- Cuthbertson (8/5): Yes, I had some issues, but I feel confident that they will be addressed promptly, although the fence might not because - I had some issues, but I really liked this little house. It is a really cute and quite well laid out. It’s in a very quiet location, yet still very close to the CBD. Nice private backyard. Plenty of on street parking. Great heating. Dog friendly (although the backyard fence is falling apart and needs to be addressed urgently). Rooms are surprisingly spacious for a small cottage.
The manager’s even arranged for a new stick vac to be dropped off after I requested it. My Kelpie is a shedder and I wanted to not leave her hair accumulating around the place. The rear fence is falling apart. It’s a very ancient timber paling fence with rotted palings falling off and gaps patched with rusty nails protruding where the boards have fallen off. Fortunately my dog is a bit bigger and doesn’t go too far from us, but the fence would not contain a small or adventurous dog. I also think the risk of being caught on a rusty fence nail is a duty of care issue for pets and guests.
Despite the listing stating there is on site parking, there is not. Before arriving, specifically asked if the site could fit our car and trailer, I was assured they could be accommodated on site. I hope the listing has been amended, because it caused a major hassle for us trying to find somewhere to store the trailer for 8 days.
The one thing it really lacked was decent cooking pans/saucepans!!! Only a couple of reasonable pans, nothing outstanding about them, with the other pans being a very cheap thin tin and rusting in the bottom. I could not cook on them. I’d suggest buying some cheap but good solid set of stainless steel pans. The pans were a real let down and a complete opposite to everything else in the kitchen, which was reasonably equipped.
- Steve (8/5): Definitely A Charmer - Central heating worked very well.
Modern kitchen and bathroom.
HUGE mugs (great on really cold days)
Outside toilet (when the inside was in use) High sided bath (shower over bath) made getting in and out a bit difficult.
Layout online suggested third bedroom/ensuite was at back in main house; was a granny flat at the rear.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ernest (8/5): Love orange will be back - Location was good but back door wouldn’t open with keys sent email no answer then lamps to full to read in bed had to buy 2 to replace ones that didn’t work other than that we had a lovely stay Communication was not very good regarding the locked back door
- Sue (10/5): Relaxing enjoyable stay at this accommodation - We were so happy with the location, cleanliness & that it was pet friendly. The size was perfect for our family & it was so quiet. Everyone enjoyed their stay Can’t think of anything we didn’t like
- John (10/5): Outstanding Stay in Gorgeous Orange - Everything exceeded our expectations. Couldn't stay longer!!??
