• Vallarino (4/5): - La habitación estaba limpia cuando llegamos La ducha estaba casi encima del water, se mojaba todo el baño cuando te bañabas. Lo que menos me gustó es que no limpiaron la habitación ningún día, con suerte venían a cambiar las toallas y a reponer botellas de agua, pero no hicieron la cama en ningún momento ni tampoco limpiaron, pésimo servicio de limpieza.

I was locked inside as the lock was stuck - as i was a solo traveller got scared truly as it was around 10pm. But immediately the staff arranged the person to repair the lock. Thats a great relief.

Es ist immer irgendwas gebastelt oder nicht repariert. Hier war ein richtig großes Stück Tapete heruntergerissen. Egal, Vorhang davor dann sieht es keiner. Die Dusche war eine Bastelarbeit. Die Rooftop Bar war zu und zum Müllabladeplatz verkommen. Keine Ahnung wann da das letzte mal Personal ober war.

The windows were nice and large, but terribly dirty. The receptionist was not professional at all; he was well-intentioned, but failed to provide some information and mixed up others.

Bed was hard but that’s what I like. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. Very good price too. If I’m back in Hanoi I will book again Sometime the water was cold in the shower

The balcony was ultra tight. Its just a decorative balcony, French stile. The room need more care. The furniture was dusty. The floor uder the bed, walls in the bathroom- would reccomend to clean it time to time.

I think they should take out pictures and can only mention to utilize Rooftop for view and time spending with their own drink and vice versa. I talk to staff and they love my feedback for changing pictures and provide relevant information.... Nice clean place to stay.. 100% helpfull with customer needs 24/7.... very nice place 👌 to stay with.... Only good for solo traveller's or couple or group of friends..... Family stay ok... if u are ok with surrounding with local market and people.. at last very loving ❤️ area with helpfull people... No problem at all.. wether u step out midnight... Just spread love ❤️ with locals No bar anymore and didn't update on website, so people are aware and don't book for such facilities which is not available anymore.. Already asked facility to change on update as it is misleading and people book for facility...

Location is not far from the Old Quarter It's a bit difficult to find because its GPS location is not accurate and the hotel is location inside a very small corner of an alley. I was not able to find it. Luckily, the night-shift young boy was willing to pick me up to the hotel, though it was kind of long-waiting for him to come.

• Lucifer (8/5): Research location and facilities - The bed was comfortable The room I had was large, overlooking a local street where kids play at night and scooters use it as a cut through from the early hours. The balcony is not big enough to sit out, there's no daily room service and the 'rooftop bar' appears to be non functioning, but rather just a small space where you can sit, the photos of this part looking welcoming, lit up and lovely are very artfully taken to be honest, it's more a forgotten yard with some tables. Actual hotel noise (other guests, elevators etc) is minimal which is nice, and the street noise stops between 10/11pm - 6am, unlike being in the middle of the old quarter where it's 24/7. There's no local information available, no offer of tours, taxis etc, infact it's the only place I've stayed in my entire travels of Vietnam where the receptionist doesn't even look up when I entered/exited! I recommend you double check the distance between the hotel and the places/areas you want to visit before booking, and if you plan any group tours with a local meeting point or hotel collection, make sure to check, because this is outside the hotel collection perimeter and a 20+ minute walk to the meeting points, factor in meeting early and walking in the heat to the meeting point. Would I stay here again? No

However it rained heavily and the roof leaked, the nice man on reception taped up the ceiling and changed our bedding but we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping under a taped drippy ceiling so we moved the mattress to the floor. Not very clean (on our 1st room)!When we 1st got there (around 11pm) staff was kinda lazy; after we checked in the receptionist didn’t show us how to get to the room or where the lift was. We had to ask him to show us how the hot water worked. When we got into our room, it was dirty, we kindly asked the same receptionist to ask someone to clean it, but nothing was done. After 2 days, because they were fixing some things on our floor, they needed the rooms to be worked on, so we were moved to the top floor, which was a really nice upgrade. However, the floor in one of the rooms was wet all the time (probably bc there was some sort of leaking from the shower).

• Simon (5/5): Room for improvement - The hotel itself is OK but there are many things that could be improved. Upon check in we were asked for copies of passports (which is normal). The next morning we were asked if we could surrender our passports to them as the lady at reception forgot to input in their system and they needed to keep it for some reason. We refused and after some back and forth they took another copy! We asked for our room to be cleaned and when we arrived later that day it didn't look like it had been touched at all. On our final morning I was midway through a shower when the water stopped working. My partner had to run down to reception to let them know but they just said yes we know there is a problem you will just have to wait a few hours until it comes back on. After explaining I was midway through a shower they provided some bottled water! The water didn't come back on during that morning and we had a flight to catch so we left feeling somewhat unwashed! The hotel itself has some potential but it seems like it is just being left to be uncared for which is a shame.

Entire bathroom floor gets wet after a shower. This type of bathroom set up is common on that side of the world, just unusual to me
• Annija (6/5): If you look for something cheap, this is it - Nice staff. We booked the VIP top room. It was the worst, they have big Tv in and big bed, but other than that it was not great experience. The staff is super nice and kind. But the room is not with it. The wc is in the shower, actually you must walk in shower and then you can get to wc. Also there was a room mixup, we arrived late at night and we went to our room after check in and there was traveler’s bags and stuff. The flow was wet. We had to wait for 1h to get to bed and the did not change the sheets claiming noons has slept in them. We had a baby with us. So not happy. We also needed to pay for late checkout.

Small thing, but they could just through it away or something. In general stuff was very kind and friendly. I didn’t know I should wait a little bit after turning on first time water heater, and I told them It doesn’t work. Stuff started to help me and fix it straight away.
