- melanie johnston-smalley (8/5): - Great size & location Not easy to access keys from next door with luggage as a solo traveller
- Adam (1/5): Do Not Stay Here - Nothing. Climbed up steps for no reason. Turned up at the accommodation at 5.45pm on Wednesday Evening. Had a Christmas Party and Meetings that evening. Only to be told by the accommodation that there was a glitch which led to a double booking, which meant I had no accommodation. Owners should have told me straight away that there was a double glitch in the system. Meant I had to find alternative accommodation at a greater expense. Nothing from the owners since they sent me a message about the glitch.
- grasso (8/5): - No funcionaba el wifi
- Sujana (6/5): Good location. Only spent a night in property as I was in central London for an event. We were told we could drop our it - Properly was clean and tidy. Very spacious . All outlets not working. Lights working but no outlets were working meaning no kettle, lamp and was not able to charge electric devices during the stay.

- Jennifer (1/5): Shocking service - Nothing Booked a stay late after being let down, property have charged me £319 for denying my request to stay which I have proof of and sent them the proof of the chat in an email. I have contacted them multiple times and booking.com to no avail. The property ignores you and booking.com say they've charged you a cancellation fee which is ridiculous, seems though they denied my request to stay! I would not book this property again
- Matthew (6/5): Well located & good value. - Good location It was clean but felt unclean. I think it needs some investment and updating the interior. Like the sofa for example was very marked and stained, but I’m sure technically clean. I know it’s central London but the external windows were filthy, could hardly see out of them.
- Diane (9/5): Superb - Layout, comfortable, All OK.
- Meifang (1/5): Nightmare - Please ensure that the bed sheets and toilets in the room are clean when guests check in.
- Alan (9/5): Very convenient location in the heart of London - Clean, location, well equipped Nothing
- Josephine (5/5): Sorry, i could rate higher than 5 as i did not enjoy my sleep at all! - Not applicable The apartment location is very accessible to most of the areas i needed to go. I am a light sleeper person and the 2 nights i stayed i did not sleep at all. The outside noise is too loud all night long. There are loads of people shouting outside and there seems to have a car racing as i can hear the cars on full blast noise. I usually put my ear plugs when sleeping but it did not work for 2 nights! The apartment could have been better if there is a noice cancellation windows or whatever.
- Cathleen (8/5): Great location. Can’t go wrong if you are going to be out & about all day. - Location Wrong code at check in to retrieve keys.
- Kimberley (1/5): Property should be removed from Booking.com - Nothing. Host cancelled my stay with no notice as I arrived at the property on a date that all hotels were fully booked. I was unfortunately unable to find accommodation and had to get a flight home, cancelling my trip.
- Louise (6/5): Brilliant location. - The location is fab - a few minutes walk to the underground, right beside leicester square & theatres etc. Me & 3 friends shared the apartment & the space was fine for us 4, however I think it is probably more suitable for a couple. 2 of us slept on the sofa bed. While we were there we needed more toilet roll & there was no issue in the host having more delivered. The building is quiet & was safe & secure. The apartment was generally clean. The price for the location is good. As the apartment is on a busy street, it is very noisy at night & until the early hours of the morning. We were woken many times throughout the night & we didn't sleep until after midnight. Although given the location you would expect it to be noisy.
I feel that the shower was a little grubby & there was no mattress protector on the bed which I feel it definitely needs for hygiene reasons.
- Matilda (7/5): Good -
- Maximiliano (1/5): Bad -
- Anna (6/5): Good location but lacking in upkeep and noisy at night. - It was in a good central location. Easy walking distance to the places we wanted to visit in London. It was very loud in the evenings. Many loud cars and people outside all hours of the night. Not very soundproof. The shower and bathroom sink drains need to be cleaned as they did not drain and we see from past reviews this has been ongoing for months. There were no tea towels in kitchen. The door to retrieve the key was stuck and very difficult to open. This was not fixed by landlords and they did not help us when we messaged upon arrival. The landlords did text to say they would get maintenance to look at this but they did not as we had the same issue two days later when we checked out. The TV did not work either. There were stains on the couch.
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional - Really cute, very well located and very comfortable.
Kitchen is quite complete so it's quite useful. Plus really close to an underground. 4 of us stayed here and managed to sleep quite alright. Only thing I'd add is a full body length mirror but obviously this is nothing major. The place is amazing as is.
- Paul (10/5): fantastic location, flexible host and very accomodating - the property is a great location and great value for money!
- Pascal (10/5): Clean apartment in fantastic location - The location is simply fantastic. We stayed there for two nights. Everything was neat and clean and all towels, soap etc. provided. The apartment is literally 3mins walk from Picadilly Circus Station, and many attractions are within walking distance. Self check-in was easy. The elevator was still under maintenance, but that kept us fit ;-)
- Rafael (7/5): Save money…but bear the consequences :) - Nice apartment, great location (close to main city attractions) Noisy (one of the windows was not closing properly and the apartment was close to night clubs), the escalator was broken, and not that family friendly (you could see a strip club from the window)…
- Amy (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (7/5): Great property once the renovations are all completed and the lift works. - Location is fantastic - right in the heart of the theatre district and walking distance to many things, The lift was not working all week (is being renovated) and the stairwells are being renovated and I was not advised of this before arriving at the property. The room was on the 4th floor and had to walk my large case and bags up by foot - not an easy task and up and down 4 floors each time in and out of the property. This should have been advised and perhaps some refund offer made.
- Malcolm (8/5): Great stuff - Its location and cleanliness The 75 steps.
- Craig (1/5): Not good - Apartment 11 was ok but apartment 10 no cooking facilities no microwave and no oven ?
- Eliza (9/5): Perfect location in the heart of London - Location location location! Light and airy apartment in the heart of London. Everything was great the only thing it was lift broken or under repairs (which wasn’t mentioned in the listing) 72 steps to climb to the apartment, definitely wouldn’t be suitable for less fit person. But other than that it was super!
- Graham (5/5): ok if your desperate - Central location, good to see the sights nearby and shopping if you like that. Complete apartment for use, near to the underground. Confused when the address on Booking.com says 33 Haystacks, that is where you collect the keys from, the accommodation is actually 35 Haystacks above the steak house.
It was on the 3rd floor, the lift was out of order, due to refurbishment, this was not mentioned at all on the listing. This meant a 70, yes i counted them, step hike each time. Lucky for me i am healthy and fit but for others this would have easily been a show stopper.
The door to the apartment looks to have been forced a number of times. The only working lock was flimsy and could easily be opened with a plastic card so not very secure. there was no dead lock key that fitted the additional lock. There was a key but it didn't fit.
The area was noisy till about midnight and there was only standard double glazing. I had to fiddle with the left window catch to get it to close, someone with out DIY knowledge would have struggled to get it closed. The living room blinds could not be closed at all and the mass of street light advertising boards ensured the apartment was well lit at all times.
I had to ask for additional toilet rolls as only 2 small part used ones where provided.
The bed, though appeared clean, did not have a mattress protector on and the sheet barely covered the mattress.
Shower drain cover is broken and if the cover is over it will cause the water to stay in the tray and not go down the trap.
The floor is a bit tatty in places from a poor repair i suspect.
It is generally worn with lots of empty boxes in cupboards
- Danielle (1/5): Will not return! - The ONLY thing good about this apartment is the location - very central, near Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Chinatown etc. 1. Poor communication from host. They whatsapp'ed check in instructions but did not respond to me throughout my stay until checkout through another number.
2. The building was under maintenance and the lift wasn't working. No workmen came to work on the building throughout our 4 night stay so I doubt it'll be fixed any time soon. The apartment (#11) is on the 3rd floor so it was a struggle with our big bags.
3. There were 3 of us and the 3rd person had to sleep on a couch/sofa-bed in the living room. There was a sheet over the stained couch. No blanket or proper pillows. I ended up having to buy a blanket!
4. The drainage in the shower was poor and would flood every time someone used the shower
5. The noise at night! To be expected because of the location but it was more noisy than expected; even at 3am!
- Fabrice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daragh (4/5): Good location, poor experience. - Location. The instructions to collect the keys were inaccurate and difficult to understand. A generic street name was referred to instead of the precise location. When I contacted them for assistance I was met with an extremely inpatient and hostile woman, who attempted to blame me for their inaccurate directions and address.
This hostile welcome made me concerned about the stay, so I did not leave anything valuable there when I was out.
When I was leaving I asked them where they wanted me to leave the key, upon receiving no answer, I left the key on the countertop and left.
I then received a call and text messages from an unknown foreign number asking me where the key was and that they couldn't find it, again attempting to blame me. I thought something like this may happen so I had taken a photo of the keys on the counter, and sent it to the sender of that message.
- Michael (1/5): Awful - The only redeeming feature of this apartment is the central location. Everything else is terrible. The only redeeming feature of this apartment is the central location. Everything else is terrible.
- Lizzie (8/5): The flat was a great location, the staff very helpful and was a good price. Thanks - Good price and great location, great staff. Could do with better cover/curtain on the windows.
- Muntele (10/5): Exceptional - This apartment is nice, cosy and well equipped. Breakfast or dinner can be prepared in. Walking distance to all facilities, metro station, bus, shops, park, museums, cinema, theatre, restaurants. Location is fabulous. Really worth the money. We did enjoy our stay and we gladly reccomend it. The lift and the wi-fi password didn't work
- Paul (9/5): Loved it - Location and comfort No LG mirror lift broke and blind broke quite loud but lovely
