An easy walk to the beach and shops, and the cottage had absolutely everything we needed. We loved our stay. We loved it!!
- Rosemary (10/5): - House was spotless and beautifully furnished. Very quiet at night.
Our host was very friendly. Would have preferred off-street parking. Road was busy due to being a temporary detour route.
- Martina (10/5): -
- Warren (7/5): lovely lady nice and quite good location - location flashing light from garden bed directly into bedroom no hand rail on second flight of steps towels need softener-very coarse
- Harriott (9/5): Gorgeous little place in the best location! Would highly recommend for a weekend getaway. - Fantastic location in a quiet area. Very clean and comfortable. The beds are within living areas of the cottage rather than separate spaces. Not an issue for us but worth noting.

- Chele (9/5): Location and peace and quiet - The location was perfect.
Bindy, the host, was beautiful.
Could not have been more accommodating.
Very helpful and happy to assist with any suggestions and recommendations. The shower taps were a little difficult to reach with the location of the shower screen
- Noreen (7/5): Cute cottage in good location - Cute cottage, good location. easy access. comfy bed It did feel a little overlooked by owners house so close
- Tyagi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alana (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (9/5): Superb - Great location, easy walk to the beach and town.
- Courtney (10/5): Private paradise tucked away in Torquay. - The property was really spacious and clean - my mum and I loved the set up and it was a short drive to the main strip of Torquay. Very close to the beach - so perfect if you’re planning to come during summer or just enjoy the sound of the ocean. Bindy was very welcoming and hospitable, she was really communicative via the message feature on the app. Will definitely stay here again in the future if I come to Torquay! It would be great if there was a better path to the cabin!
- Jackson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (10/5): Nice cosy private cottage - Nice, clean and private. Great location near Torquay township and beach.
- Neil (8/5): Great property, met our needs for our stay in Torquay. - The location was very convenient. The property was neat, clean and well presented.
It is ideal for short stays, though we only slept there, spending most of our time visiting family or at the beach. On arrival it felt a little strange entering through a side gate into a garden area, passing the owner's house to the rear building and not knowing if you were in the right place. In general it did not feel right.
A hand rail on the second flight of stairs would make it feel safer when using the stairs both ways.
- Samantha (8/5): Very relaxing. - It was very private and everything you needed was there. Decorated lovely and a really comfy bed. Lovely hosts. The wooden doors were hard to close and so were some of the windows. Apart from that everything else was great.
- Jocelyn (9/5): Great location and homely little cottage. - Bindy was a friendly and helpful host.
- Leyya (10/5): Perfect beach getaway - Beautiful and unique! The property was very clean and had so many gorgeous spots to sit and relax around the house. My partner and I highly recommend Bindy’s place. N/a
- Jay (9/5): Beachy, breezy and fabulous host - The cottage is 2 mins from the beach, well equipped for cooking, and set in the quiet back garden.
Bindy was fabulous in resolving the internet issue. For other guests looking to work from this property, Bindy has gone out of her way within 2 days to purchase stable internet for the cottage.
I got speeds of up to 220mbps download. This is fast enough to run work meetings easily - even for both my husband and I running calls at the same time. Not a concern for us, but the fact you’re semi private at the back of the main house may be a choice for others.
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous property, very clean and close to the beach
- Alana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (8/5): Lovely stay.A few more bits of wood would have been nice for the fire and matches. -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Esmé (9/5): I'll definitely be back! - The place has more than what you need. Such a beautiful setting! Right from the moment you open the garden gate, you're met with a luscious garden, and a gorgeous outdoor wooden table under cover. Everything is so homey, so welcoming and just so beautifully done. It really is a2 min walk to the beach, and a gorgeous 20min stroll to amazing restaurants.
- Gemma (9/5): Great house that’s clean, comfy and close to the beach. - Close to the beach.
Lovely and clean house.
Comfy bed and good quality linen.
Well equipped kitchen with coffee machine Wifi was extremely poor. Not a big issue if you have your own 4G though.
- Jason (10/5): We loved our short stay at Surfers Palace Torquay and were well looked after by our generous hosts. - Excellent, quiet location. A minute or so walk to the beach. Only a short drive into the town centre. Nice and quiet accommodation surrounded by well maintained gardens. n/a
- Jenna (9/5): Superb -
- Annmarie (9/5): Superb - The location - so peaceful, yet still handy for Torquay centre.
The areas to relax - lovely private garden area and open upstairs deck.
Clean big bathroom with bath was a treat. Nothing
- Richard (9/5): A perfect getaway with all the amenities - Spacious and comfortable, lots of places indoor and outdoor to relax, excellent kitchen with basic cooking supplies provided (coffee, oil, salt, sugar, etc), beach right nearby, town centre a short walk away. A minor thing - the queen bed upstairs is positioned in the corner of the space where the ceiling is low. Easily solved by moving the bed to avoid hitting my head on the overhead beams. But the upstairs is otherwise very spacious and very comfortable to sit on the couches to read a book or watch a movie (or in front of the wood heater in winter).
