Guest Reviews
- Matthews (8/5): Enjoyed the tiny house experience - Peaceful location, well equipped tiny house, comfortable bed Although I’m used to a portable toilet as I camp often I would prefer a compostable toilet rather than the toilet provided. Space was great for one person.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Sara (6/5): Cosy sweet little Tiny. - Lovely and private area where it is parked. Cosy. The material hanging from ceiling made it feel smaller and closed in. Window on bedroom wouldn’t fully close and it was cold at night. There is a heater but we felt bad running it all night with a window open!
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (7/5): Thank you Jimmy. You turned the weekend around and we loved our stay in the eco house 🏠 - Unique compact accomodation for a short stay. Lovely deck to end the day or stargaze from. Some hiccups with the accomodation schedule meant the house was not reset between guests when we arrived by host Jimmy went above and beyond to rectify after hours.
- Yap (9/5): Superb -
- Sheena (10/5): Exceptional -
- B'elanna (10/5): Exceptional - The view was beautiful
- Kawana (10/5): Exceptional - I just loved the place. I was looking for a place to be alone and relax and Tiny house was the perfect place for that. James and Kaddi were super attentive and there to answer any questions. Kaddi even made a wonderful lemonade as a courtesy.
The place exceeded my expectations. It's super comfortable and has all the utensils I needed. I can't say enough about the view. I arrived and it was raining, but at the end of the day I was treated to an incredible sunset.
I would definitely come back if I could.
- Gill (8/5): Very good -
- Lecia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (4/5): Disappointing - The view Air con wasn't turned on before we arrived and it was very hot.
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavin (4/5): Disappointing - The Scerenity Was not what it was advertised as lots of things left out of description
- Laura (10/5): Super friendly host, tranquil surrounds, super clean & the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud! - Super friendly host, tranquil surrounds, super clean & the bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud!
- Karishma (10/5): Exceptional - Place was very organised
- Darryl (8/5): Nice peaceful stay - Close to town but very quiet A little bit of maintenance would be good
We prefer fresh air to aircon but a lot of the windows and doors were difficult to open or lock
- Lisa (5/5): Passable - I think it needs to be disclosed that there is a family living in another tiny home no more than 20 meters from the accomodation and although there may be need for security cameras the fact that they are everywhere around the tiny home and even on you while you sit on the verandah i did not feel comfortable.
- Patrick (3/5): The location was wonderful but the tiny house didn’t look like the docked pictures on booking - The views were great. Great location. There was no table to eat at inside, had to try & bring in outdoor table in rain. The sink was so high I had to be on tiptoes to wash up. Had to brush teeth in kitchen sink. The door didn’t lock properly on the inside, the toilet wasn’t emptied from last people & was close to full when we left. The appliances (stove, washing machine, dryer )were all too big for tiny house. They could put laundry items in a shed for all visitors to use and would give so much more space.
- Fone (9/5): Superb - Wonderful views over a sublime valley!
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Lovely views and close to town
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful views Little bit too squishy around the beds but to be expected in a tiny home.
- Prosser (9/5): Superb - The mountain views at Sunset 🌇
Very great photos 📸 All good..
- Pamela (8/5): Very good - The view and the coziness. Patio needs a cover. Power cords should be weatherproof outdoor leads, not indoor leads taped together. No teapot.
- Ted (10/5): Exceptional - James is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Great communication and made sure everything was in order and kept on top of my very unreasonable arrival time. For those bringing along their 2 hour Ritz-Carlton shower/spa routine, I think you'll be better served elsewhere. The shower will do you a lavishly long 15 minute hot shower easily - be nice to the environment. For those who stink out the cabin, read the instructions and learn to use the toilet properly, it has a sealing lever. The fact that there is a washer and dryer is just incredible - that alone puts it above most properties out there. Yes it could have some shade on the deck. Ventilation could be a bit difficult - one exhaust fan, and one that didn't work. The windows aren't meant to be opened easily but given the pristine surrounds it'd be nice to be able to do this. I only stayed one night and the whole morning was misty so I did not get to appreciate the view. I guess it's a reason to return!
- Ostorga (7/5): It was okay but could be so much better - Views Accommodation was a bit dated, could do with a renovation, there were ants in the kitchen that ruined my food.
- Raphael (7/5): Nice view but not private. - We like the view, with the sunset. There is another home 5m away from our, there was a drone flying above us during the first evening, so not very private.
There was also someone using a chainsaw nearby which made it quite loud when we arrived.
The autonomous toilet were very stinky after we did our first bio need, there wasn't a pump to clean the bowl with water or so, so it stinks as soon as we open the lid the next time we needed to go.
Shower wasn't very warm.
- Veronica (7/5): Nice getaway - Loved the location Would have loved there to be firewood there even if it was built into the price.
- Selina (8/5): This isn’t 5 star luxury accommodation (& the price reflects that) but it’s perfect if you don’t need all the bells - I had a lovely little stay in this tiny home! It was a very last minute decision, I just needed some fresh mountain air & an overnight getaway. Booking & checking in was easy, the hosts provided great directions to get to the property. Kaddi met me on arrival & later brought over a brand new fire pit for me to break in, which I happily did that night while sipping wine & toasting marshmallows. The views are wonderful & the location is very handy to Montville town centre should you need groceries, fire wood etc. After reading some other reviews I was a bit nervous about having such a short warm shower, especially in the middle of Winter - but I was pleasantly surprised at how hot it got & the amount of time it stayed at that temperature! This isn’t 5 star luxury accommodation but it’s perfect if you don’t need all the bells & whistles. The only suggestion I have is maybe including a blanket you can take outside in the Winter (I wanted to enjoy the fresh air but didn’t want to take the bed doona outside)
- Hollie (6/5): Overall great views and close location to Montville. - Spectacular view and definitely cosy as described. Close in distance to drive to the Montville main st which was super handy. Definitely not suited to my low set car, especially given it had rained and the track in was very muddy and a bit bumpy. Had a little difficulty finding it but was sent the coordinates which was very helpful. Some facilities unavailable which I wasn’t aware of in advance but attempts to cater for such were made. Upon arrival, other people were looking around the property which made it a little bit uncomfortable trying to get myself set up, especially as a solo traveller.
- Danielle (4/5): Disappointing - The house had great hinterland views, a camping toilet, a 5-litre hot shower, and kitchen facilities. Airconditioner for heating in the bedroom only. This did not meet the advertised expectations. Difficult to find, not private with another tiny home metres away with a family permanently living there. Wet shower mat on the floor, smells like incense, this was not a comfortable night away and we were told that we needed to bring our own firewood after we arrived.
- Dominic (7/5): Good - No stove top working but was stated in the add that there was one.
- Werner&siyarat (9/5): Superb -
- Hazel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kathrine (1/5): Extremely dissapointing, only thing going for it is the view. Didnt end up staying, we left after ten minutes and drive - Nothing The presentation and quality of the property was under par. Looked nothing like the photos online. Very much misrepresented. There was a wet shower mat on the floor, mould on window frames, mould in fridge seal, looked like sheets had not been changed, half used condiments on bench and in fridge. Just to mention a-few things
- Clare (1/5): Bad - Good location, beautiful views Power didn’t work for the entire stay, spent over 20 minutes on the phone trying to sort it with the owner.
We had to eat & shower with the torches on our phones.
Driveway not suitable for small cars, multiple large holes that were almost unavoidable.
The owner knew the power wasn’t working prior to our arrival, but failed to let us know.
This was disappointing.
- Md (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): Great for solo travellers. - Spectacular views. Restful location.
- Melissa (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing ☺️ - Great location and amazing view.
- Naomi (10/5): It was just not long enough! - The views were incredible, everything was clean and tidy and super cosy just like it says. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Overall a fantastic stay and great value for money. Will stay again. - spectacular views and privacy An awning or umbrella over the deck
- Jenny (7/5): Great for our short stay. - Views were amazing. Tiny house was very clean and compact. We think it would be more comfortable with an awning or cover over the tiny house.
- Angela (5/5): The website provided options for different prices. I chose the most expensive price thinking we would be in a better pos - View and outdoor fire No shade, power kept cutting out. Oven didn’t work and we had brought food to cook in it.
- Ingrid (9/5): Superb - Private, spectacular views. Bed was very comfy, we had a nice sleep. First time to use a portable potti, quite uncomfortable but its part of staying in a tiny house, nothing wrong with it.
- Smith (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rosie (9/5): Sisters weekend - The view was amazing. Great facilities in the house. There was a lot of "stuff " that you would never use for this type of accommodation. Seemed like it was almost somewhere to store unused things.
- Blair (4/5): The beautiful photos shown unfortunately do not represent the discomfort the cabin provided us. - The view and location. And, the person who answered the phone and showed the cabin were friendly. Cheap incense was used to make it fresh, but it was unbearable. There is zero shade, so the cabin cops the full sun. The cabin was steaming hot and did not cool down even with the air-con on. I was told to have very quick showers. The toilet is a porta-potti, which is ok, however, there was no toilet brush. So I had to hand wipe the skid marks off with toilet paper. Using too much electricity shorted out the circuits. Needed to switch it back on.
- Maxx (10/5): Cosy and peaceful - It was a great place to disconnect and unwind I could not work out how to make the shower stay warm for more than 30seconds at a time.. I know there was a sign about hot water usage but 30seconds didn’t seem right
honestly was so warm I preferred the cold water. Probably just need some instructions maybe ?
- Kylie (10/5): Loved our little getaway and would go again. - Loved the location and it was very comfortable.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Tallin (9/5): Superb -
- Nhat (9/5): Superb - The view is amazing. The owner is very reponsive. We did have a great night at their accomodation.
- Nick (10/5): Perfect off grid getaway, highly recommended - Great location close to Montville, amazing views and cozy, off grid atmosphere Nothing, it was great
- Jarred (7/5): Good -
- Vicki (5/5): Not very professional and was a little disappointed - It was a cute and clean little house with a lovely view. There was plenty of added extras in the kitchen and was well set out When we arrived the lady wasn’t expecting us (even though had to give them an estimated time of arrival and it was confirmed). She was also doing a friends washing in our house. She then packed up gave us a quick tour and asked us NoT to use the aircon as they are eco friendly!!!!
The tv reception was terrible only channel 10 worked. We were hoping to watch the football ( Bronco supporters)
The worst part was when I went to have a shower and the hot water ran out after less than a minute. I already had shampoo in my hair !! So I went to bed shivering. My partner tried to have a shower in the morning and the same happened to him.
- Erika (8/5): Very good -
- Glen (7/5): Good first experience overall. Probably wouldn't do it again 'tho. - Spectacular views. Good fire-pit/BBQ. Driveway not small-car friendly. Like being in a (large) caravan. 30 second hot shower limit not so great in winter!
- Maria (10/5): Great place to spend the weekend and relax! - Views and accomodation were awesome! As we didn’t have utensils to turn on the bbq outside, we had to cook everything on the microwave and we struggled a bit but overall not a problem
