- Niki (6/5): Great location , access to the backyard needs to be fixed rocks are slippery and path is very overgrown - Great Location Musty smell
- Krystal (10/5): -
- Christina (7/5): We were in Maleny for a family wedding and spent a comfortable 3 nights at the property. - Very spacious home Nothing
- Jessica (1/5): -
- Frankie (6/5): Ok but diaaappointing - We found the property in a good convenient location . We however we disappointed in the presentation and cleanliness of some parts of the house . The downstairs is very smelly and damp . We understand that tai fall is heavy in Maleny but downstairs has limited ventilation to dry out the carpet .. it was damp and smells so making it unpleasant to sleep in . The upstairs couch was ..in a word ..
Gross . The stains were very unpleasant so we had to cover it to sit comfortably . The rugs were also heavily stained . Photos included . It’s not difficult to rectify so therefore inexcusable . Dishes left in dishwasher from last guests also
- Paul (10/5): Perfectly located, delightfully tranquil listing, with heaps of space and all the bells and whistles - Great location. Very spacious house with exotic, natural feel. Only a few minor things:
* pillows were a bit thick
* instructions on how to use upstairs bedroom fans/lights would have been good
* being able to open a couple more of the rear sliding doors would have been good
- Anna (10/5): Very comfortable, ideally situated, and would highly recommend and would return ourselves. - Adult family staying for a wedding.
We had a great stay. Well equiped with plenty of room for 3 couples, and a lovely breezy deck. Just a short walk from the high street, so we were able to stroll into town for lunch or dinner. Espresso coffee machine was the cherry on top Couple of grumbles. As mentioned elsewhere, the bathroom floors were lethal when wet. No shower screens meant the water went everywhere.
The table and dining chairs on the deck were very spindly and uncomfortable to sit on
- Karen (10/5): perfect facilities and location for a retreat week in a delightful hinterland town. - keycode worked perfectly
- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful home, fantastic location to the main strip and extremely clean. 10/10 - Beautiful home, fantastic location to the main strip and extremely clean. 10/10
- Ellis (10/5): We loved the house and the gardens - Beautiful house with everything we needed I don’t think the dishwasher would work as the lower spray was hitting the cutlery basket
- Julie (9/5): Great location, all you need for a comfortable stay . - Location is great, just at the end of the Maleny Main Street! The coffee machine with beans provided was a nice surprise & the outlook into the back yard garden was very pretty. Nothing not to ‘like’. However, the property is a little tired and if there were 6 ppl staying and only 2 bathrooms this may not be suitable for some. All in all though I would recommend & stay again !
- Janette (10/5): -
- Carol (9/5): great girls weekend away. - Close to town. Only problem was the over was on AUTO and had lots of trouble getting it off. After a hour of googling we finally got it off and then able to use the oven. No baking dishes.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Jodie (8/5): Beautiful location and value for what we paid! A lovely place for a group stay! - Very close to town and could walk all weekend whenever we went. Beautiful view and felt private even though there was neighbours No firewood provided to get us started
- Margot (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Tayla (6/5): Great Location - Great location and size of the place was good Had a strong musky smell throughout the house
Beds were really hard
Showers were dangerous for my eldery grandmother
- Cam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (9/5): Superb - Great location. Very family friendly. Lovely outlook. Plenty of room to spread out. In the guest info book, or in a kitchen drawer I think the instructions for the oven and TV should be made available should the guest choose to read them. They then can contact the host if further help is required. The coffee machine instructions, I believe were available in the info book.
- Gowland (9/5): Superb - Large beautiful property in cute town...
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (9/5): Lovely cosy family home / enjoyed our stay. - The location was great and good value for the size of the property - very homely house especially when it was a rainy day and had to stay home. Lovely gardens and outdoor deck. The lovely local shampoos and body wash was a nice touch. Lots of games and books and great coffee machine. Plenty of wardrobe space snd cosy bedrooms.
Host was very helpful / would definitely stay again if back to Maleny. The bathroom floors got very wet all over after a
Shower as there are no screens.
The main bedroom was large enough to have a king size bed which would have really made a big difference.
- Luba (10/5): Lovely family home in the centre of Maleny, close to everything and quite street at the same time. - Great location, easy walk into the centre with lots of shops and cafes, yet it's well hidden between the trees and beautiful bush and create private and quiet atmosphere. nothing
- Joanna (8/5): Perfect house in a perfect location in sunny weather. - We loved the plan of the house and the greenery surrounding it. In better weather we would have been able to enjoy the house a lot more. We were a little overwhelmed by the musty smell of the property, possibly from the recent rain. As my children have respiring issues and allergies, it was a concern.
- Kylie (7/5): Great location with the dual living option. Full self contained room down stairs. A bit pricey for the property and its - The location is great. Just a short walk to the Main Street of shops and restaurants.
Was clean and well presented. There were a few things that I passed on that needed attending to.
2 bedrooms upstairs are not air conditioned.
Fan down stairs wasn’t working.
1 TV, with no free to air. Can only use your phone to log into streaming apps then connect to the tv.
Seemed like it needed a little bit of TLC.
- Simonette (7/5): Good - Close Proximity to town, beautiful outlook from the living space out to the bush at the back of the house, very clean and lovely furnishings The window in the lounge room can’t stay open. Considering the house had a very strong cigarette smell and it was very hot the day we arrived we needed to be able to keep open the only window in the lounge that actions the bedrooms and we couldn’t. The bathrooms have a slight sewerage smell so we had to keep their doors to the outside open as much as we could and downstairs had a very strong chemical smell that was not nice to breathe in. The kitchen needs more plates and bowls and a fat splatterer to cover pans when frying and a bigger bread board to chop and prepare food on.
- Katrina (9/5): Comfy, spacious house amongst a rainforest. - The house was located close to the main street, and we felt like the house was situated within a rain forest. The house was also spacious enough for the 6 of us with good amenities.
The fancy Barista style coffee machine was a hit.
Loved that all the light switches had lables to say what each one turned on.
It's a beautiful place and would definitely come back. We also had some local wildlife visit us. This is just nit picking but maybe a tv in the main lounge area so we could all sit around to watch a movie together, possibly also a speaker to play music. Also, downstairs didn't have a TV, nor did the fan work.
- Amandavangils (8/5): A beautiful base to enjoy Maleny and Montville - It is in a fantastic location, only a short stroll to the main street. The home has a lovely layout and feel. The open plan and deck in particular was very enjoyable. The coffee machine with ground beans and extra privacy afforded by the downstairs area were also good. The guest guide was very detailed (even a link to coffee machine operating instructions) and communication was great. We would definitely stay here again. A few things to note for completeness: The house smelled quite musty and needed windows and doors opened each day. The ceiling fan and light in the two upstairs bedrooms seemed to be connected (which was weird). And because we had read all the reviews, we were aware that the pillows were very firm, so we did take our own pillows, which was a good move.
- Caitlyn (8/5): The property was so peaceful. We had a lovely stay and would book again! - Location was excellent. The serenity looking out the back windows was lovely. We greatly appreciated all the items for the kids! Thank you.
- Christine (8/5): Overall, a great stay in a beautiful location. - Large and spacious house with lovely patio area surrounded by lush plants. Short walk into the Main Street with shops and cafes. Communication with the host was smooth and easy. A BBQ on the patio would be an awesome addition for making the most of the outdoor space, along with a few more kitchen basics.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Close to the main st, clean and comfortable.
- Peter (9/5): Delightful - Beautiful veranda, light and bright. Wonderful birdsong. Loved the green haven one looks onto from the veranda The showers are both extremely slippery.
It would be nice to have a barbecue
- Ritamay (7/5): We are trying another property next year .. - Spacious, next to nature, open, comfortable furniture and beds, soap and shampoo supplied, well maintained, easy to walk to town, quiet …. After 12 months and two requests, downstairs lamp was still not working so we had to move a small table and a bedside lamp from another space for a bedside light.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb - Apart from no chopping board & somewhere to hang tea towels, as we didn't use the dishwasher, it was wonderful.
We will certainly recommend to our family & friends.
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Lovely, clean house that was a minute walk to main centre of town. There were some nice touches with coffee beans supplied for the coffee machine, environmentally friendly bathroom products, books and games. We made use of the fireplace and the chimera in the lovely front garden. Would recommend highly. Great stay close to town.
- Sullivan (10/5): A perfect stay right in the centre of beautiful Maleny. - We loved our stay. The host was very accommodating letting us check out later. Staying with my family, with a 1 and a half year old child and my elderly father it made a huge difference to our stay. The property was well presented with lots of room for everyone both downstairs and upstairs with a beautiful deck for us all to enjoy. We'll definitely be returning.
- Kerry (9/5): Great location and great facilities for a family getaway - Large size
The little extras like coffee machine, books, games and handy notes on items
Location within walking distance of the Main Street Not really a problem but couldn’t get the fan downstairs to work and something was crawling around in the ceiling above the bottom bed
- Kaye (7/5): There are many little details which can easily be improved to make this a better experience. - Lovely garden and big deck. Bed and pillows are super uncomfortable. Bathrooms are treacherous.
Very small carport with metal uprights situated right where you needed to open the doors.
Did not provide firewood even though there was an indoor and outdoor fireplace.
- Deborah (9/5): Superb - Location. Furniture. Fire place. Comfy beds. Ease of access. Great host communication. The pillows provided are very hard & uncomfortable.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolina (8/5): It was fantastic! The whole family had a great time. Looking forward to coming back. - Fire place, well equipped kitchen, kids toys and books were awesome! A very spacious place Cleaning in the kitchen and social areas was good but in the bedrooms no so great: spider webs and dust everywhere.
- Kathy (8/5): We had a great time exploring the area - The location and space Shower area. As it is an open area a lot of the room floor is wet when you have a shower
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (10/5): Serene and private location, spacious yet cosy getaway for family/friends. Highly recommended. - The location was great, close to restaurants, shops. We loved the extra thought put into comfort, eg children's dining sets, books for young and old, etc, and catering facilities on both levels. We weren't overly keen on the showers (I slipped in my own bathroom last year fracturing my kneecap so was a little nervous with no barriers for the water). The second upstairs bedroom fan/light remote didn't work properly and the light would randomly turn itself on and off. Also, the blind in that room really needs new cords and couldn't be used properly.
- Irina (7/5): Good -
- Merrilyn (7/5): Well located for a short stay - Great location close to shops in Main Street Had read about the musty smell in other reviews - I do understand there has been a lot of rain but it is noticeable. Also didn’t realise you have to request linen for the sofa bed.
- Nancy (7/5): It was comfortable and in a great position, but I think it was overpriced for what we got. - The close proximity to everything, the space, and the peace and quiet. The beds were very comfortable, and the host was easy to contact and responsive also. If one room used the remote for fans and lights, then it was also affecting the next room, even though each remote was kept in that particular room. There was no milk at all, even for the 1st night, no instructions for the coffee machine, and the house smelled musty, particularly the downstairs bedroom. The blind came down when my sister tried to close it, and initially the host was saying there was force used, when there definitely wasn't. He did come straight out to check on it the next day, and was very pleasant after that.
- Denise (9/5): Hidden gem with open spaces and plenty of room for our stay. We wish we could've stayed longer. - I loved the bathroom design however the bath mats got wet and downstairs was a little slippery on the floor when wet.
Coffee machine was fab however milk would have been good. I found the pillows a bit too firm and expected there might be tissues supplied.
- Mischelle (4/5): Very disappointed - Location The mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. The cockroaches,The smell ,The cobwebs,The dirty Windows The fact the it was really hot and there was no air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms. The house only had a few flyscreens so you couldn’t open the windows to get rid of the smell. The carpet was wet going down the stairs and someone came to look and said it may be coming from the slab underneath the house. She did give us air freshener to mask the smell but it was a waste of air freshener. When I got up during the night the cockroaches scattered when I turned the light on. The manager did say they just had it sprayed but obviously it didn’t work.
We were offered to leave but unfortunately we had a function to get to as soon as we arrived and had no time to find another option for 6 people and a baby.
- Peita (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Ainsley (10/5): The house is in a lovely bush setting and is a great place for time out from city living. - The property has 2 self contained living spaces which was ideal for our group of 6 adults. There was ample on street parking. It is an easy walk to the town area and cafes and shops. There are also bush walks close by. The host is very helpful and communicative.
- Bindy (9/5): Perfect base for the family holiday -
- Gayle (8/5): Very good -
- Glenn (9/5): Superb -
- Ellen (10/5): Lovely peaceful stay, - very happy with our stay at 16 Beech street Maleny; Perfectly positioned just a short walk to the main street
We found the kitchen had everything needed, comfortable beds, exceptionally clean. Small kitchenette downstairs was a bonus, listening to the bird life while having morning coffee on the balcony was very serene
Property manager easy to contact and small issue dealt with immediately.
Highly recommend this house in beautiful Maleny. Not that we thought it an issue; we have had a lot of rain recently the back yard was a little overgrown.
Easily solved, did not affect our stay. If that was our only complaint you have done well.
- Ella (9/5): Superb - Extremely close to local town and shops… highly convenient! Upstairs level is beautifully fitted out and spacious. Our host was very helpful.
- Elaine (10/5): Excellent accommodation and reasonably priced . - Situated in a good place , not far to walk to centre of Maleny
- Niroshini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional - Much bigger than we thought it would be, and very clean. Beautiful gardens and outlook from the back deck. 1 car carport, no lock-up garage which didn't bother us. The whole house is very spacious. 2 bedrooms on the top level, lovely entrance with fireplace, kitchen with all appliances, full sized fridge and dishwasher. No condiments, so BYO if you are intending to cook meals. Also on top level bathroom/toilet, loungeroom, dining room, large back deck. Interior stairs to the 3rd bedroom which includes 2nd bathroom/toilet, kitchenette and lounge/dining with glass door to the back yard. Very clean. Great position & an easy walk to the main street of Maleny for shopping and beautiful food. Maleny Lane our favourite eating place!! We loved the house and had no issues for our 2 night stay. Highly recommend.
- Claire (8/5): Apart from the minor points above we had a lovely peaceful stay & would happily visit again. - The environmental/cruelty free products used within the property.
The personal touches, varieties of books available, I was exceptionally pleased to see Vegan books 💚
Good quality pillows, nice comfy beds.
Filtered water, coffee machine, good amount of kitchen utensils & cookware.
Jonathon, the property manager, was prompt with requests & questions. & helpful at wanting to make your say as good as possible. Just a couple of things, coffee machine instructions would have been helpful, as we enjoy coffee but don't have coffee machines, we were unable to use it.
The oven is also a little on the slow side,
again, instructions would have been handy.
There is a bird of paradise plant on the bathroom balcony that needs attention, no point in environmental producs if we don't look after the environment that gives us the air we breathe, the door was locked so we couldn't even water it sadly.
Last little point, check out was 10am, our personal code was locked 8am, if we had all been packing the car or gone out for an early breakfast we would have been locked out.
- Fatimah (10/5): Recommended accommodation - Convenient accommodation in the heart of the Maleny nothing
