• Phirun (1/5): Waste my money to spend that house for 3 nights. - No like Pictures look very good but reality it is very different such as backyard looks like in bush, broken dry machine, dirty carpet, broken kitchen rubbish bin , dirty kitchen, dirty bathroom and dirty laundry room.

You will have to see it to believe it! - Although spacious and some parts of the house modern, the details and photos of the house were not entirely true as presented on the owners listing. I communicated this to the owner. We arrived at the house, unlike the photos - we were greeted to grass overgrown, spiders and webs in door entrances, and a house that looked like it had been abandoned and very dirty - This house needs a PROFESSIONAL AND DEEP CLEAN!!!! It was smelly, cupboards were dirty, dusty and benches were not cleaned. Cupboards were labeled, and sat empty, not a well equipped kitchen. There were a few things missing from what was listed alongside a dishwasher that was not clean or in use. There were no kitchen cleaning products. The oven vent was filthy, causing me concern for a fire hazard! There were black ants and dead ants and insects in kitchen cupboards. The furniture and cushions were smelly and dirty! The fridge was stinky and had mould. The toilet bowl had poo stains from someone previous, and toilet wall had what appeared to be poo smudges. The upstairs was dusty and the house appeared to have not been vacuumed or mopped before we arrived. The furniture and house appeared to have been fixed, repaired DIY. The aircon was terrible, too hot upstairs in bedrooms, to no heat downstairs or just too hot. The unit control pad was old, and there was no clear instructions on how to use it. Unfortunately, I had already paid the 7 days as we arrived to Melbourne for my nieces funeral. There was no refund even when i cmomunicated the photos and details advertised did not match what we arrived to! There was no garden views, it was very unkept, overgrown. I communicated my concerns with the owner. She sent a lady around to clean and vacuum on our first day. The lady was not a commercial cleaner who used a flannel to dry wipe all the surfaces I had pointed out the things that I had showed the owner and tgat which concerned me. The hygiene was disgusting.. The false advertising of this property for a family of 5, with 2 small boys (age 4 and 5yrs). I explained to the owner the importance of a clean home. The photos and description of the property were not what we got! This property needs a DEEP CLEAN and the lawns and gardens need to reflect the description posted. This property was well overpriced for what we arrived to! The blinds need to be dusted and fixed so that they can be functional and of use. Many were broken and all of them sticky dust! The kitchen equipment should be audited to see what isn't there! So many empty cupboards are missing important pieces for a family to prepare food from home. The unhygienic state of the kitchen, cupboards, and dishes, cutlery, cups that were there needed to be cleaned! There were no drinking glasses. We didn't like how this house did not feel like a home, but a place that we were stopping to stay in while in Victoria. The fact that the house hadn't been cleaned before we arrived was most disheartening, especially already grieving the passing of our niece. We are equally disappointed by the fact we got duped into thinking that this house was going to be what we had booked from New Zealand before arriving. This house has been our worst experience of a Air B and B booking, and our first in Victoria. Please BEWARE and ask before you pay.

• Krystal (4/5): Photos are not relevant to current state of disrepair of the property. - The size of the house. Unfortunately that is the only thing this property has going for it. It needs a serious deep clean and repairs, I am very disappointed. We contacted the owner, and she sent a girl with towels( which smelt) and we mentioned our issues, she tried to help with the heater, but didn't understand. She advised she would come the next day to clean, but never showed up. The photos are extremely old, most things were dirty or broken, door handles broken, locks not working etc. Holes in walls The back yard and front yard were seriously overgrown, the bins outside were overflowing with rubbish. The search warrant that was on the kitchen counter. House is in serious disrepair, and nothing like the photos. Broken door handles, makeshift repairs done, screws to overlap the handle to hold it in. No BBQ facilities like advertised. We couldn't get the heating working, had to change the batteries around, the remotes for the heater and aircon are hanging off the wall. House was extremely dirty. Dirty bedding, 2 towels supplied for 8 guests. Spiders, bugs and dust everywhere. The coffee table was broken. The couch was held up by bricks. The Dishwasher is broken. The plates, cutlery, and drawers and cupboards were filthy. No basic amenities. We had to purchase fresh bedding and towels to use, plus cleaning items to clean.

And heating too hot upstairs n quite cold down stairs. Nice to have some complimentary tea n coffee n milk available for guests.

• Lynda (8/5): Place was very comfortable for 4 sisters celebrating an 80th birthday - Breakfast wasn’t supplied It would have been good to have tea and coffee supplied in the kitchen. The tea towel was new and unwashed and left fibres on the dishes. A separate hand towel and bath mat would have been handy. The drawers in the bathroom were dirty
• Amanda (10/5): Will definitely book again when in Melbourne! Highly recommend - The house is very spacious & accommodating. Its a home away from home very warm & comforting! Love that it had everything that you’d need in a home & family friendly. House has all the modern features & the taste of decor is an added bonus. Rooms are large, beds comfy! Clean! The toothbrushes were a nice touch. Highly recommend! Trip was for a sad family gathering so having somewhere to come back too that felt like a home was comforting. Travelled with my partner, parents & 2 kids, the house is very accommodating to small or large groups. Communication with Rosie the owner was lovely and easy. Very minor and can be added.. There’s no soap holders inside showers besides that everything else is great!

I would recommend it to anyone. Host vey easy going and quick to respond.Hopefully it will be available same time next year.
