• Lynda (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed this charming apartment. - The apartment had a well equipped kitchen. the binder with instructions for everything like the washing machine, sites and services in the area, emergency numbers...was wonderful. I highly recommend that all rental places offer a binder of information like this. The location was absolutely great, in Castello, close enough to touristy sites but out of the way enough to be quiet. The space is a bit quirky, but that just adds to the charm. I would definitely book this spot again. The photos I have included are not the typical tourist sites, they are in the Castello area, and more what makes the area such a great area of Venice to stay in. The apartment photos are also what made it so charming, the bridge to the front door and the boat door that because the tide was high most days, allowed water up the stairs. All so charming. As I was traveling with a friend not a partner, we needed to make use of the sofa bed but there was no bedding on site for that bed. We needed to share the bedding from the main bed the first night as some bedding was being delivered the next day. Unfortunately only sheets were delivered, no blanket or pillows. We never did get any more bedding. We did get a financial discount as a result of this situation. If I were to book this spot in future, I would make sure the host knows that we require a full set of bedding for the second bed.
• Sarah (9/5): Staying at Charm apartment certainly added to the enjoyment of our stay. - Sara's communications before we arrived were really welcoming and helpful, making the labyrinth of Venice possible to negotiate. The position in the Arsenale was ideal for us - quieter than around San Marco but close enough for easy access to all the 'sights'. The midges! (not in the apartment because of the fly-screens)
• Meng (9/5): Cozy well equipped apartment near to St. Mark’s Square and Arsenale Vaporetto stop - 2 min to the Arsenale Vaporetto stop which was very convenient for coming in from the Venezia S. Lucia train station as well as travelling around Venice including trips to Burano and Murano. Arsenale was an interesting area with lots of eating places and lively with the ongoing Bienialle (started end April) and collateral events happening. Cozy studio apartment with full kitchen including dishwasher which was great for cooking when you don’t feel like eating out. Nearby supermarket and fruit and vegetable grocer where you can stock up the fridge. Washer with dryer function came in handy for a longer stay. Walking distance to St. Mark’s Square, Basilica and Doges Palace. Sarah the hostess was very kind, coming back promptly to let us in, when we accidentally locked ourselves out when we left without taking the keys. The “bedroom” was tight with little space to walk around on the far side. Address provided by Booking.com was inaccurate so we were unable to locate the accommodation. Thankfully Sarah came to get us when we called otherwise we wouldn’t have found it.
