• Mancho (9/5): Pleasant Stay at Casa Benso - We loved the apartment! it is in an old building which has huge wooden gates and beautiful entrance hall. Location was great, Castel Sant' Angelo was just 5 minutes walking distance, St. Peters Basilic was like 15 minutes walking distance and Vatican was max 20 minutes walking distance from the apartment. We even walked (appr. 20 min) to the Trevi fountain and other central parts of the city. Bus stop was also 3 min away if you would prefer to use transport. Apartment has all necessary amenities and well equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms with king bed and one single bed is placed in the living room. When entering the apartment from the outside, you are going directly to this "living room". So, for the person who will sleep there, there's not much privacy, but it wasn't a big issue for us. The only thing we would like to have is sofa or armchairs to chill during the evening. The only area we could sit together was kitchen. There was only one armchair in one of the bedrooms and that was it. But we still loved the apartment and the experience we had there.

• Joanna (7/5): Appartment súper but difficult communication with host - We arrived late at the Property and someone waited for us. The beds were really confortable and the appartement very clean. You should be more transparent and spécific on the conditions of check in. When we agreed on a price, then I was asked for more money. After asking for an explanation, no answer.

• Ian (10/5): Excellent location and first class accommodation - Fantastic location, excellent apartment, clean, quiet and well suited for a short break to Rome. Easy access to the apartment and excellent communication throughout with Francesco. All the major site are easily walkable no need for Taxi’s or the tram. A first class experience. Leaving…..we would have stayed longer given the chance!

• Szymura (10/5): Bardzo dobry apartament w świetnej lokalizacji. - Dogodna lokalizacja, cisza i spokój, ale wszędzie blisko. Szybki i bezproblemowy kontakt w właścicielem. Apartament przestronny i funkcjonalny, było w nim wszystko, co potrzebne, niczego nie brakowało.

I recommend this property to other that want to be close to the Vatican - The location was nice but I think we would have preferred being closer to the center next time. Again, location was good being close to the Vatican but next time we’d stay closer to city Centre.

Very friendly host, who came to assist with the arrival and he did explain all that was needed very well. The accommodation was perfect for what we needed. This was not really a problem for us. But for the size of the appartment a second toilet/bathroom for bigger groups would be better.

• Scott (6/5): Great central location outside mainstream tourist areas, but no where to relax other than kitchen. - Location location location! The host couldn’t have been nicer! Clean except for shower. This is a 1 bedroom apartment that has been converted by eliminating the living room. There is no common area other than the kitchen. The primary bedroom that is in the living room off the foyer has no ac. So you have to leave the doors open to the foyer to get ac. There is not a corkscrew at the apartment.

The apartment is in a super location, close to all the major attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. Being able to walk to landmarks and enjoy the vibrant surroundings was a major plus. The owner, Francesco, was incredibly nice and helpful. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, providing excellent recommendations for local dining and sightseeing, and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. His hospitality truly enhanced our experience. The apartment itself was great—clean, well-appointed, and cozy. Although it’s on the ground floor with limited natural light, this was not a major issue since we spent most of our time out exploring the city. It was actually quite nice to come back to a cool, quiet place after a day of sightseeing. Overall, A Casa Benso was a fantastic choice for our Roman holiday. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located place with a wonderful host, this is definitely the place to stay. Highly recommended! One small suggestion for improvement would be to add some hooks or a rack in the bathroom to hang towels. This would make it even more convenient.

It was a bit noisy while we’re staying because there were some construction work in the building.

We enjoyed our stay. It's a ground level apartment so you have to keep the shades facing the street closed if you don't want to be seen.

Airport shuttle directly stops close to the house. Host very helpful, arranged early check in amd also late check out. Apartment spacious. 3 room s can be used as bedrooms and the kitchen as sitting area. Washing machine, dishwasher available. I would go to the same place if I visit Rome or would highly recommend to friends. Apartment is located in a beutiful house on piazza cavour, which was a fantastic for kids in the evening. Super clean. Super apartment. Super host. Super location. House has an oven and thats great, however a microwave would be extra bonus☺️ There is nothing I wouldnt like.
