- Bjoern (5/5): Not recommended in winter - It’s a good size flat at 70sqm. Parquet flooring and a balcony with a nice view. On demand boilers ensure the water is instantly hot. Keyless entry with a code you get beforehand. I have stayed here four times, but will not return after what happened.

The flat is fine if you are going during the warmer months of the year, but not in winter. There are no radiators in either hallway or kitchen, which then leads to fairly uncomfortable temperatures (probably 15C but might have been less) when it’s below freezing outside (for example -8C). There were sockets available in the kitchen, so I asked the landlord if he could provide an oil radiator for my stay. His reply: “there are no plans for that.”

Even with the radiators running in the other rooms, those also did not warm up properly for two reasons: every time one opens the door, the warm air rushes out into the unheated hallway and the doors are of course not insulated as a flat would normally be heated throughout. Leaving them open did not make much of a difference as the unheated space was too big.

When I then asked the landlord again and explained the impact of the missing radiators, this was his response: “thank you for your remarks, but there are no plans to install any. The flat is designed this way and won’t be altered at the request of a single guest. As you have stayed in the flat before, you knew about the situation.”

I find this type of response unacceptable, especially given the fact I was a returning customer. With normal temperatures outdoors, the lack of radiators in hallway and kitchen was not very obvious. If the temperature in the flat falls below 18C in winter during daytime in spite of all radiators at 22C, it should either not be rented out or only at a heavily discounted rate. A quick fix could have been an oil radiator in the kitchen and a curtain – the kitchen door is missing.

Ein Babybett wurde kostenlos und eigenständig zur Verfügung gestellt, ohne das dieses angefragt werden musste.

- Björn (8/5): Nice and restful stay in this spacious flat - The current photos don’t do it justice: the flat is spacious and has nice parquet flooring and new paint. The view was good from the big balcony and it’s very quiet at night time. The landlord was helpful and accommodated my late arrival.
There were an oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster, kettle, and fridge as well as flat screen TVs. Towels and bedsheets were also available. The mattress on the double bed could have been better, probably should be replaced.
Curtains or blinds in the kitchen would be a great addition for privacy. Small details: A few more hangers maybe, a dish drainer, and a hook for the kitchen towels would be great.
