything we needed was there including wine in the fridge N/a
- Keith (9/5): We loved it. - Location and very comfortable. Shower could have been a little better. Intermittent hot water with low pressures.
- Gail (10/5): Very enjoyable - Quiet, relaxing with beautiful views
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jen (10/5): For tu Emuz for the - The property location was spectacular with penguins nesting in the garden and rolling gardens to the sea. The accommodation was set up for an extremely comfortable stay. Eric and Wilma were generous hosts and us feel welcome.

- Carolyn (8/5): Very good -

- Cath (9/5): Superb - Very serene and peaceful, great view. Eric and Wilma were very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed the fresh garden produce and local wildlife. Easy commute to all sightseeing locations on island. No a thing.
- Leann (10/5): Totally unexpectedly fabulous.. great location views and serenity - Cooked own but good kitchen facilities Needs a large sharp knife for cutting vegetables
- Murray (7/5): Really enjoyed our stay here. Location great for an out of the way stay. - Fantastic location with views out to sea and local wildlife around. A little disappointed with cleanliness of floor and general maintenance/presentation in some areas.
- Matt (10/5): What a place - practically had the beach to ourselves! Great fishing! And hosts Wilma and Eric were brilliant. - Location was absolutely superb
Accomodation was clean and comfortable

- Robert (8/5): Nice location and nice hosts -
- Cathy (7/5): Great location and was convenient for us to do all the things we wanted. Emu Bay beach is beautiful - Fantastic location and views, private. Kitchen provisions could have been better.
- Neil (6/5): Was a pleasent stay in a quiet location. A unit on the side of another house no one was there though - Location Was Good In a very quiet location I think it could use a good tidy up in areas , Windows , BBQ ( I wouldn't use it ) , Outdoor Area , Pans we had to give a really good scrub before we could use them .
- Matt (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wendy (9/5): Beautiful Emu Bay cottage - Beautiful scenery from cottage. Fire was a lovely night routine. Cosy furnishings. Comfortable beds. Laundry handy.
Coffee machine popular. Best location. Perfect for 4. Having to walk outside living area to get to second bathroom, through the laundry. No bathmat there. Some slaters and millipedes in there.
The manual inside was out of date information.
- Bing (9/5): Superb -
- Thirsty (8/5): Immersion in nature! - Location with beachfront access, views, comfortable bed & couch, fully operational kitchen.
The thoughtfully planted garden attracts lots of birds & wildlife🙏 For a week's stay for 2 people, more provisions such as towels, cleaning cloths, loo paper would have been better as well as a teapot for non-coffee drinkers.
The "Guest Information" folder needs an update.
Also - the owner's personal clothing in open wardrobes is off-putting.
- Janelle (8/5): Fantastic position to experience KI - Tu Amuz is in a wonderful location - great elevated view and a short walk down the backyard of the property to the beach below. Great spot for photography!
- Greg (10/5): A great location to explore the island, very quiet, well appointed and will definitely like to stay again. - The location was beautiful and the penguins were a highlight

- Sarah (10/5): A great place to relax and see lots of wildlife - Loved our stay here! The hosts were amazing! 1000/1000! Can’t wait to stay here again in the future. The extra penguin tour was a great addition to our stay
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Christine (10/5): Quiet, comfortable and perfect for enjoying natures wonders at your doorstep - location suitable for being away from major centre, quiet, peaceful and yet convenient for visiting various locations around the island.
