Was loud on the street (kinda expected though) - but was relatively quiet after 11pm - not the houses fault! Just something to be aware of (plus we are country people so not used to the noise!)

• Karen (8/5): Convenient stay close to Redfern station with very comfortable bed. Good value for families or 2 couples - Good location while visiting family in next suburb. Close to cafes and train. Very comfortable bed. Good light in bathroom and rear bedroom. Good security. Clean. Coffee machine. Car parking at rear if needed. A bit noisy at front of house with lots of university pedestrians passing by and traffic sounds- we used the bedroom at rear. The e-bikes are only included if you pay another $1000 deposit! Full payment was transferred immediately upon booking even with free cancellation. Stairs were fine for us but could be worrisome for toddlers or elderly.

• John (6/5): Great location - Location was great. Sofa bed had no sheets or blankets. I booked as had 3 separate beds. Maybe I should have advised we would use sofa bed but I didn’t realise necessary to advise that. Inside house was clean but outside was filthy.

• Owen (9/5): Great stay and would recommend for location and value for money - Great location, good sized property, kitchen and bathroom and big bedrooms & comfy beds and having the parking out was a bonus. Some decent cafes within walking distance. 5-10 minutes to the city, Glebe and the harbour. I missed that the property didn’t have aircon {my fault} which was bad timing with hot humid weather for 3 days. Fans supplied throughout and some Storms and rain cooled things down each nights
• Lorraine (4/5): Would not book again. - It had a good amount of space for 6 people. The toilet seat could be replaced with one that allows you to sit on properly. Perhaps unfortunate for us, but the busy Main Street had council workers working all through the night. Our booking was for 6 people and the host did not provide any extra linen or beds to accommodate for us.

• Spencer (4/5): This place is not worth the price; it was dirty, unfurnished, dark, and uncomfortable. - The location was about the only plus of this accomodation. We enjoyed going to the cafe across the street. The floors were dirty and had to be cleaned during our stay. There were not enough plates, glasses, etc. and very sparsely furnished for the price. This was by far the most expensive place we stayed on our three week holiday and for what we paid, I expected much more. The place is much darker and less inviting than the photos show. We were generally uncomfortable during our stay.

Upon searching, it was clear that it wasn’t just not connected, it didn’t exist. Wifi was supposed to be included. Contacted host and it was clear that nothing would be done and no sort of compensation offered for a less than satisfactory stay.

Close to the train station and shops I recently stayed at Elegant House Chippendale - City Centre 2 E-Bikes Included with my family and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Firstly, I would like to say that the photos on booking.com don’t accurately reflect the condition of the unit. The beds were far from comfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. To add to the discomfort, the house was very cold, and there were no extra blankets provided to keep warm. The bedrooms had open storage, which meant we couldn’t put our belongings away neatly. One of the bedrooms had mould on the roof, and the shower was also covered in mould, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and health. The kitchen was poorly equipped with very few utensils, making it hard to prepare meals. The toilet seat wasn’t even attached to the toilet and was flaking, which was extremely inconvenient. The entertainment options were limited as the TV didn’t have cable and kept freezing on Nine Now. The WiFi rarely worked, which was frustrating when trying to plan our activities. There was no information booklet about local attractions or check-out procedures, leaving us in the dark about what was expected of us before leaving. Despite being advertised, we couldn’t access the washing machine as the door to it was locked. Overall, the house could do with some serious attention and care to make it more inviting and cozy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made and photos are updated.
• Nerissa (7/5): Good - Loved nearly everything. Very neat and tidy, great location and short walk to train station. Very spacious and comfortable- will definitely stay again when we're in the area. The only thing i could mention that i didnt like was that the toilet seat was broken and not even connected to the toilet and should be replaced as it was flaking and dirty. Another thing was the shower was very mouldy, grout and sealer was covered in it. This is the only fault about the place as otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

• Bronwyn (9/5): Perfect. - Modern, clean, light, bright, uncluttered. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Heaters in both bedrooms. Kitchen well appointed. Great location, 5 minute walk from railway station and Carriageworks. The property was great. A little more communication beforehand would be reassuring.

• Timothy (9/5): It was very comfortable and super easy to get around. It was close to a lot that is around the area, and also very close - The lounge area and bedrooms were soacious and comfortable. It was a very cute house and we really loved it. The only thing I could fault in the property would be the toilet seat, which to be honest isn’t really an issue.

• Shan (1/5): WORST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED!!!!! WON'T EVER BE BACK! - The pod coffee machine, except there were no cups/mugs. The fact that "2 e-bikes" included is just a scam to get you to book. Host will tell you, you didn't send your id in time, then when you prove you did, they just make up another story and say you didn't pay for the deposit... ummm, it's included, and I paid in full???!!!!???? They also knew a child age 2 was visiting and there was poison everywhere. The bedroom door upstairs to the balcony didn't even lock, and the kitchen door leading out to the back didn't lock either. Also, my sons shirt ended up with dust so thick that it had eggs and spores attached. Highly disappointed. Want a refund for the ebikes I paid for included in my booking price.

• Yoke (8/5): Very good - It didn't look appealing from the outside but once inside it was totally transformed. It's modern looking and I like the split level design. The place is clean. It's only 6mins walk to the train station. Opening the front door was a problem. There were 2 locks but 4 keys so we had a hard time figuring out which is which every time. There were lots of pedestrian traffic and you can hear them talking as they walked by especially at night. The staircase has a safety hazard where a child could easily slip through and fall. There's a washer but no dryer. The host was not helpful at all. I needed a taxi to the airport and I needed a local no. to confirm my web booking. Messaged host but no response.

No mirrors in bedrooms, only bathroom Host was difficult to get in touch with and confusing info regarding parking
• Samuel (6/5): Pleasant - Great location near usyd, redfern train station and only a few kilometers from the city centre - could probably cycle there if you wanted. The rooms were big and the house was generally quite spacious. It wasn't that clean. Found a few cockroaches on the floor of the kitchen when we arrived. But otherwise fine everywhere else. I'm not an expert on Sydney prices but didn't feel like great value for money when compared with other cities I've visited around Australia.
