- Nathan (6/5): Gorgeous surroundings, beautiful suite, few amenities, fairly remote, minimal guest attention, and don’t expect everythi - Beautiful setting, spacious accommodations, comfortable. First off, while it was easy to make the reservation, there was no information on how to guarantee the reservation with a down payment, so it was only in the week before arrival that I was able to secure confirmation definitively, along with instructions on the rental. That was stressful. Sarah indicated that booking.com didn’t have a way to process payment for them, but it seems there could be a better way. Many items in the suite had issues; within 24 hours of our arrival, water came pouring into the kitchen through the outlet behind the refrigerator, evidently flooding in from the suite next door. Sarah and her staff were very responsive in addressing it. The microwave only sometimes worked, although the microwave display never worked. The AC unit in one room was stuck in “on” position without ability to change temperature. I was informed by maid staff that maintenance items are very difficult to replace as imports are somewhat scarce and hard to get a hold of. It was great to have a kitchen and a clothes washer, but be aware: there is no dishwashing soap or clothes washing detergent provided nor any store nearby, so plan on stopping somewhere first to get some before you arrive; same goes for salt, pepper, etc.. Refreshingly or annoyingly, the location is fairly far from activities (sailing, kiteboarding, scuba,etc) and stores / shops / gym. That lends charm, but - - depending on the vacation you’re looking for - - can also be a hassle. Sarah was lovely to work with and responded quite quickly (despite holidays), yet seemed hamstrung by circumstances of island life.
