• PAULINE (9/5): Logement au cœur de la jungle ! - Nous avons passés un super séjour, le lieu et les petites maisons sont atypiques, ouvertes directement sur la nature, équipement et propreté au top. Hôte très sympa ! Nous recommandons fortement ! Petit bémol p-ê si besoin de se lever la nuit les toilettes ne sont pas attenantes à la chambre. (Escalier extérieur à descendre). Pour aller à Puerto Viejo compter 25 minutes à pieds mais possible de louer des vélos facilement.

The immersive experience of this stay in your own hidden little jungle was truely something to never forget. It was basically our first stop in Costa Rica and we already saw so much of the countries wildlife & flora from the comfort of this beautifully designed house. I do hope we will get the chance to visit Puerto Viejo and Villas de la Luz one more time in this lifetime. Take care till then! To other people thinking about visiting, just book it. You won’t regret it. 5/5 ⭐️🇨🇷🌴 Nothing ;)
• Cassandra (10/5): We will be back 100% - We had such a perfect stay at this place. The owner is so personable and kind and helpful. We’ve never experienced such amazing hospitality from an owner before. Wish we would’ve stayed longer here for sure. The pool is perfect to cool off during the day or night and was cleaned everyday multiple times. There’s animals everywhere all the time. Woke up by monkeys every morning, and walked around at night looking for things. Really miss that! The day we left there was a sloth in the area as well! Even without AC it gets chilly at night if you keep the big windows open (they’re screened as well!). The bed was comfortable and huge. To get to and from town it’s a bit of a walk, but not bad. We would walk to town, then take a tuk tuk back to villa. We will be back for sure the next time we’re in Costa Rica. Nothing to do with the place itself. Just the main road is quite loud, but earplugs really helped when sleeping!

• Robertoso (8/5): Good place near Playa Negra - Has a swimming pool, the fans keep you fresh, the owner is super friendly and helpful (wine bottle and coffee courtesy) , the villas are very private and the bathroom is nice and roomy. Wifi Internet was inconsistent and even though you can technically walk to the beach you better get a car/motorcycle to get to and from the beach.

• Lisa (10/5): Wonderful place to relax! - This is place is a hidden gem! Situated in a jungle where you don’t expect one (close to infrastructure, 7 minutes walk to the supermarket and beach) you can spot so many animals (monkeys, butterflies, birds, frogs, …) from your open kitchen, bedroom or rooftop. It is a quiet place perfect to relax and unwind. The villas are completely new and offer everything you need (including a well equipped kitchen). The host is wonderful and helps you in any way possible to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. I very much enjoyed my stay! Just be aware that you’re in the jungle and there will be little animals like spiders ;)
• J (10/5): A magical jungle experience - The space is all in excellent condition, very clean and well-thought out. We loved the open plan kitchen area and the massive mattress, but hands down the best part is the rooftop terrace. It was a delight to watch sloths and howler monkeys while drinking coffee in the mornings and watch the stars by night. The pool was a great asset in the midday heat and Richard attended to our every need. We also appreciated that there was some less bright white lighting for the evenings. Everything was great but be aware that you are in the jungle and the howler monkeys can be loud in the morning and you are a 30 minute walk or short tuktuk ride from town.
