Guest Reviews
- Lina (10/5): - This is one of my most memorable holiday stays - a comfortable cabin in the most incredible location, with wonderful hosts! The cabin is small and 'basic' but has everything you'd need for a few days. Waking up and returning in the evening to the view of Fitz Roy is something you just can't get tired off. The hosts were so lovely and very knowledgeable about the area. I tried their recommended hikes, which were so much quieter than the ones that start from El Chaltén. Highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it!
- Manon (10/5): -
- Andreu (10/5): The ultimate experience in Patagonia - The best place I’ve stayed in for a long time - breath-taking views, fully equipped with all you need and an incredibly helpful host. Stay here!
- Jia (7/5): Not a good value for money stay. Very friendly owners! - Location. Beautiful view to wake up to. The owners are very kind and friendly. They gave lots of help in finding the property and making restaurant recommendations. Easy to access the hiking trails. The location! It is 30 mins drive on dusty and rough road to town. The cabin is tiny. There are not many dining options around the property. Kitchen is small, but functional. But you can’t cook because it makes the cabin very hot, and you can’t open the door because all the horse flies and mosquitoes will come in. There is no water-flush toilet, only eco-toilet. If you are not used to it, it is uncomfortable. Not the best value for money stay. We paid a lot for what we we got.

- Alexandra (10/5): - Einzigartige Unterkunft, in der wir einige entspannte und wundervolle Tage verbracht haben! Alles nötige war da, es war sehr sauber und der Blick gigantisch.
- Paweł (10/5): - Usytuowanie obiektu i widok Brak wieszaków na ręczniki
- Adam (10/5): - Incredible location in the Patagonian Wilderness. Also very convenient for Laguna De Los Tres trail via El Pilar. The owner, Federico was super helpful and friendly. Nothing to dislike, but be aware if you are driving from Chalten the road is slow and bumpy - you will not want to be driving to and from town regularly unless you have a 4x4!
- Mara (10/5): Unbeliever stay - best views, in the middle of nature, perfect starting point for Laguna de los tres hike, amazing kitch - Everything was unbeliever and done with so much love to detail. Amazing views, in the middle of nature, kindest hosts, perfect starting spot for Laguna de los tres hike, amazing kitchen - one of the greatest places we have ever stayed at
- Polly (9/5): Gorgeous views from a cosy cabin - I loved this tiny house! The views from our window/deck were some of the best we had in El Chalten, and the cabin was really comfortable and well thought out, with everything we needed. Rebecca was lovely and so helpful. This was a perfect peaceful retreat to enjoy El Chalten from!
- Jenny (10/5): Beautiful eco friendly tiny houses with fantastic views of Mt Fitzroy. - We absolutely loved staying at Cerro Electrico. The tiny houses have everything you need plus some thoughtful extras like oil, herbs and spices, pasta and rice. It was lovely to come back to our warm, cosy little house after a long day hiking. Frederico and Rebecca were very helpful with information on the local area. If you want to get away from it all, just 15km from El Chalten, this is the spot! Nothing!
- Olivier (10/5): Remote yet close to El Chaltén, stunning Fitz Roy views, all essentials provided. - Although only 15 km from El Chaltén, the tiny house feels wonderfully remote with stunning views of Mount Fitz Roy. It’s like camping but with essentials—a kitchen, bathroom, and comfy bed. The hosts even offered us a ride back from El Chaltén, so we could start our hike early and finish in the town center.
- Bremmers (9/5): Top, adembenemend mooie omgeving - Waanzinnig mooi gelegen, Tiny house was precies volgens de beschrijving! Fantastische uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen
- Ziyad (10/5): More then i expected - It’s amazing.
One of the best places i have stayed, the cabin and the host, all was perfect
- Dima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (10/5): Amazing amazing stay! Don’t hesitate to book - The most amazing accomodation with an unreal view. The best of our trip, so glad we stayed here. Absolutely everything you need for an off grid experience, we only wished we stayed longer . Do yourself a favour and book here as long as you can . Such amazing hosts also - thank you!! Nil
- Alison (10/5): Best stay with incredible views in Patagonia! - This was by far the best stay we had in Patagonia! The views from bed are incredible and we truly felt disconnected and peaceful in nature. The thoughtfully designed ECO tiny house was stylishly decorated, extremely comfortable, had hot showers, reading materials, and games, and included a stocked kitchen perfect for cooking. We even had our first mate here! Fede and Rebecca have created a truly memorable and special place in Patagonia and we hope to return!
- Chantal (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Are (10/5): Disconnection in a mountain wonderland - The location is close to the eco domes, and has access to trailheads for both lago eléctrico and the Pilar trail towards Laguna de los tres, meaning one does not have to start at the bridge checkpoint and can save some time. The tiny house is comfy, with all your essentials covered: hot water shower, good bed, gas stove pots and pans, bed linen and towels, maps and books. In addition, and very thoughtful: rice, pasta, spices, tea, mate and coffee is provided, and the tap water is drinkable (and delicious).
The owners live close by, are super helpful and kind, and will help you navigate the area, with tips about trails and input on weather forecasts (no WiFi or cell coverage in the tiny house)
Oh and the view from the tiny house, or from its deck: simply stunning. 360 degrees of mountains. Loved everything
- Lucie (10/5): Place you can’t miss! - This was the best stay of our vacation! Place is very cosy and it has everything you need - hot shower, gas stove, heating, and even the small “necessities” like coffee and tea, board games, books and maps of the area. Federico welcomed us with perfect English and handful tips for hikes. The view from the bed is stunning from sunrise to sunset and it’s a perfect location for stargazing. No complaints at all! Just a few tips - there is no fridge but the owners offered us to store anything we need. Be aware that whole area of national park is low in mobile and data signal which means basically no connection - which we really loved. Take sun cream and repellent since the place is in mountains and lakes area
- Miri (10/5): Thank you for an amazing stay! - Everything! I liked everything!
- Sabine (10/5): Anytime again - Wonderfully remote location, beautiful tiny house, well appointed kitchen, powerful heating for a cold day, all very tasteful and chic, magnificent view of Fitz Roy Nothing
- Matos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faye (1/5): Bad - I recognize I am the only one writing a terribly poor review for this place, which I have never done on booking.com before, but this is just my honest experience.
1. The first thing that surprised and upset my partner and I was the compostable toilet. No where in the listing does it say that it’s a compostable toilet. I get that it’s “green” and I would be ok if the tiny home was truly a green home but it’s not, and that brings me to my second point…
2. We felt that the hosts were greenwashing - they had cut corners and chosen cheap alternatives in the name of “eco-friendliness”. However, the home really was not green at all. Just to name some examples: Poor insulation with open vents and window gaps, teflon pots and pans that were all scratched up, polyester bedding etc. I’ll expand on the first 2 points.
3. Insulation was poor which meant it was super cold at night so we couldn’t sleep well. If we had used the heating system, it would not have been energy efficient given all the gaps in the windows, vents etc. On the flip side, it was crazy hot in the day because the space gets the afternoon sun but it’s not possible to open the windows and doors unless you want to have dozens of flies and insects in the living and sleeping space. No cooling or heating provided, at least in summer. I get it - electricity is powered by solar but then there needs to be alternative eco heating and cooling instead of allowing guests to burn up in the day and shiver at night
4. The scratched up and peeling Teflon cookware is not only covered in material harmful to our environment but to our health. The home is so far from the town so cooking was our only option and we had no choice but to cook on and ingest toxic chemicals
5. The place is really far from town, further than you think in terms of travel time. Of course we knew the distance from town when we booked, but what we didn’t know was the condition of the road to and from town.
- Suiko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yao (10/5): Perfect location inside the mountain with beautiful view - The tiny house was a perfect get away from busy cities and emerge oneself totally with the nature. The view from outside wood terrace as well as big window from inside the room was just perfect! I enjoyed the sunrise from the bed. Also multiple trekking trails are just nearby which were really convenient. The sustainable lifestyle such as organic soap, dry composting toilet makes the stay even better. Federico and Rebecca were so friendly and helpful. I spent 3 nights there and didn't get enough at all. Next time I would love to stay for weeks
- Richard (10/5): Too short, but we stayed nearby in another great place - Location, view of Fitzroy, isolation. Helpful owner
- Eve (10/5): Exceptional - Great hosts , full of useful local information
- Maxence (10/5): Where else can you watch the sunrise and sunset on Fitz Roy from the comfort of your bed ? 😍 - Awesome tiny house with direct view on Fitz Roy! Watching the Mount illuminated by the stars at night is unforgettable. The bed is small but so comfortable, the kitchenette is nice and functional with enough utensils for your needs, nice little bathroom with hot water to relax the body after long hikes. Hosts are super nice and helpful, and we even had their small hairball visit us in the morning.
You can even hike up to Laguna de los tres from your cabin on a way less busy path! Location is 30min away from Chalten and there’s no service nor internet at all (which is perfect for disconnecting but should you need access, the hosts can help you with that).
- Zinke (9/5): A super honest and friendly host - One of the most approachable people we met during our trip ;
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect Place. Very cozy and well equipped Tiny House - we missed nothing. Heater and warm Water made it very easy to stay here. Rebecca was very nice and helpful and gave us very good advices for example for a Taxi from El Chalten to the Tiny House. So we started our hike to Laguna de los Tres at the Tiny House and finished in El Chalten, had a nice Dinner and took the Taxi back to Tiny House - perfect day! Nothing - it was not easy to took the lovely and funny Cats not inside the house for cuddling :) Just joking- everything was perfect
- Emma (10/5): Cosy cabin with unmatched views of fitzroy and the national park. - Absolutely loved our stay in this cosy little cottage with incredible views of Fitzroy and the National park. It snowed quite a lot while we were there, and it was perfect being curled up with a book and endless tea watching the snow fall outside.
- Amanda (10/5): Absolutely beautiful and unique stay if you want to get away and enjoy all the area has to give. - The views, the set up of the cube, the giant windows, and the super friendly owners. The shipping container did get really hot during the days, and there’s no air flow that doesn’t involve a bunch of bugs getting inside.
