Guest Reviews
- Annie (1/5): It was rundown, and had mould in the bathroom. It was so bad, didn’t even spend the night and left for another hotel. W - Only the photos on booking.com Everything. The photos used were not accurate.
- Lam (1/5): Negative - The staff are very polite The property is in a very busy street, bars played music until 3am
Room is very old and the bathroom is very old…
We didn’t have a good experience with our stay
- Abdul (3/5): Poor -
- Vaid (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (3/5): Disappointing - Location was very central (but therefore quite noisy). Bed comfortable. Room quite small. Everything a bit tatty - chipped furniture, mosquito net curtains that didn’t close, gaps round windows etc.. TV was not working and took till 9pm on second (final) night for staff to get it working. We had been staying at Matilda hotel for 4 days previous and for only £5 a night more it was a world of difference.
- Layla (8/5): Very good -
- Samrat (10/5): it was amazing , staff was extremely helpful , and helped me a lot with my airport drop - the location is amazing , reception staff were amazing specially Miss Swift who helped me in an early check in . managed my half day city tour with water puppet show at amazing price and even helped me to open my door when i accidentally left my keys inside the room and the door got locked from outside. The hotel facilities are amazing with a spacious big room , big toilet with all toileteries and all facilities in room like closet, TV , coffee maker, water bottles, bed side lamp , small fridge fridge was not working. no Inhouse breakfast.
- Nolan (7/5): Good - I good location Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade a lot of things are really dated and old
- Jim (1/5): Overatted Hotel in Hanoi - 1. Floor is always clean.
2. Staffs are OK 1. Their CC TV is broken.
2. Someone from hotel stole my moneybag.
3. Have no restaurant. How hotel is operated without restaurant?
4. No space for gossip with stranger.
5. Their main business is SPA.
6. Have no printed invoice. They are shown very laziness to provide any type of invoices.
7. Overated in Agoda and Booking.Com
8. Worst balcony which is just for shown, not usable.
- Mai (3/5): Poor -
- Md (2/5): Very poor - Very bad experience
- Mohammad (9/5): Superb - Good location good service
- Caroline (5/5): Passable -
- Adi (8/5): Very nice & comfort stay - The service & location is very good, near Hanoi Old Quarter which is very lively, many shops, spas, & foods around.
The staffs can speak English fluently, also helpful & friendly especially Ms. Phuong Anh that so caring of us. Nothing less
- Glenda (5/5): Passable - Liked that we were moved to another hotel when we couldn't sleep for the noise. Staff were fantastic and organised it right away. Nice room and location. If you don't like a lot of noise, stay in the French Quarter It was a very noisy street close to a nightclubs full of backpackers. This doesn't stop until 6am.
Hotel has seen better days, was a bit tired looking. Just as we were after the first night
- Greta (7/5): Could do with updates! - Could do with updates, beds not very comfortable, noisy all night! We were on the top floor, and we could hear the rain on the roof but it sounded like it was dripping into room right over our heads!
- Mi.chael (8/5): Very good -
- Nolan (9/5): Superb -
- Augustus (4/5): Disappointing - Some of the friendliest staff with great English.
Fantastic location. Got a last minute room and it was on the ground floor, was very shabby and not like the photos of other rooms. Luckily we got this room at a last minute deal for a large discount but certainly wouldn't have been happy if we were charged full price. Perhaps the other rooms are nicer
- Phyo (1/5): I gave 1-star for the location but everything else is a misery. - Nothing. A lot! The actual condition of the rooms look nothing like the photos on Booking.com. No telephone in the room, the shower and toilet are pretty rundown, old and smelly bed, and loud noise and music till 2-3am as so-called the hotel is at popular beer street. Worst of all, the hotel has clearly not maintained the AC for many years as I spotted thick layer of dust inside!
If you’re arriving late in the evening, taxi can’t drop you at the hotel because the roads are closed for night market - you’ll have to drag your luggage to hotel and walk for 5-10 mins through crowded streets.
Long story short, avoid this hotel at all cost! You’ll find better ones elsewhere in same area.
- Mayank (10/5): Exceptional - everything i loved it
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Staff very helpful during the stay
- Travelmaxny (8/5): Very good - Wonderful staff and great location.
- Bruce (5/5): Good area - Location Disco noise ALL night
- Mitchell (6/5): Cheap and good location - Was cheap to stay so you get what you pay for. The location is great with a lot of shopping and food and bars at your doorstep. Rooms could use a bit of updating
- Teatske (7/5): Good -
- Jasmine (5/5): Loud and run down - The staff were friendly. Quite run down hotel in the middle of a very loud party street in Hanoi. Pictures don't match up to the description. Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and the shower didn't work properly. The location is right in the middle of a very loud party street which is great if that's what you're after but there's no barrier between the room and the noise. Not that cheap compared to what some places offer.
- Gus (7/5): All goodthanls - all good Thanks
- Sarah (3/5): First room was dirty, difficulty communicating with the staff, but second room was pleasant enough. - Good location, large comfortable bed Very dirty (mouldy grout, clumps of diet and hair on the bathroom floor), the internet didn’t work in the room, only out in the hall. The exhaust fan was a hole cut into the wall and it couldn’t be turned off, so it made noise all night. The mini bar had a bright light that couldn’t be turned off, disturbing our sleep. The air conditioner was filthy. It was covered in dust in the vent. We checked out after 1 night with the intention of moving to a new hotel. There was back and forth about the refund over the whole day. Eventually we just returned to the hotel and agreed to move into a different room. The new room was smaller than the old one as we paid for a deluxe room. Not only were they not going to refund the difference for the smaller room, they tried to charge me for a third night (even though we only stayed two) to pay for the second room that we moved into! I had to push back and refuse. After a lot of back and forth, eventually they refunded me the difference between the cost of the deluxe room and the room we actually stayed in the second night. The second room was much better than the first - clean, working wifi, and no janky exhaust hole cut into the wall. We would have been happy if we had the second room from the start.
- Antti (1/5): Terrible experience! - Friendly staff Room seemed nice in the pictures but the truth was a bit different. Area was really noicy because its near beer street which is the party place in Hanoi. There was no soundproofing. Actually there was an open window that you could not shut. There was no way that we could sleep there.
Finally we found BUGS in the room!! They were running on the floor, on the desk and on the wall…So we decided to leave at the midnight. Woman in the reception tried to convince us to change the room but we did not want to. So we had to pay the full price. But we were happy to pay that we could leave as fast as possible!
We totally do not recommend this hotel! Look for just a little bit more expensive hotels and good reviews. Skip this hotel and thank us!
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tahlor (8/5): Friendly helpful staff - This hotel is perfectly situated for food and markets, a short stroll will take you to the lake and railway cafes. The bed was comfortable, the room had a window and good lighting and the staff were soo friendly and helpful. No fault to the hotel but construction next door starts early in the morning.
- Nolan (9/5): Superb - Location was great
- Nile (9/5): Nice place to transit. - The staff Anh is very nice lady, super helpful! The location also great, near Beer street :) The restaurant downstairs is smelly
- Sebastian (7/5): Warm welcome with great hospitality and in the midst of the Old Quarter - The location is really central of the old quarter, so everything close and available. Note that it’s quite touristy, which is great for convenience. Also, we encountered some confusion about the actual rooms which were not as advertised on booking. Therefore we talked to the hotel manager, whom found a reasonable solution in the form of compensation. Vietnam is really picking itself up again after covid, so with changes of hotel owners and staff some problems arise. However, here they are fully aware and they strive for utmost hospitality. That’s memorable and absolutely pleasant. My appreciation. There is some construction going on next to the hotel which started extremely early morning, so unfortunately noisy at this time.
- Mirai (6/5): Pleasant - Very reasonable price. Bars around the hortel were loud, so I could hear the beats in my room.
- Anh (10/5): Great staff, nice location and amazing service - I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay here in Old Quarter Hanoi. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and attentive staff, particularly Ly at the reception, made my experience exceptional. Ly went above and beyond to assist with tour bookings, offer local recommendations, and ensure all my needs were met.
The room was spacious, with prompt and efficient resolution of any requests.
The hotel's location allowed easy access to restaurants and bars. I highly recommend Memory Premier Hotel and Spa for its outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location in the heart of Hanoi.
- Claire (3/5): Save your money, go somewhere else - Staff were nice Room was not as advertised at all as seen in my photos compared to the advertised room, bed was make shift fold up frame, room had two very small windows and smelt musty. Our room was located on the ground floor and was along a corridor full of boxes of stock for the hotel also beside the fire alarm panel which woke us at 6am beeping. Large shower head didn’t work and small one fell out of the holder when switched on, no hook in the bathroom so have to stack everything around the sink with then got soaked when showering. The room felt like it had been partially renovated but they’d rushed or given up actually completing it, door had chunks missing and walls need repairing and painted. Staff never offered or mentioned cleaning the room or gave us the WiFi password, which didn’t reach the room anyway. Overall this is the most disappointing place we stayed in all of Vietnam!
- Jody (6/5): Pleasant -
- Luangsithideth (9/5): Superb -
- Anh (9/5): Superb -
- H (5/5): Passable -
- Edwina (7/5): The location is really great - The location is great . Nothing
- Nguyễn (4/5): Disappointing :) - The location is good, but it's very noisy during the night-time (maybe because the sound-proof of the room is not good enough). The staff wasn't helpful, and at times I felt like I was mistreated. I booked 2 nights. Right before I checked in, they asked to transfer me to 92 Tran Nhat Duat branch because they had the maintenance issue in 52 Ma May branch, with the promise of upgrading my room to deluxe. But after the first night, they asked me to move back to 52 Ma May, and again, with the promise of upgrading to a 'very large and nice room with city view and a balcony', but then they said there was an issue with that room and instead assigned me a more than basic room (a small, old room with some strange bugs and overlooking a messy construction site). They said sorry but did nothing to improve the situation or at least discounted my room fee. They promised to move my luggage to the new branch but didn't do it until midnight. Overall, it's disappointing experience and much worse than the feedbacks that I read on the site before booking this hotel. I wish that the staff had been more responsible and more professional, or at least just been more honest and more guest-driven in their actions.
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - Nice hôtel perfecto location and very Nice people
- Pubordee (5/5): Passable - Location, Front desk staffs Room, Toilet
- Amato (9/5): Superb -
- Thi (1/5): Horrible - They canceled my booking in the last minutes right before I wanted to checked in. I could not find the place to stay and this is a very horrible experience.
- Sandeep (8/5): Good place to stay - Good location in good price Good location
- Nikita (5/5): Passable - good people, receptionists, hall room needs renovation. very bad condition. balcony is dirty
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Archie (6/5): Alright - Location was excellent. The lobby is nice and staff are friendly. Bed very comfy and air con very good Didn’t look like photos. Door was kinda broken. Water stopped for a little while. It’s a bit noisy from the bars outside
- Frederik (9/5): Superb -
- Kea (5/5): not great - location was good the hotel hasn’t been maintained. the rooms are very old, cracks in the wall and damaged furniture. the toilet and shower were leaking water.
The vibrations on the wall and noise from the club next door, went on until 3am
- Jody (9/5): Superb - Great location. The room was a bit outdated and had a ceiling light that was broke and out of place.
- Dirin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (3/5): Good location but rooms look nothing like the photo - Good location Looks nothing like the pictures, room very dated and bathroom didn’t feel clean. Not even sure if there was anyone else staying in the hotel, we only stayed as a stop over after the Ha Giang Loop, wouldn’t recommend as a long term stay

- Kasia (7/5): Good centric location! - Very good location but very noisy at night due to the clubs situated next to the hotel. The reception staff is very nice and helpful. The awful cat pee smell at the reception and lobby. They need to work a little bit about the cleanliness in general (rooms and common areas).Toilet in the lobby was always dirty like a street WC.

- J (2/5): Am glad i just booked for one night, if i had reached a bit early in evening i would have let go of this room and stayed - Location Smells of cigar and mould
There is hair all over bathroom
Yellow stains on bathroom floor
- Alexandre (3/5): Poor - Staff tried to accomodate my arrival from the airport the best they could .
The staff came to get me since the car couldnt go at the hotel, but could stop near . I was able to get a refund after spending a night there and went somewhere else . Upon arrival, many problems already arose . First, they gave me a key to a room already occupied. The lobby and hallways smelled like cat litter.
The room had a lot of damage and holes in the walls and the door . The shower had piss stains and the shower was leaking outside. The area was really noisy . So it was hard to sleep.the Wifi was not even strong enough to work in my room. I had to stay in the lobby to use it .
- Toni.nguyen (9/5): Superb - The receptionist is very friendly and nice. She helped me a lot when checkin and checkout, even she suggested to me some places to go. And Phuong Anh is a beautiful lady. She attracted me with her smile. The cleaning is not good enough for me.
- Adam (7/5): Good -
