- Brett (10/5): Exceptional - Booking.com did not mention anything about a lockbox, so luckily I called the phone number. Booking.com just mentioned that check in was between 3pm and midnight. If I didn't call inside of business hours, I wouldn't have known anything about the lockbox. I was also not given any parking informing, when the reservation mentioned off street parking.
- Nevine (7/5): A great location! Close to everything! - The location was wonderful- right in the middle of town next door to the supermarket, restaurants and beach. Also having the swimming pool in the property was a real advantage. There is also BBQ facilities next to the swimming pool.
Because of its good location-, if you like fresh prawns, you can buy them off the jetty- absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The market is held on Sundays next to the church. Lovely ambience and some good produce. I think there could be improvement in facilities. For example the main light in the dining room did not work. The lamp in the living room did not work but was replaced when I mentioned it to the owner.
We felt there was insufficient lighting at night in the dining/ living room area.
The wardrobe has gone off its rails so it is not easy to use.
The kitchen does not have much bench space for food preparation and finally the front door handle is damaged and needs replacing. The bathroom could do with an update.
Finally, as we stayed for 13 nights, we would have hoped to have a change of sheets after one week and to have the apartment cleaned given our extended stay. There was no vacuum cleaner we could see to clean the apartment so we felt uncomfortable not having a clean unit in the second week.
- Veronica (8/5): The stay was good but was very disappointed with the car park - We didn't have breakfast. The car park was very difficult to park a big car
and should be mentioned in the information
about property
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (6/5): Disappointed - Close proximity to town Sofa bed was old and we had to bend the hinges to get it straight. Horrible mattress was charged $20 for 2 sheets per night so $80 total. Not changed at any stay. So cheaper to have bought sheets at K mart. Didn’t find the private pool. Could see pools from window but didn’t know how to get to them. Very difficult driveway for SUV.
- Sam (8/5): Very good - Location is fantastic right in the heart of town The parking is very difficult for large vehicles.
Fan in bedroom is very noisy.
No coffe machine
- Wendy (9/5): Top spot in centre of town - Lived the position in the Main Street and the decore and balcony Stove top didn’t work and neither did many of the lights . Also the iron was too dirty to use and front door handle needed attention . We did report all of these these but didn’t hear any solutions
- Nardia (6/5): Cosy - The Location was in the heart of the town . Lamp didn’t work, pool towels were stained , only one cook top worked , no colander for cooking pasta.
- Karen (3/5): Poor - Location & car parking Front door handle broken, limited space for suitcases, wardrobe doors off the rails & full with baby chair & ironing board, exhaust fan in bathroom not working, no pegs, low hanging lightshade..watch ya head, furniture could be rearranged for further comfort. Too busy.. needs redecorating...
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful unit. Air con was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Shower had great pressure. Some maintenance wouldn't go astray, but nothing that affected our stay.
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (8/5): Absolutely loved the apartment and where it was situated. Unfortunately cannot say much about the caretakers of the esta - It is a fantastic location, right in the middle of Port Douglas. Ample restaurants and drinking establishments.
Unit was great, just the right size for my husband and myself, kitchen had everything you needed.
Unfortunately here comes the let downs for the unit. I have travelled extensively throughout Australia and the rest of the world. This unit LACKED any information on the amazing place we were in.
We had to google how to work the
microwave.( convection oven/never
used one before) This could have all
been put into an information book,
how to use, Recommendations as to the best restaurants and places to go etc. emergency phone numbers etc.
2. The first night, the lights in the bathroom went out, we had to wait until the Monday to have an electrician attend to fix the lighting.
3. The Kettle looked like it had never been cleaned, unfortunately I was advised that we would get another kettle. Unfortunately that never happened.
4. The dishwasher was on the nose, will need to be cleaned out.
5. We approached the management of the establishment asking about clean towels/ sheets, to be told that the owner of that unit does pay us to clean. So again unfortunately they weren’t very nice to speak to.
6. I contacted the owner of the unit to ask about towels/ sheets to get a text messages advising me that they are not a hotel. Which I did advise that I do understand it isn’t a hotel, unfortunately we were then told that I only paid for 1 towel each and the sheets on the bed. I advised her that we had the unit for two weeks. The come back then was I normally only have people stay for between 2 & 7 days. So we were told we needed to pay for more towels and sheets. ( remember no information book or information on the booking information).
7. We were so annoyed at the fact we weren’t advised of the towel sheet situation. I refused to part with anymore money to the owner I purchased my own towels.
8. So I will give a 10 for the unit and the location & a 4 for the owner and the way she manages her site.
I would like to give out some advice.
1. Make the travels aware straight off the top about towels/ linen etc.
- Beb (8/5): We’ve had a great time:) thank you. - Great vibes and nice room None
- Roseanne (8/5): Very good - The ceiling fans were an issue. Could not work them at all.

We Loved everything about our short stay
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mylan (9/5): Superb -
- Lynne (9/5): Loved it - Everything was spot on Loud pump noise all night?
- Dalit (7/5): Good - -Can’t beat the Location . Central and quite
-Owner was away , Belinda who was in charge was responsive and very helpful! Thank you -Fan ceiling and air con need fixing
- cleaning standards can be improved . We had a dirty towel which was replaced as soon as I complained
- be aware the space is on the small side
- Megan (9/5): beautiful - location and facilities the decore was beautiful fan didn’t wrk properly
- Nicole (9/5): Cosy apartment in the thick of town - Great location on the main street of Port Douglas; you can easily walk to cafes, restaurants, the beach and the marina. The apartment is spacious, with a balcony for enjoying balmy nights, and very quiet even though it’s right in the centre of town. I had some trouble turning off the ceiling fans (they weren’t needed as it wasn’t super hot) - so the controls should be looked at. There are quite a few steps to get up to the apartment (no lift) which was fine for me, but might not be suitable for older people.
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
