Guest Reviews
- Julie (10/5): - Position was great, beautiful water views, very accommodating and very happy with our stay. Would recommend to others Did have some issues getting TV to work but could have been our lack of skills. Some basic steps or points to operate could have assisted. Unsure if CD player works unable to sort that out.
- Peter (10/5): - Very well appointed. Easy to gain entry. Good location.
- Haobin (10/5): - The view from the accomadation was exceptional, great view from the balcony, fairly well furnitured, loved the fireplace and the host were very friendly.
- Fiona (9/5): The cottage was perfect for a lovely, peaceful, relaxing getaway on Bruny. - The location was very peaceful. The house was perfect for a family of 4 adults. It was well equipped with everything we needed, comfortable and quiet. The views from the verandah were beautiful and there were lots of wallabies in the garden. It was a short drive from the famous bread fridge, where we bought the best, freshest bread. The heating worked well as the nights were quite cold but we were always comfortable. The tank water was much nicer than chlorinated tap water. There is a closed combustion fireplace. We tried to use it but the chimney must be blocked and the smoke came out into the room.
- gail (9/5): So cosy with great views - fabulous location with beautiful views. Friendly wallabies visited us every day. the furnishings paintings, and decorations created a lovely ambience. nothing
- Matthew (9/5): Fantastic view - Fantastic location overlooking the ocean. All was good.
- Steven (8/5): - Position Not enough time
- Hill (10/5): Very charming and cosy, great space and spectacular views. - The cleanliness of the house Nothing
- Colwell (8/5): Very good - Great location.
Loved sitting on the verandah looking at the views and wildlife. If you're looking for areas to improve, we all thought that the bathroom needed a more thorough clean.
ie hair gathered in plughole ( which wasn't ours)
- Rod (9/5): Peaceful Paradise! - Brilliant location!!! Overall cleanliness could be improved.
- David (9/5): Great location - close to Cloudy Bay and the Lighthouse, and not too far from Bruny’s other stunning features and amenit - A great property with a beautiful view and everything you need for a relaxing stay on Bruny Island. The Beach House has everything you really need. The only potential criticism would be that the TV is a little on the small side but frankly who comes to Bruny Island to watch TV?!? ;)
- Ffion (8/5): Great place but check supplies such as firefighters and toilet paper. Wonderful location. Comfy too - Location and lovely deck and view Lacked small conveniences such as a hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner etc
- Heather (6/5): Disappointed, this property is not 5 star as advertised. - Location, beautiful outlook. Beds were comfortable. Crockery, pots and pans were dirty.
WiFi didn’t work. Numerous attempts for help to get fixed. Due to this the TV didn’t work. House was dusty. Not enough fire wood for the 2 night stay.
- Riwaj (8/5): Very good - Location Wifi didn’t work at all from the second day.
- Judy (8/5): Clean and well equipped. - Great view and location for our needs. Property clean and well equipped for what we needed, Blind in bunk room was broken. Attempted to fix it but unable to. Double bed in first room collapsed on one side. Strapping between slats under mattress require strengthening.
- Juanita (9/5): A beautiful place to just relax. South of Tasmania? With the humidity it felt more like Bali! - Asling beach house is beautifully located and I love how almost all the rooms have beachfront views of the ocean. Spectacular sunsets can be mesmerised whilst you are cooking or having a meal. The host has tastefully decorated the house and it is well-organised and pristine and the ambience is exceptional. The decking is beautifully positioned with comfortable sofas. Every space is well utilised. Internet connection is limited to only 4 devices. For a place that accommodates 6 guests, 2 will miss out or you cannot connect your phone and laptop at the same time if you need to shoot some emails for work.
If you are cooking, bring your condiments etc, this was very limited, including tea, coffee & milk.
- Nimesh (10/5): Exceptional - Good location for relaxing and great view from the front rooms.
- Nataly (9/5): Amazing - There you be a vacuum to clean it
- Kimberley (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jodi (4/5): It was disappointing and we had to work hard to find the positives - Quiet location. Property needed better resources and guidance about facilities. It was very cold, the fire had no kindling or paper to light the fire. Lighters and matches were eventually found the day after at the bottom of the wood basket underneath the wood that was there. TV has NO reception and us not a smart TV to which a device can be connected to stream a movie during a cold, wet stay. DVD and books are available and are suited to tastes of many years ago.
Host did offer alternative accommodation in a nice, new unit but located in a run down area, on a bare block with no garden overlooking suburban-like backyards before water views in the distance. Host responded with confusion about why this was not appealing. Host did arrange lighters and matches to be delivered late on the second day of our stay.
- Free (7/5): Good - It was cold when we arrived and both the wood heater and heat pump were off.
4 adults stayed but only room on the sofa for 3
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
