Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Will definitely think about staying here again. - Our stay in this apartment was made not possible because of maintenance issues. However the owner went above and beyond to find us replacement. The accommodation he provided was spotlessly clean, and comfortable in a great location. Check in was easy and there was a friendly atmosphere around the apartment
- Karl (1/5): DISGUSTING PLACE & POOR SERVICE - Location of bus and underground EVERYTHING!!!!
Disgusting place and just as bad staff/communication
First day i walked into a sodden towel hanging on a drying rack, didnt even have the courtesy to prepare a clean DRY towel for my arrival. I had to trudge around London looking for a place that had towels because i simply didnt trust that one.
Weed and cigarette smoke daily flooded my room and the tenants really thought an incense stick was adequate to ‘mask’ the smell. Absolutely disgusting kitchen from a overfilled dirty fridge, sink full of plates and food to a constantly overflowing bin. Toilet smelt like urine, lack of toilet roll the list goes on.
Didnt trust the kitchen but required one for my day to day so was forced to buy disposable goods and oven only food.
If you need just a bed then you will be ok but if you plan to not be killed by second hand smoke and/or need to cook rather than eat out and waste money this is not the place for you

- Osibemekun (2/5): I should’ve read more about the booking - Not much
- Matt (8/5): This place was absolutely fine for our needs, and the communication was excellent. - Great location, perfectly located near Bethnal Green Tube and very close to Victoria Park. Comprehensive check-in instructions, and the owner replied to all our messages very quickly. We had to ask for the WiFi details, but again the reply was instant. The bed was quite comfortable and the room itself was very clean. The communal areas (kitchen, bathroom, toilet) were all clean and perfectly usable. Towels were provided, and the curtains blocked out most of the light. The shower was poor; it was really difficult to control the temperature, so the tiniest movement of the tap would change it from very cold to scalding hot. We were undisturbed for the majority of our trip, but the ceilings are very thin so every footstep above us could be clearly heard. This wasn't a problem, but if we'd had noisy neighbours then it could have been a nightmare!
- Yen (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (1/5): Abrupt cancellation and poor communication - I was given a prompt refund The property cancelled on me at 8pm on the day before travelling with no offer of alternative accomodation. They asked me to cancel then they would reimburse. I asked why i should cancel when it was them cancelling me. Suspect behaviour.
After booking a new hotel and complaining to Booking.com they were able to find me a place. Unnessecary stress before early morning travel and poor customer service.
- Justin (8/5): Very good - For central London great value for money.
- Vlad (8/5): Wonderful neightbourhood, close to the center - The neighborhood is quite close to the center, as it has access to Central line. You can also go ot the center by bike. And it's also close to a huge and beautiful park called Victoria Park. The streets of the neighborhood are very nice, with huge trees. There's also a kids museum near the Central line subway station. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, but there's a lively tavern 4-5 mins from the apartment.
So, I liked the neighborhood best.
About the apartment itself: it's nice that it has a fully stocked kitchen. Also, the bathroom has some soaps and shower gels probably left by previous guests. The whole apartment is very clean - rooms, bathrooms, kitchen. The room is quite small. Not a big problem but I mention it. I liked the fact that despite the room being rather small, there was a desk in the room, I could use my laptop just fine. The biggest problem in my opinion is that this is a shared apartment, so guests checkin late at night and leave in the morning. And there's no sound insulation so it's very likely that this wakes you up. Also the windows aren't fully insulated and there's quite a bit of noise in the morning.
- Shivam (1/5): Don't book - The property owner messaged me on the day of check-in "In the room you have booked, the previous guest left it unusable and we will provide another room of the same standard in the same area for you. I am sending photos and address details"
However, it did not match my requirements. So I had to book another accommodation. They didn't even refund the money. Huge loss.

Close proximity to city and easy access - Address stated on booking.com is different (its not 15 Approach Road, it is Reynolds House)
- Bathrooms are a bit dated/old, but still useable
- Cezar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nawal (7/5): Good - The area Matterass
