• .drew. (10/5): One of, if Not the Best Furnished Apartment I've Booked in Colombia. - Scott's communication was on point! It helped we're both American. The apartment was set up as a place he/I'd call home. A big, open kitchen with a real refrigerator (including freezer), and plenty of space. The laundry is off the kitchen, so when the washing machine/dryer is running you can't hear anything. Which is nice! Having the built in dryer was a HUGE bonus, as 99% of other places I've stayed in Colombia do not. The beds were nice and comfortable and when the windows are open there's a great cross breeze and VERY LITTLE noise, which is also VERY refreshing. I couldn't hear street noise, or cars, for the most part. Which is a huge bonus for Medellin/Poblado/Colombia. Each bedroom contained expansive closets, an iron, nice LED lighting with ceiling fans that were easily controlled via remote. The dining room/living room was extremely comfortable and the patio had a comfortable hammock that my girlfriend enjoyed at night. The showers were refreshing, especially after a flight. Each stocked with wonderful smelling shampoo/conditioner and even hot water! Each bedroom and the living room had new LG NanoCell TVs that have beautiful pictures and easy to use remotes, as well as streaming services. My son LOVED the Colombian Netflix so there were far more programs tailored to his native language and interests. The location is feet from the Santa Fe mall, yet, there's minimal noise. The mall itself is the best in Colombia with higher end stores and clientele. The apartment is within walking distance to "The Castle", and many other shops and 100% safe (and that's a huge reason I booked Scott's apartment). All of the security guards were friends, always, happily greeted us each time we arrived/departed and were super outgoing and friendly to my son. That made their first trip to Medellin so much more of a positive experience. No complaints.
