Maybe eight steps down to the apartment. That made it easy for our luggage. The apartment was on the first level. And you stepped out the door and went right, you went to a cove where you could rent kayaks and see the fortress. Everything was wonderful

• Budi (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay in Dubrovnik. The apartment is very close to the Old City gate, and you don’t need to climb many stairs which is a huge plus! It’s also near restaurants, kayak spots, and great photo locations by the fortress. The room was very clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The facilities were excellent, and having Netflix made it even more comfortable especially for kids. Marko, the owner, is very friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!

Very easy to get here with children and barely any stairs (which we were trying to avoid). The owner/host, Marko, is the kindest man you’ll ever meet and make you feel like family. • Danielle (10/5): Amazing stay with Marko - I booked a trip to visit Dubrovnik for 3 nights with my mother (39 years old & 70 years old). Our host Marko was absolutely wonderful. We opted to have a car pick us up at airport with Marko's help. He greeted us at arrival and assisted with luggage and all recommendations for our stay along with recommendations for the rest of our trip in Croatia upon departure. The apartment location is PERFECT. It is RIGHT outside the walls so we were able to walk in and out of the city everyday with ease.. also right outside bus station if going to other side of town... Close to everything! The morning view right outside is beautiful and empty early in AM from the pier. We left for our next destination and I forgot my brand new bathing suit and Marko reached out right away to assist in returning... We stopped back to pick up on the way to the airport.. he truly was the best host with the best hidden spot for a great stay in Dubrovnik!! Perfect for all ages and level of activity. I Highly recommend staying here to explore Dubrovnik! Occasional noise from restaurant behind apartment but nothing too loud that can't be blocked by the air conditioner at night. It would definitely not deter from staying and recommending another stay.

The owner, Marko, was graciously waiting for us at the door, carried our very heavy luggage into the apartment and oriented us with all the amenities. He was extremely warm and friendly. The space was extremely generous with two bedrooms. and then when we were departing, he carried our very heavy luggage back up the steps to the main Square. We could not have asked for a lovely host and a better accommodation. Nothing

• Michelle (10/5): PERFECT LOCATION!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The location was AMAZING. It’s steps from the Pile gate and there are only about 6- 8 steps down from street level which aren’t bad. We saw people staying in old town where you had to climb 70 steps just to get to your place. It was very clean and the owner Marko was very helpful and kind. They provided water, fresh fruit and some snacks. I know this may sound crazy to some, but they had soft toilet paper, which after 10 days of sandpaper toilet paper, it was so wonderful. I was a little bit skeptical of all of the amazing reviews that I saw about this place but I can confirm that they are all accurate! I would definitely stay here again! We were there on Saturday night and there were people that were pretty loud walking past our apartment waking us up a few times. This isn’t anything they can help, but maybe having some ear plugs available for the weekends may help helpful?

• Stephen (10/5): Perfect apartment to explore Dubrovnik old town - A perfect location to explore the old town of Dubrovnik. Immediately outside the main entrance (Pile Gate) to the old town so close enough for convenience but able to get away from the crowds of tourists. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of March so the town was much quieter than we know that it gets. The apartment was perfect for the two of us though it does have an extra double bed if required. We had a light breakfast in the apartment and so used the fresh coffee-maker, kettle and toaster. We ate out at the many restaurants in the town for other meals. The bathroom has a good shower with rainfall head. The host welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly, helpful and kept in touch with messages throughout our stay. We arranged airport taxis through him which arrived perfectly on time and worked well for us. We recommend buying a 3-day tourist pass and visiting all the sites that it gives access to. The pass also provides 3-day transport on local buses though we found that the old town has enough of interest that we didn't need to venture any further. In conclusion, we highly recommend staying in this apartment to explore the old town of Dubrovnik for a few days. Everything was good for us.
• Yin (8/5): Unbeatable location and excellent host! - Marko was an excellent host! Very proactive, friendly and helpful. He helped to arrange airport transport and greeted us right when we arrived to show us our apartment. He had a long list of recommendations for the area and was always responsive when we had questions. Location is unbeatable! Apart from a few stairs to get down to the entrance, essentially as flat as you can get in Dubrovnik without much hassle of the cobblestone roads, which are tough with luggage. Shower water and pressure were very nice, and robes were also provided, which elevated the experience. Main con is that the apartment is not very soundproof. We went in prime low season and could still hear people chatting as they walked by at night (it did not affect our sleep) so I can imagine that it would be louder during busy season. Beds could also be a bit more comfortable, little squeaky when you move around on it.

• Huihong (10/5): We had a wonderful time and would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to experience the lively atmosphere of Dub - My parents and I recently stayed at this apartment in Dubrovnik during our Balkan trip, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The apartment is perfectly situated with easy access to the Old Town and convenient transportation options to the bus/ferry terminals as well as Lapad - the other side the Dubrovnik, which also has wonderful views. Just a one-minute walk from the apartment, you can reach a small harbor where you can enjoy stunning sunrises. It made exploring the city a breeze. The host Marko and staff Maria were exceptional—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. They truly made us feel welcomed and ensured we had everything we needed. Marko made great suggestions for our walk in Dubrovnik and our next stop in Sarajevo. The apartment itself is very new and clean, with lovely decor that made our stay even more enjoyable. The only small downside was the noise, as the apartment is located right next to a street. You can clearly hear tourists chatting as they pass by. However, this can also be seen as a positive—it’s part of the vibrant life of Dubrovnik, a bustling tourist town welcoming visitors from around the globe.

• Renee (10/5): A genuinely wonderful, welcoming and comfortable gem of a place to stay - thoroughly recommended! - I initially picked this property primarily for its convenient location, however during my stay identified many other positives, in fact I would struggle to be able to criticise any aspect. Appearance of the apartment is exactly as pictured on the websites, it’s modern, well maintained, clean, secure (two coded door entrances, lockable shutters on windows, a safe in each bedroom) and functional with everything you’d normally expect. There’s air conditioning, comfortable bed (additional bedding if needed), kitchen appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee machine etc, iron, hair dryer and even handwash/shampoo in bathroom. Bathroom is clean with lots of useful shower settings, water pressure strong and water temperature nice and hot. Marko was very prompt in answering all my questions and went out of his way to help with anything I needed as well as providing tips/recommendations for tourist destinations and local routes which was very helpful being my first trip to Dubrovnik. They also provided beach towels for my use (used when I visited Lokrum Island & Lapad) as well as a room fan (I mentioned I can find air conditioning too cold sometimes) in advance of my arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and the personal touch made all the difference to my holiday - thank you Marko and Maria for helping make my first visit to Dubrovnik so wonderful. I certainly hope to come back to this beautiful city! The price was more than I was hoping to pay as a solo traveller (there were two bedroom spaces in my apartment and I only needed/used one) and I could have found slightly cheaper in different locations, however the convenient positioning and benefits of this place thoroughly compensated for this, as I found it was perfect for what I needed. For a group of 2-4 people staying it would be better value for money, however I had no regrets as having subsequently explored the Old Town where I originally wanted to stay, much of the accommodation is accessed by many stairs (would be challenging for those with reduced mobility or carrying heavy cases up) whereas this location is situated right next to Pile Gate (useful for Old City access and main Bus Stops, noting many of the organised day tours use this as a meeting point) with only a few small steps down. Marko also very kindly helped me with travel to/from the airport and was generally a a wonderful host along with Maria. There were some issues with the TV system which were eventually resolved by the end of my stay (I wanted primarily only to keep up to date with current news + as the weather was initially stormy after I arrived) but it was not for lack of trying by Marko who was most apologetic, he came each day attempting to understand the issue and get it repaired, and I suspect will be arranging to replace the TV altogether if the issues persist!

• Gail (9/5): 1 week in Dubrovnik - The host was so very friendly and helpful and accommodating. He even drove me to the airport after my departure. Comfortable bed, good wifi, tiny but good shower. Very well equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, dishes and silverware. The flat is in a convenient location but is down a set of stairs that is difficult to navigate with large luggage. However, my host Marcos helped me carry my luggage down and back. The flat is in a very central location and at times is somewhat noisy.

• Katie (9/5): Would book again! - Very cute apartment just steps from the Pile Gate. Marko went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They kept our luggage for the day after checkout and even offered showers to freshen up before we caught our ferry. The apartment had coffee and tea, a refrigerator, and lots of towels. The apartment was not very soundproofed, like most older buildings, and you can hear quite a bit of street traffic. It was pretty quiet at night though.
