Guest Reviews
- Kyle (10/5): Amazing little spot in a quiet little town close to beach and river. - The property was lovely, huge, clean, beds were super comfy. Very well equipped with everything you need for a trip away. There was even a sauna and an ice bath which we didn’t get to use but awesome little touches! Nothing. Didn’t want to leave!
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Great house, plenty of room
- Marc (8/5): - Location to the beach. Probably the lack of shops and amenities in the town. Even neighbouring town had businesses open from Wednesday only to Sunday.
Confusing situation with dog friendly areas nearby.
- Clare (10/5): Beautifully relaxed atmosphere with everything we could’ve asked for - We loved everything about our stay at The Pines. It has such a beautiful atmosphere and included everything we could have needed. It was very clean and comfortable. It is decorated beautifully and has great facilities. A really cool space to relax and enjoy both the beach and river nearby. We’d love to stay again! We honestly have no negative feedback for The Pines. It was really wonderful.
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional!! - We had a very comfortable stay at The Pines. Absolutely stunning home and location.
We relaxed at the house explored the beautiful surroundings, had breakfast each morning at the local cafe. Quiet and relaxing. We will be back with friends and kiddies in tow.
I cannot fault this stay at all. The pictures do not do this home justice and the owners could not have been more helpful.
5 star home and location.
- Jodi (10/5): Perfect relaxing holiday - We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located between the river and ocean. It was peaceful yet close to everything we needed. A truly relaxing getaway—we’d love to come back!
- Melanie (10/5): Very helpful & kind hosts. Would highly recommend the Pines Beach House. - Beautiful character filled home. Plenty of space, exceptionally clean & comfortable.
- Teshia (8/5): -
- Donna (8/5): Very good - No electricity in one bedroon
- Tammy (3/5): Suburb fit for the elderly that’s about it. - The host had to many rules for the property which are rather unusual considering it’s a holiday home. And these rules came in message after message. Perhaps the host should consider opening the property as a museum rather than a holiday house, due to its apparent heritage.
We felt like children on a school camp. Don’t do this and don’t do that. No shoes inside, quick showers, no noise after 9:30pm due to the suburb being for the elderly only. Green waste in this bin only!
There’s a fire pit that you can’t use as there is no fire wood, or seating near the fire pit. And the fire pit was full of garden waste.
The cutlery draw was extremely dirty, with other guests crumbs and hair, which put us off using any of it.
There is a clear ant problem in the kitchen which isn’t mentioned.
Front yard is overgrown and very unsightly, nothing like the pictures provided. Only half of the house had electricity. Light switch in the kitchen was taped over with sticky tape which meant we had no light in the kitchen to prepare food. We have stayed in many holiday homes on our travels and this has been the worst stay we have ever experienced. And definitely not value for money! Family related to the host live just a few steps away so you kind of feel like you don’t have privacy for your stay. The toilet seat was broken and almost falls off when you use the toilet.
The backyard is very overgrown and very untidy. The bed sheets in the master bedroom had wear hole’s clearly visible.
There’s no kitchen garbage bin for household rubbish. So you have to carry everything outside to the bin and sort out your rubbish into the appropriate bins. Definitely not an enjoyable place to holiday comfortably. Our stay at the pines was very disappointing for the high cost of the accommodation. We did not cook here as upon arrival we were told that the property manager wasn’t sure if the oven had been cleaned after the previous guests. Not what you want to hear when you’re checking into a property.
- Rachel (10/5): What a beautiful, clean and well presented airbnb with everything you need for a perfect weekend -
- Kylie (10/5): We had 2 nights catching up with family - this was the perfect place to chill and enjoy each other’s company. It had eve - the house is gorgeous- beautifully decorated, lovely and airy Everything was great
- Bao (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (9/5): Superb -
- Joel (8/5): it is a really good stay for big extended families looking for a fishing bushwalking getaway - Really nice house, and location for fishing with the kids, quiet enough to be a holiday but close to beach and rainforest bellingen markets and pet friendly the downstairs set up is like a low head room kids dormatory setup but it was a bit cold and kids were to cold to sleep down there so I ended up sleeping there myself , but the beds were comfy. Flat batteries in remotes
- Mary (8/5): Fabulous house in a town that offers wonderful biking opportunities and beach and creek opportunities - Location
The pot plants
The large kitchen table The kitchen lighting was particularly dim
And the gas cook top had no ability to ignite the gas
- Jani (10/5): Short and sweet stay and would do it again. - Fantastic location, exceptional presentation of the house.
Everyone enjoyed the stay. The only thing that we didn't like is that we couldn't stay for longer.
- Lino (9/5): Unexpected Delight - The generous space and authentic heritage detailing, with just the right balance of contemporary design inclusions. Supplied Wi-Fi password didn’t work (minor inconvenience).
- Joshua (10/5): Just Wow. we stopped off here to break up our road trip and was incredibly impressed with the property and communication - Fantastic location and impeccably presented. incredibly clean and well provisioned. N/A
- Natalee (10/5): Exceptional - Plenty of room, great facilities, wonderful location, comfortable beds, and beautiful styling. That we only got to spend one night.
- Doug (8/5): Very good -
