Guest Reviews
- Andreas (9/5): -

- Tetszett a hely, megfelelt a leirasnak
- Alexander (7/5): Good -
- Will (9/5): Superb -
- Christian (6/5): Pleasant - We overall enjoyed the stay. The location what great for our purpose as we were looking for a place exactly in this corner of Camden/Islington. The apartment was clean, the heating and water worked well. Also, the living room and bedroom were quite spacious.
We didn't meet Ben, but via chat he was very responsive and promised to address the points below raised in our feedback. The apartment is a BASEMENT apartment. That is of course OK, but it NEEDS to be mentioned in the description as it is a critical piece of information (at the time we booked it wasn't stated in the description).
What that means is it has very low ceilings (just about a bit more than 2 m) and a guest taller than 1,85 m would hit the head in some places in the kitchen and near the bathroom. It has also a musty/moldy smell, which at first you notice a lot, but then kind of got used to. The apartment is also a bit dark per se. From street sidewalk passers-by can look down into sleeping room – which is why we kept the curtains closed and this made it even darker inside.
The gas combustion heater for the apartment is in the bedroom. This was a bit uneasy for us, but I guess it is OK – not sure there was a gas/fume alarm in the bedroom - didn’t see one. In any case, during the night when the heater cycled on and off, it was a bit disturbing.
The apartment was not "new", more like “newly listed” after being recently partially refurbished. The kitchen was old and not very well maintained, although we enjoyed the espresso machine and water kettle.
Overall, the apartment is spacious, but there should be more places to place and stow things, more hooks for coats, towels etc. Also, although the bedroom is spacious, the bed is rather narrow for 2 people.
It seems like I am overly critical here, but, yes, we were disappointed as the rating was very high with 8.0 or more (At the time we booked there were only very few ratings). For us it was more like a 6 or 7 rating, which is OK if you book it knowingly.
- Ivan (9/5): Good value, excellent location. - The location is excellent and the apartment has all yo need for a long weekend in London. Very good access to St.Pancras. The only thing if there is something to say, it is a basement so if you have trolleys you will have to pull them down.
- Ioana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Location and amenities were great, would recommend. I would book there again personally. - Great location, close to stores and transportation. Very comfortable bed, the sleeper in the living room was decent according to my son. The shower was great. Low ceilings. Not much can be done about that. I’m tall so it’s a problem no matter where I go.
