Beautiful property, friendly host, lovely common space to hang and enjoy morning coffee. Still shocked at the price being so low! A little bit noisy at night, but for being so close to the city and not a main road. It is quieter than most places. I’ve stayed anywhere in Costa Rica. I almost always use your plugs anywhere in this country and I didn’t need them here. Depends what you’re used to.

• Kay Langenberg (9/5): - Sehr hübsche B&B-Unterkunft. Ich hatte das Zimmer mit Balkon und Hängematte, was mir sehr gefallen hat. Das Bad ist etwas rustikal. Die Unterkunft ist nicht ganz zentral, aber mit Uber ist man recht schnell im Zentrum von San José. Das kleine Zentrum von Escazú ist fußläufig erreichbar - dort bekommt man auch alles. Das Frühstück habe ich einmal genommen und fand es zu teuer für das, was geboten wird. Ansonsten stimmt aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

El trato de la sra Lourdes, fue muy amable y dispuesta a aclarar dudas. Me gusta que te entregan las llaves de las puertas principales, asi puedes llega a la hora que quieras. Mi habitacion tenia un balcon con hamaca y vistas a la terraza, me encanto. El desayuno muy rico y completo, por un costo adicional. a 200 metros tienes un restaurante muy bueno de comida criolla. Es un hospedaje sencillo pero comodo. En mi caso, los prefiero asi.

• Annegret (8/5): Der beste Start in der wuseligen Start San José! - Gute Unterkunft zum Start (oder Abschluß) des Urlaubs. Nur 20 min vom Flughafen entfernt mit sicherem Privatparkplatz im Grundstück. Sauberes Zimmer und ein fantastisches Frühstück im niedlichen Garten. Der Besitzer Otto kommt aus Österreich und ist super nett. Wir durften sogar sein selbst entwickeltes Spiel mit ihm ausprobieren, gibt gute Tipps für die Umgebung. Das Studio liegt an einer steilen Straße wodurch man die Motorräder auch nachts sehr laut aufheulen hört.

• Liliana Verónica (10/5): Estancia tranquila y barrio seguro de Escazú - Recomiendo este B&B. La hospitalidad de Otto y Bárbara fue lo mejor de todo. El lugar es una casa muy bien cuidada con jardín muy lindo y entorno natural. Tiene 2 habitaciones en el segundo piso y me quedé en una de ellas (tiene otras abajo) con baño privado. Todo muy cómodo y la casa siempre en silencio (es para una estancia tranquila). Se escucha un poco los autos de la calle, pero en la noche duermes bien. Me quedé dos días y me moví hacia todas partes en Uber, que funciona fantástico. Está ubicado en un buen barrio, seguro. Bárbara me contactó con una agencia y ayudó a reservar una excursión de medio día al volcán Irazú. Volvería a hospedarme aquí sin duda 😀 La ducha se tapaba un poco, pero nada terrible.

• Sequoia (10/5): A beautiful Sanctuary in the big city - As we stepped into Tierra Magica, there was a gentle breeze with a sweet calmness surrounded by beautiful gardens, lovely architecture and divine earthy art. The room was impecable with a great shower in a beautifully designed solarium and I loved that the room had a fridge! The Breakfast was excellent in a beautiful courtyard. Wonderful staff, very attentive. The only thing that I didn't like was the sound of traffic in our room, as it was the closest room to the road. At least the traffic was only during the day and quiet at night.

• Claire (8/5): Perfect Pitstop - We booked Tierra Magica as a pit stop after landing at SJ airport, before heading down to Manuel Antonio. The view from the balcony, service and breakfast was fantastic. There's a large seating area downstairs should you want a space to relax outside of your room. The room is a little basic, could do with a freshen up but was fine for a night. The parking area was tight (maybe psychological as we'd only just picked up the hire car!), but secure behind gates which gave peace of mind.

It was an easy walk to shops in Escazu and the garden and breakfast area were welcoming. This may become one of our go-to hotels to stay at when we're in the San Jose area.

• Sergey (7/5): Only as a place to stay, for one night - A pleasant, in some places unusual place! The thing I didn't like most was going out into the living room in the morning "as my mother gave birth to me", going to the window and seeing my neighbor in the apartment on the balcony through the transparent glass! Unfortunately, it turned out only in the morning that we had a common living room! And I left my car keys, all my documents, wallet, credit cards in this living room! When I asked the owner: "What was that?", the answer was exhaustive: "I thought you knew". Be careful, the apartment "has a surprise" There is no kitchen in the apartment, only a coffee maker on the ground floor, the only amenities in the apartment are a micro-fridge.
• Cheryl (8/5): Very good - The hosts are friendly & helpful. It’s a vintage casa with colorful gardens and unique art displays. My room and bed were very comfortable, overlooking the private garden & tall trees where many birds visit. The location is a short walk to old Escazu, but traffic around town has grown since my visit last year. Unfortunately, the B&B, on a busy route, receives more noise.

Difficult access to get by your own car because narrow streets and lots of traffic in Escazú. You have to get out of your car if you need to open the main gate because you need to enter the house to press the button to open it. Absolutely not functional during rainy season.

• Carson (10/5): Amazing hosts, beautiful hotel and great location. - Lovely people and location. The owners give very individualized and kind care to their guests. Being my first time in Costa Rica I felt very safe and like I could ask anything. The hotel is beautiful, infused with art from Barbara, the co-owner along with her husband Otto. The food and French pressed coffee, for a reasonable price, was delicious. The front rooms have more traffic noise but are big. The back garden rooms are smaller but mostly quiet and one has a lovely balcony with a hammock, The Sol room.

The place is very homely and welcoming, and the room was cosy with fantastic garden views. If you're on a working vacation, the wifi is great and there's plenty of desk space and common areas to work in such as a beautiful little courtyard and deck out back (decked out with beautiful fairy lights – plus there are lamps in every room, which is amazing if you're weird about overhead lighting like me...) When I needed a safety pin for my dress or corkscrew for my wine, Otto dug one out. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay :) Nothing! Was sad to leave.
