Guest Reviews
- Joe (8/5): Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we’d happily recommend it to other families visiting Brisbane. Thank you again f - Great family-friendly stay – thoughtful host
We had a wonderful stay at Karen’s property - Spire Residence in Brisbane. The apartment was very well prepared for a family travelling with small kids, and the little details made a big difference to our comfort.
One thing we really appreciated was that Karen had already turned on the air conditioning before we arrived. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so walking into a cool apartment was incredibly thoughtful and made settling in much easier for the kids.
The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well set up for a short family stay. The car park was also very convenient and easy to access when entering or exiting the building, which made things simple when travelling with kids and luggage. Another practical feature was the waste chute located directly outside the apartment via an accessible service door, making it very easy to dispose of rubbish whenever needed.
The building also has a rooftop pool with magnificent views of the city. Unfortunately it seems to be quite popular with residents and guests. Each time we tried to visit (both mornings and evenings) it was very crowded, so we weren’t able to enjoy it during our stay. The only technical issue we experienced was with the Wi-Fi on the TV, which disconnected almost every day. After some troubleshooting we realised it was connecting to a sub Wi-Fi network instead of the SSID listed in the guest book. I have advised the host to have this checked so future guests don’t run into the same problem.
Also worth noting for future guests: the listing mentions Netflix, but the apartment actually has a smart TV where you can download apps like YouTube, Amazon Prime, Netflix and ABC iView. You’ll need to sign in with your own accounts to access the content.
- Rebecca (10/5): Breathing taking views from a he rooftop pool. - So close to the Brisbane bridge and restaurants. Easy access to transport. Not having a second key or fob, which meant we all had to leave as a family to the pool or out to the shops, because the fob, little round disc got you in to all areas.
- Xiao yin (10/5): -
- Courtney (7/5): Great location beautiful views amazing pool - Great instructions given, easy to find central location. The Owner very responsive to messages. Easy to access key and fob swipe
Carpark underbuilding with own allocated park allows easy access.
Service store located next door great if needing quick supplies.
Roof top Pool is just beautiful , with the
View from top floor being breatph taking.
Able to watch aeroplanes coming in and all the action of the city but room is reasonably quiet once doors and windows shut .
unfortunatly the hand soap was empty/not restocked prior to our stay
Has all amenities one could need and a small amount of necessities supplied.
Had a cot and high chair supplied which was fantastic for our family.
Nice clean crisp clean bedding and towels. Also supplied towels for pool.
Nice strong wifi
Overall a great place with good location Room could have done with a deep clean, main shower was a little grubby and not to clean standard you would normally see at this price point. Carpets could do with a good deep clean and found a few bottle caps under couch as we moved it to set up bed for baby. Unfortunatly the hand soap was empty/not restocked prior to our stay. BUT THESE ARE ALL JUST SMALL MINOR ISSUES and would still stay again.
Be mindful if booking in summer that the airconditioning is not running on arrival in apartment, when we arrived it was blistering hot in the room with afternoon sun coming in all rooms/windows, im sure this would be lovley in the winter but not ideal in summer . The aircon is sufficient but not super strong, and took a long time to cool apartment down even with blinds down. Would suggest to owner if possibile to close blinds in summer prior to guest check in as the heat was almost unbearable for the first 4 hours of arrival due to apartment being so hot.
Besides this was a great stay.

- Sue (10/5): Fantastic - the pool and the views more soap
- Gail (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Really good place to stay, but in my naivety I thought the pool was part of apartment. - The pool area was amazing If anything, I thought apartment balcony was smaller than I expected.
- Jodine (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (8/5): Close to everything, modern apartment - Location was excellent- walkimg distance to everything
Secure building
Good undercover carpark
Pool was excellent

Lovely bathrooms Not enough sheets or towels for number of people I booked for
Quilt insert had a blood stain on it
- Angie (10/5): The apartment was superb, clean and tidy. The complimentary bottle of wine was gratefully received. - The location was superb and so was the view. Karen was responsive to all my questions. Loved the centricity of it all, quick walk down by the river, shops, restaurants, it was just easy. Wifi didn't work on Day 1. Host asked us to contact the service provider but we were too tired. It worked the next day.
- Belsius (10/5): Stunning and will definitely be back! - It is a beautiful apartment, very clean and the host are very thoughtful and responsive. The pool area is stunning! Good location too for what we needed. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this place. Nothing not to like about this place!
- Michael (9/5): Superb - What's not to love! The pool is epic & the view insane. Staff very helpful and facilities nice & clean Nothing!
- Shaoshuai (9/5): Very good! - 10/10 Only the checkin and checkout process is complicate.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Karen, the host, was fantastic and so helpful. The location was great and the views were fantastic 👏 There was nothing to dislike
- Susan (9/5): We enjoyed our short stay - Good location, once I found it
Pool area was amazing
Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch No door/gate remote, no bags for rubbish, no vacuum cleaner, no dustpan,
The spray cleaner for benches was empty.
- Will (8/5): A convenient stay with great amenities, though some areas need improvement. - I loved the convenient location, which made it easy to explore Brisbane, and the infinity pool on Level 23 was absolutely amazing. It offered stunning views and a perfect spot to unwind. The apartment itself was stylish and well-equipped, with Netflix and reliable Wi-Fi making it feel cosy and comfortable. The clear instructions for accessing the property were also a great touch. There were a few areas for improvement during my stay. Firstly, the pool area on Level 23 had no functioning lights at night, making it difficult to enjoy a night swim. Secondly, as this property operates as an Airbnb, there were no luggage storage solutions after checkout, which can be inconvenient for guests with late flights. Additionally, I noticed some noise disturbances during my stay, likely from conversations in neighbouring apartments, suggesting that the soundproofing could be better. Lastly, the cleanliness of the apartment could have been improved—food was left under the living room couches, and the kitchen rubbish bin had leftover waste both in the bag and at the bottom of the bin.
- Jeannine (8/5): FANTASTIC VIEW - Loved the view. The pool was a surprise, right on the roof.
The space was great and the beds really comfortable. The flat could do with a really deep clean. It was very grubby in places.
The beach towels folded in a cupboard were not washed but there were plenty of other towels we could use.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edwards (8/5): Very good -
- Jamie (6/5): Lovely CBD stay. - Lovely location, very clean, great pool! We’re a family of three travelling with an almost four year old. Limited bin liners, spray and wipe and lack of something akin to a stick vacuum were missing. Admittedly we were only there for five nights, but it would have made things a little more comfy for sure!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marian (9/5): Superb -
- Isabel (10/5): Great location, clean, access to awesome pool with full view of storey bridge, definitely recommend this property - Liked pretty much everything, it was a great location, clean, and very nice facilities in the building. Appreciated the little welcome treats as well :) The air conditioning took a very long time to work (a good 2 hours) so it was quite stuffy
- Damo (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Midhun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (7/5): Good -
- Alice (9/5): Fantastic stay for sure - Apartment clean and nice view When we got there we code for internet was not working until we had to call
- Ryan (10/5): Had an overall great time, I’m likely to return - Host was very helpful upon arrival over the phone, beautiful view of sunrises/sunsets, likely to come back and stay again, my partner and I enjoyed ourselves a lot Not really much to complain about, shower was a bit smaller than expected but that’s nitpicking, and I’m not one to criticise on small things that are uncontrollable because it’s petty and I’m not the entitled type, my shower at home isn’t much different anyways so yeah not heaps to worry about
- Margaret (7/5): Good for one night stay. - Great views, handy walking location to wharf & restaurants. Thank you for welcoming gift. Starting to look tired inside. Lampshade frayed, parts fell out of dryer when opened, bathrooms clean but not fresh feeling. Could have supplied mattress and cot sheet for cot.
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic, all the facilities in the within the building where straight forward and simple to use. The view from the apartment and the roof top pool was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling with friends, felt like a home away from home. N/a
- Tam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristian (9/5): Our stay provided us with perfect accommodation whilst me and my friends enjoyed a weekend holiday in Brisbane. - The accomodation was perfect and well cleaned on arrival, also it was in a great location and the welcome gifts were a very kind gesture. Would definitely recommend others to stay at this property!
- Markus (9/5): Superb -
- Jacquelyn (8/5): Good apartment - Good sized apartment. Furniture comfortable. Had lots of extras in kitchen which was great. Pool nice but not heated and can get VERY windy up there to the point you can’t use. Building short walk to river and Howard Smith Wharves and around 10 mins to Queen St Mall area. Instructions to collect keys were very easy to follow. Overall a quiet apartment and great sized rooms & lounge room. A few little things that wouldn’t stop me staying again but thought others should know: having one key for a 2 bdrm apartment is inconvenient particularly as you need the key to access areas within the building as well. I’d prefer to have paid a bond and been able to have 2 fobs.
Apartment needs a good deep clean, it’s very dusty.
It’s on the corner of two busy streets so you do hear traffic all night but it wasn’t bad enough to stop me from sleeping - those sensitive to noise take earplugs.
Bedrooms get very warm in afternoon as face West. We just had to remember to put curtains down when we went out otherwise rooms were like a hot box and aircon only did so much.
- Kris (9/5): Superb -
- Louis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): Was a clean comfortable stay overall -
- Kurt (7/5): Good -
- Aron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Pool was amazing. The apartment was 10/10. Was a shame it wasn't open until 7am. So watching the sunrise as planned was watched through the window.
- Bas (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Great apartment we had a fabulous time - Great complex How the car park is numbered …numbers on the ground don’t match the wall but worked it out
- Starbecks (10/5): Very inviting, comfortable stay. Thank you - The property was in a central position within the city.
Walking distance to shops and restaurants
- Roseanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Very comfortable central base but avoid rush hour traffic. - Central location, high floor with great views. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and laundry & good showers.
Good views from rooftop infinity pool deck at Level 40.
It was good to have some basic ingredients like salt, pepper, oil and coffee & tea.
Close to river and ferries and riverside restaurants although Eagle Pier was closed for construction work. CBD location: evening rush hour traffic made access difficult, particularly as lock box with key was kept in a one way street at the rear of the entrance. Also late notification to exit carpark either the night before or early morning.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Shane (7/5): Good -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (8/5): Very good - great location, spacious apartment. only 2 of 3 elevators working, and sometimes took a while to come.
- Juanita (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (8/5): Very good - Excellent location. Host was quick to respond and easy to communicate with.
- Vy (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Central location with great facilities made for an enjoyable family weekend amongst city lights - The aspect of the unit was nice overlooking the city lights. With the great views from the 40th level pool was awesome. Central position made city access easy and a short stroll to Southbank was a bonus. Foxtel was enjoyed by the kids at night watching a new movie is always enjoyable The kitchen plates and cutlery needed a rewash before use and both hair dryers were broken.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Brendan (8/5): Very good -
- Siddhartha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tomlinson (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, lovely location, rooftop pool and gym

- Spry (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (10/5): Thank you to Karen for making check-in and check-out seamless. - The Spire apartment was outstanding. All the comforts of home, together with an exceptional view and luxury rooftop pool, it truly was an indulgent stay in the heart of Brisbane’s buzzing city centre. Do not hesitate to book this apartment. you will not be disappointed. There were no negatives, you can be reassured of a positive experience.
- Claire (8/5): excellent stay - pool, view and location the walls need a paint, no coffee pods and only one key.
- Jason (7/5): Good - Convenient Location Lock Box complicated especially during rain. Car Spot tricky to find.
- Megan (7/5): Good -
- Troy (9/5): Superb - The location is incredible and the views over Brisbane are great!
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Karen was very helpful , the apartment was very clean and beds were comfy
- Hawaida (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Hariet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deepankur (2/5): Not worth the amount at which this place is being advertised. - Except the location, I don’t think anything else is worth mentioning about this property. We had high expectations but unfortunately it disappointed us at all levels. To start with, I’d say the entire process of checkin is complex. It felt like doing treasure hunt on the streets of Brisbane. Even though the instructions were shared with us but should be made aware to the guest before booking.
THe apartment is old and smells along the same lines. To add there was lack of attention to details for e.g. in the bathrooms, empty hand wash bottles were left for us. The body shower and shampoo compartment were also almost finished. The carpet to the living area and bedrooms definitely require a good wash as we could see spots everywhere. Even though the kitchen was over stocked with cutlery but basic necessities like dishwashing sponge was no where to be found. Its tag line of this apartment has the work “Netflix” but only if one could find the remote to turn on the TV. They kept a bottle of red wine and a pack of M&Ms which is a good gesture but I feel that our stay here lacked a number of things which I weigh more than the complimentary stuff. The price point at which I had booked this place definitely does not justify with what you get.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Scottyj (9/5): Comfy with so many positives - The room was lovely and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. The infinity pool area was stunning! Karen was a great host with easy communication, the entire process was easy and seamless and the lovely little touches were noticed and appreciated. The only minor issue was the key fob did not always work in the elevator, not sure if that's a battery issue or something that can be repaired but it was very frustrating and resulted in many additional trips. Having one key for 3 adults was tricky, particularly when everyone was going to different places.
- Pfeiler (3/5): The pool was freezing cold. - The pool was freezing cold. I booked this property specifically for the pool but was unable to use it. Very disappointing.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - The instructions for collecting the keys and gaining access to the property were very clear
- Russell (7/5): Great location, poor communication, ok condition, over priced compared to others. - Great location. Nice Pool area. Communication around the access was very poor, no information on having to pick up keys elsewhere etc.
Owner blamed Booking.com for this, not true, we have stay in dozens of properties and not had this issue before.
Photos a little misleading, the quality is ok, but not as good as the photos.
General upkeep is making the property look tied, for the rate being charged.
- Juliana (7/5): not quite worth the price - good views, spacing is good, toilet / showers are good pillows horrible
towels bad
blankets / bedsheets not clean
