- Sandy (6/5): we come to port douglas every year and this place wasn’t up to our standards and we paid good money for it - the location, the amenities of the property, pool, parking , elevator. the apartment was billed as “magnificent “.
I think the owner used a bit of poetic licence.
here is what was wrong.
it didn’t have a full kitchen. the oven was a portable, and you had to find it in the cupboard and they wasn’t enough space on the counter to bring it out. the television in the living area was too small, it wasn’t smart so we couldn’t watch Netflix or Prime or Stan and it only had basic Foxtel channels.
there was a Smart TV in the bedroom but who wants to go to bed to watch it. the wicker chairs were very uncomfortable and the couch was old and saggy.
it had 3 balconies, but not one chaise lounge on any of them .
the bathrooms were basic , no cupboard or drawers in either and the shower heads didn’t fit properly and kept moving
it had a espresso machine and coffee pods but there was no milk brother. you could buy one for $32 at KMart . the kitchen stuff was mismatched and the 2 wineglasses were mismatched and looked like they were taken from a cheap chinese restaurant
we bought 6 proper ones at KMart and left them for the next customer.
the didn’t leave enough shampoo and conditioner for our 2 week stay. there was no boxes of tissues .
the place was small and ordinary.

- Annie (7/5): Great location but the unit needs updating to make it more comfortable to spend time in. - Great location in Port Douglas and the beds were comfortable.
Unit was clean and tidy No direct easy access to Macrossan Street without lots of stairs.
No Netflix/smart TV in main Living area
Furniture looks tired and needs an update
Key card lock on second bedroom is inconvenient.
No offer of fresh towels when stayed more than a week

The owner is very responsive from time of booking to exit of property and will assist with late check out if possible. Would highly recommend and will be returning N/a
- Nigel (10/5): Had a brilliant time in a perfect location. Fantastic pool and BBQ area. Would return in a heartbeat - The location could not have been better. Literally right next door to Coles and all the big restaurants and pubs, while not being on the noisy main street. Perfect! The rooms did face south and were quite long and narrow so you needed to have the lights on even during the day, but we didn't see that as any big issue. Soap dispensers didn't work, but again they also provided cakes of soap so that didn't really matter. It was truly exceptional value for money.

- Angelo (8/5): Overall, it is in a great location, close to shops, and well maintained facilities thanks to Mantra. - Location of the property was smack in the middle of Port Douglas. Easy access to shops, pubs and restaurants. Room probably needs some updating. Old style fittings which would not meet today's safety standards. It requires some maintenance to bring to current day standard.

We loved the three balconies! Everything in the apartment is very well-maintained, but a bit old. The beds were quite soft and not great for our backs after a few days.

A nice spacious apartment for my young family. Only a few minor things: Spare linen and towels would have been good, especially for a 6 night stay. When I asked the host, I was advised that there is a washer and dryer or I could pay extra for a cleaner to come in... I used the washer and dryer, however there was only a few scoops of laundry powder available. There was also only a little bit of dishwashing detergent available for the kitchen dishes..
Despite this we still had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the place. Thank you :)
