Guest Reviews
- Denver (9/5): - Brilliant location within walking distance of the CBD. Spacious with room and well serviced amenities. Was a great stay in the property. There are a lot of stairs to counter for those lugging suitcases - but also it’s a terrace house so to be expected.

- Susie (7/5): It was ok, just not suitable with all the narrow stairs and the dust issue - It was cosy. Those stairs. Even those stairs are shown on the floor plan we weren’t expecting there to be so many and so narrow. I think it should be noted in the description that it’s not suitable for older people or toddlers. We had both …there are three flights of stairs and probably maybe 10 in each flight. Trying to get luggage up and down was a nightmare. If we had known this, we would never have booked. Also, there is a step down into the bathroom down the bottom ….it needs to be noted with a light or something to show that there is a step. I jarred my back when I stepped down and also my brother did
Also, as soon as we walked in, we could smell a strong smell of dust. It wasn’t until our toddler was playing on the mat in the lounge room that we realized it was coming from the map we pulled it up, and the amount of dust collected on the underside of the mat and the netting under was disgusting . It was thick. We had to remove the mat from the lounge room as it affected our little toddler’s asthma and my brother’s cough. When I mentioned this to the host, she just passed it off by saying we’ve never had a problem with the Matt before I think that’s very unprofessional.
- Shereen (8/5): Would recommend this property. Very charming. - Lovely location and old world charm. Incredible view of Mt Wellington and the city. We were unable to change the TV channel for the entire visit, even after charging the remote for several hours.
- Regina (8/5): Very good - Historic property, well maintained About 2 km from the piers, all uphill ( we didn’t have a car), but was good exercise.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Kylie (10/5): Fantastic historic home with amazing views across Hobart. Perfect for a family. - The location in the historic district was fantastic and the old, historic home was beautiful and charming with a lot of period details. The views across Hobart were fantastic. I also liked how the host provided things such as laundry powder so I could do washing which is a must when travelling as a family. The street parking is timed Monday through to Friday but that didn't really affect us as we were out exploring all day every day.
- Kathryn (9/5): Lovely historic home. - Amazing views. Historic home and walking distance to Hobarts CBD. Not enough comfy chairs in the lounge.
- Clare (10/5): Beautiful home in quiet street. Very comfortable and clean. Can highly recommend. - Old but clean and practical All perfect
- Pauline (9/5): We had a great time and amazing views over the city and Mount Wellington in the rain and sunshine. - Loved the historical look and feel of the property, the high ceilings and look of the lounge room, the fireplaces. The chandeliers and overall feel of the property. The lack of parking. The heater in the bathroom on the wall wasn’t enough to heat the room. The floor heater in the bathroom didn’t work.
- Hridaay (9/5): The place is beautiful and done up really well. Brilliant views and pretty well Located. - The place is beautiful and done up really well. Brilliant views and pretty well Located. NA
- Euan (10/5): Absolutely sensational. Stay here if you can! - The house was stunning and all the bedrooms were huge. Great kitchen facilities and the view off the balcony was sensational. Location is brilliant and the communication in the lead up to the stay was excellent, making for a very easy check-in. Nothing whatsoever.
- Wendy (8/5): Great place to stay with friends. - Loved the views and the peacefulness. The stairs! There were so many.
- Else (9/5): A charming base from which to explore Hobart - It's a charming 1880s house in an old suburb full of interesting architecture. Comfortable and well-appointed, with a wraparound balcony looking across Hobart to Mt Wellington.
Walking distance from a supermarket,.the CBD, and the lovely Botanic Gardens. Easy parking.
- Inuksha (9/5): Superb - Beautiful home. Clean. Loved the aesthetic. Bedrooms are spacious and each was set out in a unique way. Kitchen was well stocked and functional. Enjoyed sitting out on the verandah and taking in the view.
Very easy to check in. Lisa, the host, was lovely and checked in at the start and end of our stay to make sure everything went well. Required going through a third party website to verify identity and to place an additional deposit. It was an additional $35 if you chose the no refund option or $500 held as a bond to be returned after your stay with $15 processing fee.
Not 2 bath. Was 1 bathroom including a toilet located downstairs and a separate toilet upstairs.
Beds were fitted with some sort of heating blanket or something which was made of a plastic material, was difficult to sleep on.
- Margaret (7/5): Interesting historic house. - Comfortable beds and good pillows and a beautiful view of Mount Wellington and good shower pressure. Not enough comfortable seating in communal areas.
Only 1 shower for 6 adults.
- Livewireshock (9/5): Superb - The view across to Mount Wellington and the gardening the rear were fantastic. Huge bedrooms and high ceilings defy the cottage definition. No issue parking on the street and close to supermarket and the CBD in general, despite the steep hill. Access to the Domain was also a great bonus for early morning strolls. Bathroom was at the bottom of the 3 floors, while the main bedrooms were at the top. The shower floor was exceptionally slippery, causing a fall and could do with a mat. Just one of most kitchen utensils made a home cooked dinner difficult, such as a single set of tongs to cook meat and vegan meals together.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Views amazing. Cleanliness perfect. Beds, linen and shower superb. A little more attention to the back courtyard weeds would have made the space more inviting but did not impact our stay.
- Denise (10/5): Beautiful hose in a lovely spot. - Property was lovely. Everything we needed. Nothing to complain about.
- Renee (8/5): A really lovely property that was well presented, close to the city and provided us a very comfortable stay. - This was a lovely property in a good location close the the city. It was well presented and clean and met all of our needs. I was travelling with my mum & Aunty who are in their 70’s so the layout with the full bathroom being on the lower ground floor was at little bit of an issue with them going up and down the stairs by the end of the stay but this was only a minor issue to consider.
- Kellianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - Very much like our home in the USA.
- John (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed. The experience. Great location. -
- Jade (10/5): Beautiful house with everything we needed for a short family stay. -
