The bedroom was very comfortable and had everything for a very comfortable stay. Nothing was too much for the staff. Bar area was cosy and a lovely place to sit after a day/evening out. Superb range of drinks. One of the best breakfasts. Nothing.

• Manon (8/5): Stilvolles Hotel in Top Lage - allerdings nichts für Geräuschempfindliche - Sehr elegantes Hotel in Top Lage. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet, jedoch leider sehr hellhörig. Wer geräuschempfindlich ist, sollte unbedingt ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Innenhof nehmen. In den ruhigeren Luxus-Maisonetten führen allerdings sehr steile, enge Treppen hinunter ins Badezimmer. Wir hatten einen Zimmerwechsel, da man in der ursprünglich gebuchten Suite die ganze Zeit Straßenlärm hörte. Dabei und auch sonst war das Personal sehr hilfesbereit und professionell. Auch die Bar und das Frühstücksbuffet (teilweise mit Service) waren 1a. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Aufgrund der Bauweise in Amsterdam sind die Hotels sehr schmal gebaut und haben zum Teil steile enge Treppen auch in den Zimmern. So charmant die alten Kanalhäuser sind, die Hellhörigkeit und Mangel an Lärmdämmung durch die Schiebefenster ist leider der Nachteil.

• Joe (9/5): The Dylan is a lovely, historical hotel, well situated on a beautiful canal in the heart of Central Amsterdam. - The location is perfect. The staff is professional, pleasant, accommodating. We particularly appreciated the advice and assistance of Ronald, the concierge. We stayed 3 nights, and then another night a week or so later. Our first room was perhaps not spacious, but was very comfortable in terms of allowing us room for suitcases and just moving around without bumping into each other. For our second stay, we requested a walk-in shower. The tub shower combo in room one was awkward to get in and out of. We did, indeed, have a walk-in shower and it was beautiful. However, the room was very small, with inadequate space for both suitcases. Having said that, we would stay at The Dylan again, because the ambience and staff are wonderful.

Concierge Ronald is a rock star, scoring tickets and arranging a fun canal tour. The restaurants he recommended were enjoyable and not ultra-expensive. We asked for a room with a walk-in shower for our next stay. The tub shower combo was a little awkward, but doable.

• johnny (4/5): frustrating - the room itself as well as the building are great and have potential when I specificly request a quiet room beforehand I don't expect a room with a view on a wedding party; when I requested twice another room, my concern was waived away; the courtyard would be closed at 11pm, yet the party was still ongoing at 11 pm; when I called the receptionist, he apologised and explicitly told me they would come back to me upon, which they didn't and at departure, they didn't ask how the stay was, only how the breakfast was; problems can happen but from a LHW I expect to make a difference in how to handle the problem afterwards; they could have made me a regular visitor but instead created frustrated one

The concierge was extremely helpful as it was my first visit to Amsterdam. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Having stayed at several luxury 5 star hotels, the room was nice but not the most luxe. The room was small and there was an open divider to the bathroom, which I've experienced in less expensive hotels. For the price, I expected a little more.

• Rania (10/5): A Pleasant Stay at the Dylan Amsterdam - I had an amazing time staying at The Dylan Amsterdam Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Despite it being a large hotel, they somehow managed to know every guest by name, which made my experience feel so personal and welcoming. The hotel itself is luxurious and incredibly comfortable—everything from the rooms to the overall ambiance made for a relaxing stay. The quality of the food was outstanding as well, adding to the overall experience. A huge shoutout to the reception team, especially Kaylani who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and another special thanks to Amber who very kindly walked with me with an Umbrella in hand through the pouring rain to my taxi outside the hotel. Both Their genuine friendliness made my stay extra special. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service, comfort, and amazing food in Amsterdam. N/A A side note: I am not sure whether there was a communication issue through booking.com and the Dylan Amsterdam, as the room I booked with a canal view had construction scaffolding on the windows which I was not aware of. The builders were only there from 11 am to 5 pm and I was not in my room during these hours so it was not a problem it just meant that I did not get the best out of the canal view. Maybe in the future there could be better communication between booking.com and the Dylan Amsterdam to inform guests if issues like this beforehand.

The location was quiet but close to all the things we wanted , restaurants, shopping and museums. Could not have been a better choice. We loved everything!
• Marzouq (4/5): Doesnt worth the money spent - The location was very good and the staff at the reception were very friendly The facility is very exhilarated. The corridors to the room had a frying fish smell. And it was very strong The room cleaning was very bad.

• Alice (10/5): Will definitely return as was the highlight of our trip - Exceptional staff. Loved the location. Beautiful bar and restaurant. On our final night did not sleep due to the noise from courtyard I suggest insulating walls to reduce noise I still give it a 10 though.

• Hector (9/5): Very good considering the problem noted - Excellen staff service, great location The canal view suite is not for couples, it lacks closet space for clothing, we had to leave clothes in our luggage,it was very inconvenient
