• Joginder (10/5): - This property is a rare gem in the heart of Athens with all monuments, shopping, restaurants, all tourist spots and attractions within walking distance. The house has been tastefully & professionally decorated, remodeled including all the high end modern appliances. Alex (the host) was very responsive promptly. The house has preserved a piece of history: a floor visible thru glass in the floor and basement that was 2000 years old, preserved very aesthetically. We were 7 people and all of us were highly impressed with the layout and functionally very useful. If we ever go to Athens we would choose the same property. Everything was perfect; therefore, no negatives.

Parking in Athens is a challenge! But that has nothing to do with the accommodation.

The entrance hall with the covered mosaic was so lovely, I used it to do yoga and it made it really special. The location is right in the tourist area but tucked away. Fabulous accommodation and host. I’d love to return.

It was an incredible space with so many thoughtful additions. ______ really thought through everything someone may want or need in a house when visiting Plaka, Athens, Greece. From the beautiful outside design to the tastefully decorated interior, it was a dream to stay at En Plaka! The bedrooms all had an en suite bathroom, and the kitchen was well stocked. So many thoughtful touches - snacks, coffee, cold beverages in the fridge, as well as, cooking supplies, seasonings, dish soap, and trash bags… seriously, anything and everything we needed was available to us at the house. Not to mention the Roman tile and other ancient artifacts so well preserved and presented for guests to enjoy. The location was perfect! Such a walkable area, and so close to everything!! But the biggest most significant compliment I can give, was Alexandros' honesty, trustworthiness, and willingness to go out of his way to meet our taxi driver at a location on our way to the airport after I forgot my necklace - which is the most sentimental piece of jewelry I own (besides my wedding rings). I was in tears, Alexandros did not hesitate to speak to our driver, discuss a meeting point, hop on his motorbike and rush over to meet us. I offered him cash, but he declined to take it. I am so grateful to him for being honest and sacrificing his time to get my necklace to me, and I will always remember it! En Plaka is, by far, the best place to stay while in Athens, Greece! I would definitely stay there anytime I visit Athens, Greece in the future and would highly recommend it to my friends and family, and anyone considering visiting Athens.

My family and I had a fantastic stay, easy to walk to all the must see sites, comfortable to come home to, and the owners were extremely helpful and lovely. Just wish we could have stayed longer! Tucked away on a quiet side street but thirty steps away from all the shops and restaurants you could ever hope for. Comfortable walking distance to all of the best attractions without ever having to get in a taxi. And the house itself is amazingly over-built with high quality furnishings and craftsmanship. Separate washer AND dryer units came in super handy after our island hopping Odyssey - no more drying racks yay! The beautifully incorporated Roman mosaic tile along with the electronic storm shutters and bank vault digital entry door make it feel like your own private modern villa fortress at the foot of the Acropolis! There is no vehicle access to the front door so transport pickup/drop off is around the corner at a nice little restaurant with an outdoor dining space. The alleyway is open and flat with no stairs so easy access for strollers and suitcases.

The apartment was spacious, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. We were four friends traveling together, and it was absolutely perfect and so comfortable for us. • Jessica (10/5): Exquisite accommodation, fabulous host and a Roman mosaic - what more could you want! - Exquisite This is without doubt the best and most beautiful accommodation in Athens. It is so apparent that Alexandros has lavished an enormous amount of care on this beautiful building and that his attention to detail is second to none. The attention to care shows in the quality of the finish and fabulous facilities and craftsmanship. We (two family groups of three) enjoyed every moment of staying in the house. The location is fabulous - right in the heart of Plaka and peaceful and tranquil at the same time. Alexandros ensured that there is everything you could need - simple things like washing up liquid to exceptionally lovely toiletries and use of a washing machine and dryer. Beautiful lighting, bluetooth speakers for music, comfortable sofas, spacious dining, lovely crockery and glassware. The beds are beyond comfortable. The decor is so tasteful and considered. I’ve come away feeling the need to update my house - and will be stealing a couple of interior design ideas from Alexandros’s place (the beautiful wood stairs/banister, the concealed stair lights, the opaque pocket doors to the dressing areas and bathrooms). The MOSAIC - oh my goodness, what a privilege and joy! Obviously Athens is steeped in heritage but having the Roman mosaic in the house was spine tingling tangible (madness to think that the family that installed that flooring would have walked through Hadrian’s arch (500m away) when it was new!). It is fabulous. The exterior of the house is equally fabulous and we would often return to the house to find little mini photos sessions happening with the house as a backdrop. Alexandros is a brilliant host - he answered questions prior to arrival, sorted airport transfers and kept in touch. His suggestions for eating out and bars were brilliant and definitely the nicest places we tried. If you are reading this review trying to decide if this is the place to stay - hesitate no longer, book it - it will be the best thing you do.

Everything was beyond imagination: the rooms, the design, the tranquility, the location. Every time we left the house, we saw people taking pictures of the house from the outside because it was so beautiful – and it was even more beautiful on the inside. Spacious and large rooms, an amazing kitchen, balconies, and a private yard – more than we could have ever imagined. Alexander the host was available for anything, helped us with any questions about the area, and with any questions we had before and during our stay. Highly recommended!
